Papa 10.05.2005 10:39 PM

Losi is suggesting $199.00 I see a Mamba 25 competition X (8000kv) coming in the near future! Hmm...lipo

squeeforever 10.05.2005 10:42 PM

not bad

nitrostarter 10.05.2005 11:17 PM

dual motored little monster. what will they think of next?

rchippie 10.05.2005 11:32 PM

How big is it ?.

mothman 10.05.2005 11:38 PM

Should be the size of 1/18th..

Serum 10.06.2005 01:45 AM

Dual mamba comp X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dafni 10.06.2005 02:08 AM

Or maybe a small Wanderer? Or two? ;)

Nice RC! At the first glance I thought it's Maxx size, but then I looked again.

Oh, the tempting world of RC cars ..... darn sensitive "wanna-have" nerve.

dabid 10.06.2005 02:41 AM

Meh, I got no "tingle" whatsoever for that truck, probably doesn't help that I'm not really a Losi fan though. :D

THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT!
Darn, and I just bought me a, er....I mean my daughter an R/C 18T for her B-day a couple of days ago.
Well there is always my other daughter who turns one in December.......

mothman 10.06.2005 04:04 AM

I think this is the best looking 1/18th truck at the moment.. I think Im going to get one.

Gustav 10.06.2005 05:18 AM

i think it's awesome,a scaled down LST!

However, because they followed the chassis construction/layout as the LST,it has the same problem the big LST does when it comes to electric conversion which is where to put the batts. They must go in a little box under the reciver and ESC but space may be a little limited for more cells.

I'm sure the esc and reciever could find new homes though, leaving more room for cells.I wonder if i could get 8 gp2200s and my basic 4200 on there;)

Serum 10.06.2005 05:24 AM

trade that 4200 for a 5300...

It will be a blast on 3S lipo's..

Gustav 10.06.2005 05:30 AM

Ooh,it's got a center diff and a slipper.

Who's gonna be the first to test the drivetrain then.:D

Dafni 10.06.2005 05:41 AM

My RC18T dreams suddenly get clouded....

decisions, decisions.

crazyjr 10.06.2005 06:06 AM

I like it. It has a thicker motorplate than an emaxx.

Papa 10.06.2005 08:15 AM

I think I have found my, I mean my sons Christmas present. Box two will have the brushless in it, and maybe throw a couple of 3s lipo in the stocking....:L:

Nick 10.06.2005 12:19 PM

Twin Mamba 8000kv... hmmm. :D

Electric Dave 10.06.2005 01:28 PM

If they made it 1:10th it would be an E-Maxx killer. (well, with all the usual hopups...)

Gustav 10.06.2005 01:30 PM

Now that's fightin' talk:L:

Not a G-maxx killer though with it's cell placement.

Electric Dave 10.06.2005 01:37 PM

I know...but with the E-Revo (or whatever Mike & G-Maxx are going to call it) on the way, I'd say the real deal E-Maxx's days are numbered...

Serum 10.06.2005 02:41 PM

You're wrong mac.

It's not that one replaces another..

Gustav 10.06.2005 02:44 PM

Yeah the stock Maxx still has it's place, great starter RTR MT with endless hopup ability.Personally i hope it lives forever considering what it did for our hobby.

Serum 10.06.2005 02:54 PM

Amen Gustav...

It will last for a while for sure!!

Gustav 10.06.2005 02:58 PM

Not only that,i actually like raised chassis trucks too.Just thinking of Aqwut's truck for an example.

Electric Dave 10.06.2005 02:59 PM

Yes, you guys are right, I should have said...In E-MT Racing, the real deal E-Maxx's days are numbered. I only use mine for one thing and I loose sight sometimes of how other people use their trucks.

As a starter truck or beginner racer it will continue to be a great choice.

Nick 10.06.2005 03:54 PM

The Maxx is an awsome truck, just the only let down is the weight, in which some cases is expensive to make it light.

And a very weak driveline.....other than that, my favourite rc ever.

RC-Monster Mike 10.06.2005 11:22 PM

The g-Revo is awesome, but it won't replace my e-maxx. If I had anything near a stock e-maxx, the electric revo would be the clear winner, but My g-maxx is an awesome race machine that performs to a level that is tough to beat. I have to much money, time and effort to simply move on. The Electric revo will be a force for sure, but it simply won't replace my g-maxx.

Dafni 10.10.2005 02:32 AM

Is the Mini LST available yet??

Batfish 10.10.2005 09:54 AM

Horizon Hobby lists it as "mid November". Looks like there will be a little wait for it.

standard_63 11.21.2005 03:24 PM

So Castle Creations says the Mamba is too small for this heavier mini truck, so I'm thinking of going with a Warrior 7018 and one of the finned Feigao 380c motors. Would this be a good setup or would I be better off with a 400 sized can? I'm thinking 10s or so...

I like the look of the finned 380s, I don't know if that style is available in 400 size or not. Not sure which would be a direct fit either...anyone know?

Does Mike sell any of the sub 540 motors? Is RC-Monster closing for xmas holidays at all?

nbcaznmaster 11.21.2005 04:25 PM

lol, make a custom 540 motor mount for it! go 50mph down teh street on teh mini-lst!

MetalMan 11.21.2005 07:43 PM

Most likely 540 size motors will not fit without modification. The 380C motors have 540 mounting holes. The standard 380 should fit.

squeeforever 11.21.2005 08:00 PM

would dual mambas have enough torque?

MetalMan 11.21.2005 08:12 PM

They might get hot. Maybe dual 5400s would work, or else slightly larger motors running on dual Mamba 25 controllers.

standard_63 11.21.2005 08:47 PM

It looks like a few companies may be working on 400 setups for the mini LST. An AON 4800 mamba 25 combo and a Warp4 2 turn and Mamba 25 combo. The Warp4 looks cool, I almost ordered one but might try and hold out until one is actually tested.

crazyjr 11.21.2005 10:40 PM

According to Richard T. of Team Losi they tried a single Mamba 2080 setup with 2s and 3s lipo's and said it moved it pretty good on 2s and blew a tire on 3s. This thread was on one18th.com, but i couldn't find it. If i find it, i will set a link for you
