Dont post pics of it again until you get that infernal nitro engine off it, have some respect for our eyes  Tell us your plans for the build.

Thanks guys i will post up a parts list as i get closer to my final decisions but i will give you a few thoughts..... Neu 1521 - mgm TMM 25035-3 250-300amp - Flightpower evo25 5000 mah - Custom Cow designed 8mm maybe thicker 2mm weave carbon fiber chassis and top brace.... I am also consider replaceing the supports at each end with t6-CF units :intello: We will se where she takes me a few things are sure.... She will be a statement in to much power is just right, low slung, and built for pavement! My biggest parking lot terror yet! Thanks for all the interest and i look foward to asking a million questions  Heath |
Sounds good. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.
|
Do you guys feel there is any should do-precautionary type mods needed for durability when going very high powered Bl? Diff cases? bulk heads? I am also curious if you guys are happy with the stock shocks as far as leaking etc? I dont mind th eplastic as long as they work well
Thanks for any input  Heath |

I always chuckle when people ask questions like - do you think I can run my MM with a 5700 on 2 or 3S in and LST2 and not have any heat problems? I'll be watching this one - lots of Muggy conversions going on the past few months - I've seen it at the LHS and it's a heck of truggy - much more appropriate for a BL conversion than the LST2. |
My muggy just got a lipo upgrade. Its on 6cells 5000 tp extreme v2. Temps are warm to hot. Waiting on my eagletree.
Just use some heavy diff fluid in center diff.(i have diff locker stuff) Everything else seems to be good. |
THE MUGGY CHOP
I dont plan on using the factory body so i had some fun in my free time this morning :mdr: Looks ok i guess.... but needs to have the phaltlines and blasts on there to look right. plus i need to get the wing mounted lower and a little further back.... and i will be lowering the veh at least an inch :intello: This is the look i will be going for but i will be utilizing a crowd pleazer body chopped and dropped in the same fashion  I may strip the paint out of this one and redo it as the factory paint just doesnt do it for me.... way to busy and distracting IMO http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...Picture127.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...Picture129.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...Picture128.jpg Heath |
I will be going for the same look as my smaller scales.... heres a few pics of my 18 for reference

Actually it is a T but is is set up for some serious pavement pounding.... Is a true 50+ mph 1/18 :intello:You can check out the build thread here>>> http://forums.thetoyz.com/index.php?showtopic=6924 Heath |
Hello my friends...
I am going to be building my own chassis for this project.... Any reason I shouldnt center the diff when i do so? The supports will be history as i will be using a top and bottom plate design  and will attach in the center to the diff support as well  I cant seem to think of any reason it wouldn't be better but wanted to get some more opinions! Thanks Ohhh And the wheels on the 18 are Jaco prism 1/10 My favorite :mdr: Heath |
if you get rid of those supports I dont see why not, except the battery side is kind of nice offset for a little more room
also a guy said, the original lst (skinnier) axels are the same as the centers on the muggy and lst2 (but longer) if you wanted to extend it but use same stuff and cheap |
Quote:
Thanks for the tip! good info I may use.... just noticed you said skinier.... May not work this will be a very high power app.... how much skinier? thanks :) Heath |
the drive axels on the lst are the same dia. as the center shafts on the lst2. The lst2 has thicker drive shafts, so does the muggy ( at least mine it was changed a bit as I bought it used so cant say for sure). The axels off the lst will work as a center shaft for the muggy/ lst2, its the same Dia. as stock, not skinnier, same as. just longer, obviously same length as stock axels ( not known offhand) So it should hold the brushless just aswell as stock, provided it doesnt hit some centrifugal weakening point Briang can calculate (dont hit me)

That truck look sick sitting there
Is that a shot glass in the back? |
Bi_polar - Black and white ;)
|
Cool. You should put the white wheels in front and black in back.
|
THey are just thrown on there ;) There will be a custom black cowprint on white body.... Super heavy black spots in the front fenders and hood with barely any in the rear...The blacks will be in front and the white in the rear.... Will be different but similiarily chopped body too so I did them on the sides just cause it would look ugly with this body ;)
Glad you guys like her! :) Heath |
Dude, cool. It will look rather beasty if you can keep the final body shell that low or close to that low.

The chopped look is certainly something new for it, IMO it looks pretty good. |
