9920 back in stock?

I heard the 9920 are back in stock soon. Outta curioustiy, waht is the resell value of these esc? most rc stuff on ebay get about 50-70% back... Would i lose much money if i buy new and try to resell? MOre then likely, i'll get an itching for more power! lol. Dunno if i should buy. I dont accept free money *cough (daf, serum). But i will accept b-day presents! lol. It would be a hard hit to my rc fund. lets see, 200 for esc, 80 for motor, 20 for clamp. 50 for tranny. 100 for decent charger , 100 bux for decent batts, 50 bux for other small stuff (connecter, wires, etc). thats about 600 bux!!!! Hmmm, lipos woudl drain my fund even more.....

Should i buy the esc? by buying the esc, it'll mean i gotta buy a buncha other stuff so i can get into electric.. METALMAN!! how do u do it!?!??!

Any1 quitting rc here? or is willing to sell me all of their electric stuff at a decent price? lol

Serum 10.24.2005 05:20 PM

crap.. that's his 337th post about the 9920.. Don't you love 'm.... !!

What birthday present did you had in mind Nbcabnzm?

That esc won't drop very much, it depends on the buyer though..

I thought you needed better grades first though? :p

Papa 10.24.2005 05:43 PM

WHAT? You don't even have one yet and you are aleady thinking of selling it? I dunno 'bout you sometimes.:C: :L:

coolhandcountry 10.24.2005 05:45 PM

If you want more power than the 9920 going to handle. It is really going to hurt your budget. the 9920 will do more than my 1897 schulze. If you want more power get the 90 dollar motor instead of 80. what is $10?

Serum 10.24.2005 05:51 PM

10 dollars makes the grand total 610 dollars..

Nick 10.24.2005 06:04 PM

Serum, please use your anti-tyre ballooning trick on his mouth.

coolhandcountry 10.24.2005 06:07 PM

What you think serum? If in doubt get the big motor. You can not squeeze the trigger better than squeezing the controller into pieces. :L: I guess you got me on the $610. :D

Use the anti tire balloning on his mouth. :L::L::L::L::L::L:

Saving up :p. Got my first system in November of last year after saving up for a couple of months. Damaged the Warrior 9918, sent it in for service. Got my second system in January or February (after I saved money from Christmas). Got my first Lipo (loose cells) in January, but I bargained the price down on that (because of the quantity of cells). Got 2nd Lipo pack in March, but I got about $50 off for several discounts. MGM Compro got damaged in ~March-April. Got the 9918 after about 4 months in April. Got some more loose Lipo cells in May (after birthday). Damaged Warrior 9918 in July. Went without RC for a month, when I sent my 9918 to Mike to see if he could repair it, and I borrowed a controller. Sent that controller back after a couple weeks, and have been without one for about 2 months. MGM isn't responding to my emails, and Mike is going to try fixing my 9918. I ordered some new batteries for $144 (Lithium Iron Phosphate), waiting for them in the mail. Will be buying a 3s 4200mah 15C Lipo pack soon for ~$95 shipped (these deals are great!). Ain't this stuff great?

BTW, I did have a job over the summer, but I got about $45/week from that, and my mom made me put in half of my earnings. I also get $23 a week for chores + $5 lunch money.

That's how I do it.

nbcaznmaster 10.24.2005 07:08 PM

Ur so lucky, you with yrou CHORE MONEY! i dont get paid for chorse, i get paid if i dont do it, with a spanking!

Nick 10.24.2005 07:19 PM

The 9920 is a hot item. Put the order in now and you get the dibs on it. Then you don't beg for a used one.

coolhandcountry 10.24.2005 09:11 PM

Make it the new "cool" thing to do, and start a trend.

The rest of us get our BL stuff by earning money one way or another, saving it, and then purchasing when the time is right. I got a 9920 out of this most recent batch by working overtime for the last few weekends at my Six Flags job. Granted I was bringing in at least $200 with each check, but I still wanted to wait until I could take the hit and not be hurt as much. Mike conveniently got the 9920 in stock after I'd had a few big paychecks, and jumped on one. Truth is, money takes work, but then you can get what you want.

nbcaznmaster 10.25.2005 06:34 AM

GOOD THING IS! ima turn 16 soon adn maybe with soem begging, my mom will let me get a job! I'll probabbly get supsned from rc, cuz with my job and rc, theres no time for schooL! lol, actually i should leave for school right now or i'll miss the bus...nvm! Who cares! lol

Finally got my Brushless, after 2 months of waiting. Mmm 7XL. :L:

Serum 10.25.2005 12:20 PM

LOL anti ballooning treatment on ncbabzn mouth...

I've got a clear visual..

It involved 4 rolls of tape and a poor azian guy.. :p

7XL Nick!? may the force be with you...

Nick 10.25.2005 01:12 PM

Sure did Serum, will get pictures up of my Truck when it is fitted (when it arrives). Don't be fooled, mine is a beast. :D

Serum 10.25.2005 03:26 PM

Yeah, share those pics!!

Have you seen coolhands 9XL vid on 12 cells? pretty fast allready if you ask me! It's in his topic about the ext e-maxx

Dafni 10.25.2005 03:57 PM

Yeah, welcome to the club, Nick! How many cells do you plan to run through this 7XL?
(Isn't it nice to tease this boy.....:) Anti ballooning ....LOL )

Nick 10.25.2005 03:58 PM

Whats the 9XL on 12 cells like in comparision to the 7XL with Xcells?

nbcaznmaster 10.25.2005 04:09 PM

lol, 9xl will DEFINATELY need more cells then just 12. 7xl would be better choice for 7xl

Serum 10.25.2005 04:12 PM

I think cbznamstr didn't see Coolhands movies.....

Nick 10.25.2005 04:17 PM

Obviously...

So whats the difference with 7XL to 9XL? Does the 9XL draw less power but can take more voltage?

nbcaznmaster 10.25.2005 04:27 PM

well, i think i remember seeing it....Well, on the item description, it recomends more cells then just 12.

Serum 10.25.2005 04:40 PM

@nick, right about that theory..

@ncabz, he posted the movie yesterday or today.. in his ext e-maxx thread. check it out and be amazed!

coolhandcountry 10.25.2005 07:52 PM

Bad thing is the batteries was run the day before. I let set over night and ran again. The batteries was far from fresh and definitely not charged up.
The 7xl and 9xl both do good. It really comes down to the run time you want. I still want to try my 9xl on more cells. I don't have the esc capible of doing it at the moment. Don't worry I Have a 7xl on the way to. I post a video of 7xl on same truck. I can give you comparsion of run time and power.
