brushed revo??

im really despertate rigth now, i have a craving for electricity! should i just convert my revo into brushed, and when i do find a good deal, i'll install it later? I see a decetn deal for a evx with mild max motors. Course its no 9L but its a stepping stone ot it. Either way ima have to do buy brushed cuz when i get tired fo the Erevo or want to convert something else, i'll stick teh brushed on it and sell on ebay! What you think? Should i turn to the dark side?

Ouch.. that was mean again..

You would be the first with a brushes Revo Ncabz!!!!
That would be unique about it!!

nbcaznmaster 10.18.2005 04:24 PM

actually no. Daf put titans on his revo, he even got pics so it wont be really unique.

Serum 10.18.2005 04:33 PM

Darn... an other theory down the drain..

okay, go ahead.. Build it!

nbcaznmaster 10.18.2005 04:37 PM

hmm, is ti really worth it? for a decetn setup with mild motors it will cost me aroudn 100 bux. exta 100 and i might get used setup.... I DUNNO!! OMG!! IM TIRED OF THESE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS WITH RC ON MY MIND!!! IM GOING CRAZY!!!! NO MORE RC!! I QUIT!!! I HAD ENOUGH!! NO MORE!!! IM GOING BACK TO EATING!! RC IS NOTHING BUT SADNES!!

Dafni 10.18.2005 05:03 PM

Easycool, man. Take a deep breath.

Dude, if you wanna convert a nitro to electric, you can always do the work before you get the actual motor. And, if you can bolt on a brushed setup, in the name of science, even better!

Have you ever had/seen a stock maxx? Well, an EVX'ed Revo is very similar in performance. But I would stay away from this 14V aftermarked brushed motors for the maxx. Stick to Titans.

nbcaznmaster 10.18.2005 05:13 PM

lol, sry, i walked into my room and saw all my rc cars, and i had a high that only drugs can top. Well, hmm, i was thinking what about 540 motors? Would they run on evx or would i have to get super rooster? Maybe 19t reedy quad mags! lol, that woudl rip!!

Nick 10.18.2005 05:27 PM

Quad Mags wouldn't generate enough torque.

nbcaznmaster 10.18.2005 05:32 PM

really? would any other 540 motor generate enough torque? I've had an e-maxx before and teh torque with the titans seems kinda excessive (if there is such a thing).

Nick 10.18.2005 05:50 PM

Not sure, I guess some decent 27t motors should do it.

MetalMan 10.18.2005 07:11 PM

If this were my Revo, I wouldn't waste money on a brushed setup. It is just going to cost extra money, and in the end, you will lose money. Just be patient. You ever know what it's like to not be able to drive for 3 months? I've had to go for periods of time like that just because I was saving up. As it is right now, it's been 2 months since I last drove one of my RCs. Just wait for your Revo(s) to sell, and by then you will have enough for a new BL system.

nbcaznmaster 10.18.2005 07:16 PM

i have plenty of cash to buy bl system, i just wanan buy a used one. I have a limited budget and i gotta squeeze every penny!

squeeforever 10.18.2005 07:26 PM

if you have the money i wouldnt buy a used setup. not to wise being there wont be a warranty on the esc which could end up costing you more.

nbcaznmaster 10.18.2005 07:33 PM

im hoping to buy from trustworthy people like you guys, cuz i know all of u guys take care of ur stuff. Well, i would need at least evx and titans eitehr way. More then ilike, when i wanna move to a diff project, i'll keep the system, but the revo wotn sell much if it aint rtr.

Get some multiplex permax 600's and an evx @ 12 cell's. That will rip slightly better than the titan's. So what's so special about these motor's you ask? They are 8,50 a piece at tower's.

I recommand using a fan on the evx and heatsink's on the motor's if your running on 12 cell's. Don't be fooled by the sticker, it can take it.

Basketti 10.19.2005 01:15 AM

I would just buy a new brushless set up. by the time you get a used one you would have saved up enough money to buy another one.

This one, right? Not that bad for $8.50, how do they hold up on 12 cells?

I'm trying to put a single DeWalt 820 12v motor in my Twin Force, but have had to rework some stuff.....hopefully it'll be worth it and a good hold over until I either sell it or get a BL for it.

I don't know why people put down the titans. In a proper racing setup mine could out run the old Tmaxx (TRX .15) and stay close enough to the new Tmaxx (2.5) and Savages (.21)to kill them in the corner. i'll grant they are not perfect but they are not as bad as people say they are.

Serum 10.19.2005 06:31 AM

They use graphite....

Sneeck 10.19.2005 12:09 PM

I'm no where near putting the titan's down. But for the money, the permax 600's are just as good. They will wear quicker cause you are putting them near their limit's(14 cell's could kill them) but they got more power and speed.

They hold up very well in my stock maxx, could do reverse wheely's(titan's didn't like those).

nbcaznmaster 10.19.2005 02:48 PM

evx still work with them?

MetalMan 10.19.2005 06:19 PM

Yes, although since they are more powerful, they will require more from the EVX, so an added fan will keep the EVX in better condition.
