Well, I've been a little rough on CC in recent times on this forum, and mainly because I paid for something months ago, and have nothing to show for it. Just like everyone else. However, since then, I've changed my mind, and decided that despite my tremendous disappointment, it's a worse situation for them than it is for me. I think. I never posted an apology, so consider it done now.

So, like all of us, I was VERY excited to hear that the MMM's will ship out early this week, and I expected to be driving my truck for the first time this weekend. So I called CC today just to make sure it would ship in time, because if not, I'd pay extra for faster shipping - I couldn't possibly miss this weekend.

But then it happened. They tell me at CC that only a few have been shipped to beta testers ONLY, and they HOPE to ship out NEXT week, as they're making them now! WTF?!?!? Isn't Patrick like the president or something? WTF? When is it shipping? Where is it? Why does he say one thing, and 2 people at castle say something completely different? And why do some on here claim to have received theirs back already?? I just don't get it; but what I DO get is my patience is wearing EXTREMELY thin here. I just want to know when it's coming like all of us do. I understand this whole thing sucks for castle BIG TIME, but WTF?? This week, next week, Christmas, 2010, WHEN? And why lie about it? Who is lying or supplying false information anyway?

I predicted months ago that my whole summer would go by, and I would not be doing any RC driving, and my prediction is, unfortunately, coming true. And I am FULLY aware of the fact that this is a hobby, and these are toys, and we look like idiots playing with remote control cars, that's just it. I spend stupid amount of money on this crap because I WANT to, not because I NEED to, so when I pay for something that I WANT, I WANT it. So let's not bring up that topic here.

Patrick? Shed a little light for us? Or Christy? Or the receptionist? Or ANYONE WITH AN ACCURATE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received an email yesterday that they will be shipping the MMM V2 this week.

mk351e: I feel your pain...... my summer is also over. I just dont have the energy to write what you just did. I understand your pain though..... I have allot of understanding that the situation is really frustrating for both the costumers and the manufacturer, that is why i hope that Pdelcasts prediction that the MMM will ship out this week is becoming a reality..... somehow i doubt it. I think some of the repaired ones will se their waiting costumers but i think that we that has made pre-orders (3 mounths ago) will have to wait atleast one week or two untill we get our email that says that our MMM has been shipped..... When i first read that the MMM will ship out this week i thought: no way.... dont get your hopes up orgfre....

I really hope that i am wrong.....

I'm also waiting for 2. Worse, i was too lazy to send my broken one in so I guess by the time I do, I will be waiting some more. The only consolation is that I live in the tropics - no winter to worry about. Then again, come October, the rain will come with a vengeance.

Lucky for the Aussie boys, summer will arrive just in time to them to test their MMMs.

This thing has been shipping "Next week" for about the last 3 years...it doesn't matter what anyone says. The only thing that matters is what's in your truck/car. Since I don't have one yet, it's still vaporware to me.

There is some light, several folks here have rec'd their v2 MMM's after mailing in their old v1's. I figure they may be shipping new retail units in before the end of August.

2008...that is although given the Castle Fudge Factor that is +/- 2 years.

But if they've all been made already (2000 of them), why won't they ship them ASAP?
I'm guessing the resellers just updated the ETA to 'end of august' because of the unreliable estimates they were previously given.

So if we ordered ours from RCMONSTER in may during the pre-order does anyone know when we will be getting them? Does Castle have to ship to them and then them to us?

That's a good question! I also preordered mine from mike and am wondering if Mike will get his shipment first, or does castle fill all of thier orders first, and then ship out mikes.

I believe it was stated at the first release that Castle will fill their direct orders (and repairs) first. Then it will ship out to merchants (probably based on volume commitments). The thing I am currious about is that Patrick said that there were enough made to fill every outstanding order (including to merchants) and that they would be shipped out this week. Why did Castle customer service say something different?

Well I got impatient because its my day off tomorrow so I just went to the garage and China powered my E-maxx on 6s with some gear I was going to sell.
Works nice except the prop brake makes it do a front flip.

I have a feeling that the split second that retail shipments resume, Castle will post that good news. The lack of any such posting suggests to me that they have not finished making them or getting the boxes or some such thing.

Who needs boxes?? I'll take mine any way I can get it.

I think I have that same controller from china GT35R. So is it holding up ok in the emaxx? I was going to use it in a FE boat build with no water cooling and was wondering how it performs on 6S.

Id agree except DicyT was probably the 1st reported Monster failure (May 9th) and hes sans Monster right now AFAIK. Dont know if he held on to it for a week or 2 before shipping ? I had fried and shipped mine shortly after (May 16th) and they had it Monday May 19th. I am rolling phat as of Aug 4th (77 days)

too many people here are missing my point. I had a defective MMM. Mine died during calibration, so I got ZERO use out of it. It was sent in early, as it died with NO use. I'm not talking about retail shipments or anything other than repairs, because, quite frankly, if I didn't already buy mine, there's NO way in hell I would consider one of these products. I do not care about anyone waiting for one that did not receive a V1. If you didn't get a broken V1, and your're waiting for a V2, do yourself a favor, go buy an MGM; I hear they actually work, and you will receive your order! Yes, they cost much more, but you WILL ACTUALLY GET A PRODUCT!!! If you're gonna wait for a working V1, please email me; I have a bridge for sale you may be interested in at a great price!

I would guess first in first out too. Seems logical, though I doubt that they operate on that level of organization. But my point is: some people here claim they have theirs, or they have an email with a tracking number. Patrick claimed last week that they would start shipping early this week. But Christy and the receptionist both told me yesterday that only like 6 or 7 have shipped to beta testers, and they hope to start shipping next week! Somebody here is full of shit, and it's REALLY starting to get to me!!! I spent A LOT of money, and A LOT of time on this crap, and all I have is a complete high priced conversion with no controller. I also have no idea when the one I bought in APRIL is coming, and all I hear are conflicting guesstimates.

I understand the frustration. I too had a MMM V1 that I got little use out of (3 minutes).
However, I think Patrick has done a good job communicating with us as much as he has. What he last said was true. They DID start shipping by this week, in fact some shipped out last Friday. :rules: While he said that a batch 1000 ran through, he also mentioned that they were set up for soldering...The switches and such still need to be soldered on by hand. I am POSITIVE that they are working as fast as they can. :whip: What reason do they have to jerk anyone around? :neutral:That kind of thinking just doesn't make sense to me. hey mk351e, i'm just wondering why you don't just buy a mgm and ask for a refund from castle. It seems as if that route would be more suitable for you at this point of time. :neutral:

i sent in one of my broken v1 and am still waiting to get it back but everything is ok since my other v1 is still working :yes: but not without a couple mods....i did the following to it:
-liquid nailed my 2 other mamba max's to the bottom and wired the 2MM and MMM in series :yes:
-managed to double the voltage via attaching the mother board from my laptop with bungie cords :tongue:
-added a water cooling system for the 20 fans I have surrounding the whole system :smile:
-replaced all the 14 gauge wires with 1 gauge wires and no longer have any resistance...ANYWHERE.. :yipi:

I now run my 8ight on 20s 10,000mah lipos and it now skids across the water on stock wheels and also achieves 2 hour flight times :lol:

if anyone is interested in how i did all this send me a PM :lol:

currently working on inserting a flux capacitor so that it can travel back in time and save CC all the headaches that v1 is causing them and allow Mk351e
to have a working MMM so that he can enjoy his summer :yipi:

2 hour flight times is really good. but i may need 3. can you mod mine for this? Also i would like mine to be cooled with liquid nitrogen. Then i can only use 10 fans instead of 20.:lol:

I am guessing that there is some kind of problem over at CC. If everything was working as planned i think that they would have shipped out allot more controllers. I dont think Patric would say that they would start shipping early this week and only a few have got their mail..... as i understod it there would be 2000 pcs produced..... and how many has got their mail that the controller is on its way? 10 maybe?

It would be really nice to hear some kind of new update from castle so we can end all of this speculations......

I don't think there is a problem at CC, do you know how much work it is to get thousands of high quality controllers built in this amount of time? I'm sure castle doesn't have 500 employees building these things either. This is skilled work that takes time, it just makes me mad that the original design was flawed, which is what the real problem is.

I have to go back to school in only a couple of weeks...I have been waiting all summer, in fact, since May, to purchase one of these. I worked 2 jobs so far this summer to come up with some money to reserve for this controller. I wanted to pre-order one from mike, but I didn't have the cash.
Now that I do have the cash, I am soooo ready, far past ready to stick one of these controllers into my MBX5T. Now as it looks i'm going to be going back to school with empty hands without running my truck, by all means, it sucks..., but theres nothing you can do.

What i'm trying to say is that there are alot of other people who are getting the worse end of this than the people who have been waiting and already paid for their controller.
That being said, I think we all need to chill out.

thanks for all the responses, though patrick is the only one I want to hear from. to touch a few questions though; I would very much like to get a refund and just buy an mgm; I went to do that last night, except they're on vacation until 8/15!! So CC has until 8/15 to at least get me a shipping email.

I DID contact them, and THAT'S why I'm so pissed - unlike the rest of us here who seem to have an infinite amount of patience, I for one am tired of delivery dates that come and go ALL THE TIME! Also, to those of you who think CC makes thousands of controllers and is SUCH a large company, guess again friends. They may be big in RC, and for what they do, but let's face it, RC ain't exactly "the thing to do", nor are brushless conversions of nitro RC vehicles. Anybody who thinks this is a popular hobby, and that any rc company is really big needs to get out a little more. And as for the "in this amount of time" comment; this product has been rumored about for 3 years now! THAT'S not enough time?

And if that other guy can build a flux capacitor to stop this fiasco from happening, THANK YOU! Then my 3 year old son and I really WILL enjoy this summer!

I was the first to report a failure, but I will be the last to get it back :cry: . I was originally told to not send mine in and to return it in the packaging my replacement came in. After the 45 day mark I called back and was instructed to send it in. So I have a feeling that this puts me at the end of the list.

based on what I've seen, and going on my gut feeling, there is no list, and if there was, it wouldn't matter. Too bad mgm is on vacation, and the exchange rate hurts.

Well so far in America hes the only one who has stepped up to mass produce a controller like this with great software for our "toys". Other will follow with ease once he has carved the path and taken the beating... smokin the rightous herb of patience and understanding.

nah, I bought an MM, soldered an ubec to it, added a fan and dropped my revo to 4s and have been driving ;) when the MMM finally comes I will put it back in the revo and find some new project for a then spare MM :lol:

I did the same thing for my buggy. I wonder how many MM's were bought by people who bought the MMM & could not go without running while they waited on their repairs.

I bought 3 Mambas and 3 CC becs, I didnt own a Mamba max before my Monster failed. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...t=mamba&page=6 It worked so well on 4s with a 1Y I bought 2 more for a 9xl and a 1.5d. Im going to try and plug 5s into one when I get my 2nd MMM off back order and have one to spare LOL

why not quit your rant and stfu...if you can afford a controler that cost $365 why all the bitching about the $150...just think of it as money in the bank....you waited this long...a little longer is not going to hurt a high roller like you....buy a $2 towel and dry up those tears.....and guess what?...MGM dont have that great a reputation anyway.......so go ahead and spend the $365 for something that could give as much or more trouble in the long run

You may not think MGM's reputation is that great but there are two things in their favour, you'll actually get something for your money and won't have waited 4+ months for it and their customer service is 1st class. I got flamed for posting on the CC support forum for being a new member with an attitude but I've simply reached the point of giving up waiting on the V.2's arrival here in the U.K. and ordered the MGM.
I can't understand why so many people on this forum are so patient, if people here were messed around as much as this they would have voted with their dollars/feet and taken their custom elsewhere and the company woud probably be bankrupt by now.
I just hope your patience isn't misplaced and it lives up to your expectations .
