What will power this cathedral?

TexasSP 08.27.2008 01:30 PM

Please get some good ones around the tranny and also the drivetrain. Looks sweet man!

Serum 08.27.2008 01:34 PM

good ones around the tranny and drivetrain.. it may sound a bit weird..

Takedown 08.27.2008 01:51 PM

Will do Texas and Serum. I just started it up and let it idle. Its decently loud but not super loud like I expected. I have to pick up a new antenna for my 3pm today and have to pick up a receiver pack. The worst case sernario is that I run tommoro.:whip:

By the way here's Pedebeaters 27cc 1/5 Grizzly. This is what my competition is on thursday. Wish me luck because his is insane quick and can wheelie.

Right now its powered by a 30cc engine. Im having 2nd thoughts about converting right after I started it up.:mdr:

suicideneil 08.27.2008 05:05 PM

Run it till the engine conks out, then convert it- by then BL options should have improved a bit more for large scale vehicles.

Thats a good idea neil. These engines are suppose to have a life of 100-150 full tanks so it should be awhile.

olds97_lss 08.27.2008 08:58 PM

Yeah... don't they last around 45 minutes per tank? That's 112 hours or 4.6 days of straight running... I don't think you will be worrying about brushless for that bad boy until next year!

Theirs always someone who excels in math.

Just drove the 1/5 and man its just as I expected. Adrenalin rush to drive and has plenty of low end power. I was only doing 1/2 throttle and it was hitting anywere between 16-22mph. Hopefully this engine has some good top end aswell. I also just ordered a brand new TGN blue X-Can pipe with 6in stingers. Should be here in a week or so.

It actually looks like he screwed up the math. You should be able to get through it in 7.3 days. ;) Assuming you sleep 8 hours a day.

maxair45 08.31.2008 11:10 PM

PM sent takedown

Takedown 08.31.2008 11:39 PM

Thanks guys. Heres an update. The truck took one helluva beating this weekend and today and a friends party. Its holding up strangely well. Ive onely screwed up one thing and that was a shock strut on the front left. Its bent and needs to be replaced but thats about it. Pedebeaters truck took one helluva beating aswell but he stripped yet another servo and stripped a top gear in his driveline. "maxair45", PM has been sent.
