ah nice build, my e-revo will be faster

Takedown 07.27.2008 10:39 PM

I cant beleive he took the raze over it. But you know its AD... Anyways good luck on the build.

brushlessboy16 07.27.2008 10:40 PM

stop hating on duratrax ryan, raze was a great car

Takedown 07.27.2008 10:44 PM

If I was hating duratrax I would hate the warhead and I dont hate the warhead. The raze is old and from what I constantly hear from you it has some serious issues with a brushless combo installed.

brushlessboy16 07.27.2008 10:47 PM

the diffs that a refused to shim initally? yep, that explains it

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 12:21 PM

Few questions guys,

1. are Feigao 540c's pressed can?

2. Where can i get some Rc-Monster Stickers?

trev3813 07.28.2008 12:27 PM

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...od=rcmstickers There ya go!

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 12:32 PM

thats going to force me to buy more from mike, lol shipping costs more then the stickers

bruce750i 07.28.2008 12:35 PM

540C finned has threaded end bell with a set screw.

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 12:39 PM

yay! so i dont have to wrestle with it to change bearings :D

If you e-mail Mike, he can ship in a padded envelope for about $1 he told me.

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 12:43 PM

that makes it a whole lot easier :D

BL_RV0 07.28.2008 12:45 PM

Yeah, I had the same problem whe ordering a bore reducer.

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 12:50 PM

ill probably throw new bearings in the motor just to be safe

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 12:55 PM

DO i need any special mrk III, spec 2.5x bearing only found in guatemala or will any 5x11x5 work?

BL_RV0 07.28.2008 12:56 PM

Good plan.
EDIT: Not sure about the bearing type. Others know more than I do, but I know that KD has a Feigao high speed bearing set, good for 80k rpm for $20.

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 03:57 PM

My new R123f 75mhz receiver just came in :D

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 10:36 PM

Just ordered:

4 Badlands MT Tires
4 Chrome Tmaxx wheels
14t mod1 pinion
18t mod1 pinion
CC BEC
60 Soldering Iron
Assorted Heatshrink
Warhead Race steering kit
Thin CA glue

Will standard duct tape work well to strap tires?

hemiblas 07.28.2008 11:18 PM

Isnt 44mph a bit agressive for a mamba max and 8xl on a heavy warhead? I was thinking closer to 35mph may be something thats more dooable. Nice build though. I like the warhead too.

brushlessboy16 07.28.2008 11:20 PM

i was thinking that but its completely gutted and an e-savage trasmission is mounted in the frame rails, should be relatively light

BL_RV0 07.29.2008 12:46 AM

:sarcastic:

Truck came in today, was relatively sound... seller forgot to mention that he ran it throught the desert then drove it right into the box..
Dogbone pins were almost non existant
Spur gear was chipped
shocks are leaking
...ugh spur was also a 49t, so geared for 40 now :D

BL_maxx 07.29.2008 01:08 PM

oooh that sucks but a little bit of part huntin and that warhead will be good as new.

brushlessboy16 07.29.2008 01:37 PM

yah
i can live with the shocks
the dirt is gone now after an hour with a tooth brush

and the spur will work i think..

Takedown 07.29.2008 07:05 PM

Post pics/video when finished. I want to see my old baby run.

brushlessboy16 07.29.2008 08:22 PM

psht, how do i yank thes dogbone pins?

brushlessboy16 07.29.2008 09:49 PM

the fact that it balances up like that should be a sign to you of what's to come :D

8xlC is on the way gearing for 35-40
should be a good deal :D

trev3813 07.29.2008 09:52 PM

brushlessboy16 07.29.2008 09:55 PM

brushlessboy16 07.30.2008 12:43 PM

I have a CC BEC on the way, what should i set my LVC on the MM to run at?
did anyone notice this on Castles FAQ page

"25. Is my CC BEC edible?

Please refrain from tasting the yummy goodness of the CC BEC. Castle Creations is not responsible for any cases of upset stomach, indigestion, or other GI malfunctions as a result of CC BEC consumption. Eating a CC BEC is known to cause cancer in the state of California. "

just noticed that i broke 1,000 posts :D

trev3813 07.30.2008 01:04 PM

are you serious? lol

brushlessboy16 07.30.2008 01:10 PM

look for yourself
http://www.castlecreations.com/suppo...c.html#ccbec25

brushlessboy16 07.30.2008 05:56 PM

Well i was "evaluating" the all plexiglass transmission mount.. and i found out that it wasnt that sturdy at all.. i droped the truck on all fours from 3 feet up with a motor mounted 3 of 4 of the mounting hole just shattered..

so right now its 1x1 1/8th inch aluminum angle ftw

 Why will it cause cancer in CA only? Are our stomachs in CA just not strong enough to handle a CC BEC?
