O'Donnell Buggy Due 1st August

Well I think this is the most expensive buggy on the market ($649.99 making it more than Kyosho :surprised: ) and probably doesn't come with wheels or tyres. Anyone looking at getting one?

Doesn't look like anything special to me. I'll stick with my SH ZMXB-8 buggy, it's LOADED with innovative features, at $200 less.

NNNaaaa get an 808.. you will be very happy with it, I still have not broke mine and I’ve tried, it light and extremely well belt.

Just a thought..

Lol, I have yet to break my buggy as well. I haven't driven it as roughly as I used to drive other RCs, guess that's a benefit of having driven RC for so long. And to think, I've got about $90 worth of spares for it...

I'll be interested in taking that 808 for a spin sometime at OCRC!

TDC57 07.05.2008 01:38 AM

Anytime Sir, I'm looking forward to driving yours next Sunday, wait to you try my GEVO on 8s, that will blow your mind..:party:

Sign me up for two of them!!! If Tebo drives it then I have to have it!!! I have a feeling he drives it cause they pay him...

Rely on brand name to sell. I hope people are not blind, Kyosho did this a lot imho. I see nothing special on this car.
Best bang for buck will be hyper 9, Hobao is making good and sturdy car for years.
And 808 is a killer machine. You paid the price but the quality is there ...

James acctually he has been hooked up with odonell for years. He helped develop the car & other odonell products.

True, I mainly said that due to the fact that most of the 1/8 buggies are the same, and will all most likely perform very similar when driven by an exceptional driver like tebo. I am sure he has set the odonnell buggy up the way he likes it, and it will work well for him. I have no idea why it is so expensive, most likely cause it is new...

i thought the same thing. they all look pretty similiar except for small things that should not raise the price hundreds of dollars.

Yes they do all look a like except for the losi 8 . But TEBO could drive a shoe box with wheels & still win . The odonell name has a good reutation maybe thats why.

When was the last time Tebo had even win a 1/8 race? I see him winning 1/10 races but don't even think I have seen him win a 1/8 race this year.

Is that price for real.... I will stick w/my mbx-5, have had it for 3yrs. only broke 1 part so far. I could almost buy 2 buggies for that price...

Tower Hobbies has it listed at the same price.
It doesn't include tyres but not 100% sure if it includes wheels.

Exclusive Rapid Reaction rear suspension!

By moving the inner hinge pins away for the buggys center, we've created a suspension that improves overall stability, reduces weight and reacts faster during turns. And while it may only add up to a 1/10 of a second over the course of a race...just remember that races have been decided by far less...

Not every R/C company reacts so rapidly to customer requests, but O'Donnell does

Raced against an Odonell sponsored guy driving the Odonell Buggy and Truggy today. The buggy and truggy both look awesome. Lets just say he won today by multiple laps against the club racing crowd that normally attends our local races. Cool to see the proto buggy and truggy in person though. I wish I had a camera with me.

Looks like theyu should be nice.
