If the pictures are real, I would say it's some poor, unlucky creature that's been through a very bad sandstorm. As mentioned, it appears to be some kind of dog.

Yes, it is gross. However it is not grotesque. It's just a picture of a (currently) unidentified dead animal. No gore or anything, just a body. I do feel the subtitle BrianG added was necessary to warn the squeemish among us.
