first try of my e-revo

I've finaly try my new e-revo today, this truck realy rock!!!
This is super quiet, very good suspension, and realy easy to do a clean setup on this new truck.

I run it on 6s li-po, with RCM revo hybrid V2 diffs, gear 24/62, with a Neu 2.5d/f and a MGM 16018.
The tire is proline badlands and wheel is JConcept Rulux half offset wheel.
I've put the revo titanium sway bar kit.

The truck is a blast to drive, wheely on demand, and i've tune the suspension with orange spring front and gold spring rear, and the truck is stick to the ground.

The next time i'll gona make a little trip to the track just to see how it is on a track.

I love this truck, no mod, no conversion kit need, just put a god motor and controller, and it's ready to rip:party:

That's why we need pics

david lamontagn 08.01.2008 08:14 AM

:lol:I don't have any time to take pics, but for the li-po, i use Thunder Power Extreme V2, 11.1 volts, 5000mAh. They fit perfectly in the e-revo batterie compartment.

VintageMA 08.01.2008 09:01 AM

How do you like the sway bars? Was thinking of getting a set myself.

david lamontagn 08.01.2008 11:10 AM

I realy like it, but i've put the thicker front and rear.
Pair with the Ofna half offset wheel, this rock!!!

That would be the first question my wife would ask...."what color is it?"

david lamontagn 08.01.2008 02:04 PM

My wife don't have the chance to ask me this question, because when i buy a new r/c, i never tell her about that.
But when the box arrive at home, normally she is about 2-3 days without speak to me:lol::lol::lol:

Can you imagine her face when i've recieve my Maja SS last week......................................

The first thing I would say is "David you have done just a great job in decorating the doghouse".....LOL...and here is a good quote ...." it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission".....

David - Don't feel bad at all. When I bought an LST2 and it was delivered my gf at the time (wifey now for 2 weeks!!!!!!!) looked at it and asked if she could sit on it and I could drive her around our apartment.

When I bought the E-Revo she came into the rc store with me and her jaw was on the floor as I bought it.

Now - I bought a 2250/12 LMT from a guy on the forum and when I hold it in my hand I envision the MCD 1/5 scale MCD 4WD buggy RaceRunner I am going to buy once we move out of downtown Boston into the CT burbs (all awaiting a long coming job transfer).

So as far as I am concerned - don't feel bad by the expression on the wife's face - we all have a weird obsession spending as much on toy cars as we have spent on a real car.:tongue:

Can't wait to see the look on her face when I open up a box with a 25lb 2 foot long by 1 1/2 foot wide buggy in it and just smile from cheek to cheek!!! :mdr: Face it - they know we're nuts - but better it be on RC cars that spending nights in some lame pub with da' guys or out cheatin' on em and stuff.

david lamontagn 08.01.2008 11:37 PM

We are all the same, and sometimes (once a month) i said to my wife: I love you baby!
And i can see a new face thrue the next USPS guys knocking at my door:lol:

e-mike 08.01.2008 11:44 PM

ptt81 08.02.2008 12:22 AM

Hi david! how exactly do you configure your shocks? or whatever else that make it "stick to the ground" I've left mine all stock and it keeps rolling all over when ever I hit the brake, or is that suppose to happend no matter what I do? like in real life...hehe.

david lamontagn 08.02.2008 12:25 AM

Stock oil, front and rear sway bar, gold spring rear and orange spring front, and half offset wheel.:intello:

ptt81 08.02.2008 12:32 AM

do you know the exact part #? im sorry im new to this whole RC stuff and im going to need more details, whats front and rear sway bar? half offset wheel? I got the E-Revo, not a converted one so im not sure if it will work with a setup like that, should it?

lincpimp 08.02.2008 12:36 AM

Come on David, we need some pics of this beast...Or are you just making it up? I thought you went back to nitro...?

david lamontagn 08.02.2008 01:17 AM

Nooo more nitro for me:intello: Just my e-revo and my BEAST, a baja SS with a big bore race ported 25.4cc and a DDM tune pipe:yipi:

:lol:wait, wait, wait, i'am a very busy men, so keep waiting, you'll have picture when i'll have time:whip:

BL_RV0 08.02.2008 12:35 PM

You could've taken at least 3 pics with the time it took you to type that message. Then you could've uploaded them while you were doing other "busy" stuff. Then attached the photos or uploaded them to photobucket and cut and pasted them here. I'm sure you have 5 minutes to provide some desperately needed pics, that's still 23:55 you have in your day to do other "busy stuff".

david lamontagn 08.02.2008 01:19 PM

Hey BL_RVO, you're like my wife and try to plan my day:lol::lol::lol:

david lamontagn 08.03.2008 08:42 PM

Go the 5B. I spent the weekend playing with mine. The missus didn't care when my 5B turned up cause it only cost $20 :yipi:. They are great fun to drive and go for ever on a tank of fuel but are hopeless over jumps. That is where the e-revo would come into it's own.

e-mike 08.03.2008 09:56 PM

Nice video. I didn't mean that they couldn't jump, by hopeless I just meant there is no correcting them. The 1/8th stuff is so easy to correct if is comes off the jump a bit crocked. The jumps we have are no where near that big so they tend to flick the back end up with the baja and forward flips with the baja don't do those rear shock towers any good. That jump looked like a lot of fun and the ground looks soft too which is a good thing.

There is a 4X track not to far away from me with jumps similar but I wouldn't want to rip up their track with the baja. Maybe the brushless savage when the MMM comes back. I have hit those jumps with my old savage 25 with stuffed engine and it just wouldn't clear the lip. The LRP .28 in it now would make it clear them with ease.

brushlessboy16 08.03.2008 11:24 PM

very nice e-revo, how do you like the badlands tires?

This is my favorite tire for what i did with my revo. I play on concret, asphalt, dirt, all type of terrain and they do the job very well.

I've a set of proline mulcher too, and realy like the mulcher to run on harder pack.

I've a set of badland on the way for my baja SS too:wink:
