i love those beadlocks:oh:

lets see what you got

magman 08.18.2008 06:41 PM

Love the bead locks!!! Well done...

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 06:43 PM

thank you, someone give me more ideas to make :D

magman 08.18.2008 06:47 PM

Any possibility in making bead locks for 1/8 buggy? If someone could, they would sell like hot cakes.

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 06:48 PM

i have no means to make them, but i can design them :D

magman 08.18.2008 07:19 PM

Maybe your ideas will inspire someone to make some! Can you imagine the demand for 1/8 buggy beadlocks....

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 07:30 PM

true.... ill get to work then :D, dish wheels or a design?

jnev 08.18.2008 07:52 PM

I know cadima here on the forums does some amazing work in CAD. He designed a whole CRT if I remember correctly, as well as a whole center differential. You should try designing a slipperential... a differential with a slipper built in. I am sure Mike has a patent on it since he is the one who originally designed/makes it, so no one else can make it, but I am sure it would be fun to design a similar version.

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 08:08 PM

i was thinking about that

brushlessboy16 08.18.2008 08:09 PM

i need a pic of a diff cup though

Either....but, be creative!!!!!

Arct1k 08.18.2008 08:32 PM

Motor mount please for a Hyper ST and X1CR but with the Motor down the centre line over the rear drive shaft with custom top plate...

Takedown 08.18.2008 08:46 PM

Someones got alot of time on their hands.

Another A1 idea from Arct1k. If you could make the top plate integrated that would be awesome.

brushlessboy16 08.19.2008 12:07 PM

need some pics and dimensions

tc3_racer_001 08.20.2008 07:00 AM

i got the same program courtesy of school :)

i find it really difficult to make something im visualising. easy when im working off something solid so i can understand.

my deam is to redraw my entire car and make an animation of it being built, screws and all, twisting etc. i recon that would be freaky and sick at the same time :)

brushlessboy16 08.20.2008 10:19 AM

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...rdiffmount.jpg

starting to get there...

I posted jpgs of Autocad LT dwgs of the very thing u refer to for the X1CR about 1 year + ago (could b nearly 2 years) but I cannot find anyone to make them.

Basically, it involves moving the center diff forward, tuck the batteries in saddle pack configuration closer to the center & motor at the center above the batteries. A top deck is put in to compensate for the torque rods that will not be there. At the time, I was dreaming of running 8S 4000mah using a BK3095. Unfortunately, still dreaming...

Joe Ling

mike you better be watching in case you need a designer, "will work for lipos" :D
let me know what you think guys

JThiessen 08.20.2008 07:05 PM

Keep in mind cutter radii. If you look at your part, the "eye drops" I'll call them (the two lightening holes on either side of the larger hole at the bottom of the part) will be very tough to machine. Otherwise it looks buildable

brushlessboy16 08.20.2008 07:18 PM

we have a mini cnc router that used a 2mm bit- all the radii are 1.5 or more, should be fine

what guys no commentary?:na:

BL_RV0 08.20.2008 10:20 PM

You forgot holes and a top plate... But...

brushlessboy16 08.20.2008 10:20 PM

i dont have a hyper st so i wouldnt know hole spacing

suicideneil 08.20.2008 10:31 PM

Wing it  You dont need exact dimensions just for a rough design- think of it as sketching some ideas on piece of paper, only its on a computer instead. Exact dimesions can be corrected later on when you know them better. Looks kinda similar to the center diff unit mike made for the flm chassis:

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10233

Same concept really.

brushlessboy16 08.20.2008 10:57 PM

very nice

Takedown 08.21.2008 05:46 PM

Decided to take a shot at the CAD program myself. Got a few tips from ben and from a few vids. Here is a rough draft of my brushless motor I made...

Man...if I had access to a program like what you have...wahoo! The possibilities would be endless.

brushlessboy16 08.21.2008 09:11 PM

no they wouldnt, once someone offers there cnc machine to use-then it would be endless

True, True

magman 08.21.2008 09:15 PM

What does a cnc machine cost anyway...I hate to ask

brushlessboy16 08.21.2008 09:16 PM

no idea.... more then i cann afford-im 16 :D

magman 08.21.2008 09:17 PM

More than most people can I afford probably..

brushlessboy16 08.21.2008 10:10 PM

update, revised front CD mount-now with more Beef
http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...dammitwork.jpg

Arct1k 08.21.2008 10:44 PM

Looking good...

Drop the brake holes and it should be ok... Still think you need more screw depth for the diff plate and bottom screws...

How is the rear mount coming
