I'll tell everyone something for nothing- they wont fit the Gorillamaxx shock towers without a bit of trimming (I'll post pics later). Very nice quality though, got mine today (from an ebay seller who bought them from sweetride4me).

Good info to know... Thanks Neil

As promised:

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...axx/brace2.jpg

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...axx/brace3.jpg

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...axx/brace4.jpg

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...axx/brace5.jpg

All I had to do really was reduce the thickness of the tower-brace part by about 50%, since the Gorillamaxx towers are a fair bit thicker where they mount to the bulkheads. Very simple to do with a hacksaw and file, so no reason not to buy these if you're worried they wont fit a particular shocktower.

RCShocker 10.01.2008 07:30 PM

I'm very happy with mine. Install was a breeze. I am running the GA 7075 Bulkheads. Up for sweetride4me, Thanks Chris

mkrusedc 03.31.2009 05:27 PM

If you are not on the UE forum you can email the maker direct at:

sweetride4me@yahoo.com

He has 14 people signed up for preorder and needs about 14 more to make the run.

RCShocker 03.31.2009 06:42 PM

So if everyone signed up just order's 2 sets............

Yall are good to go. :great:

But seriously, they really are a nice design that strengthens and ties everything together well.

jayjay283 03.31.2009 08:24 PM

Something people im sure want to know is the weight... well I didnt weigh them HAH, but I can tell you they are light, the 1st edition Sweetride offered is so light, I made my wife hold them after opening the package when they arrived. It was "wow I expected them to be heavy" I was so friggin satisfied with what was made/I purchased (true story). Good stuff

sweetride4me 03.31.2009 08:40 PM

Thanks for the positive info fellas. I'm really on the fence as to sink another $1k plus into this..... let me ponder it a bit more, I will say my machinist is itching to play again

Been dying for a set of these ever since I first saw them on Chris's rig . . . so that said I'm in for two full sets if and when you do these again.

Go to the UE forums and see if anyone has them.

Skratch 07.20.2009 05:02 PM

I love how people assume that a low post count means that you don't get around or know anything. I've already been to UE, BYT, several other forums and ebay and all that is out there at the moment is a single front . . . and as I stated above I want two full sets if and when he produces these again. :sarcastic:

Perfectly valid suggestion if you ask me. Anyway, it doesn't seem like theres enough interest to do another run soon. You may be able to pickup a couple of sets if you start a 'wtb' thread. I would say a half a dozen sets have been listed for sale over the past few months. I'm sure a few of them didn't sell. Good luck in your search.

I'm sure Mkrusedc simply didn't want to seem negitive as the project is very sadly dead, and if you truly kept up at UE you would know that. CLICK HERE If you could round up about 15 more people to buy 1 complete set each then maybe you could rekindle the fire.

Lighten up dude:whip: I was trying to be helpful. The guy that makes those frequents the UE forum more than this one and you have a better chance there then here.

I love how you assumed that I knew what your post count meant :sarcastic:

...if you are not angry now, I would hate to have seen you before:gasp:

He was here before albeit with a different username. He still got the same crappy attitude especially when he's asking for help.

Kahlis 07.23.2009 09:46 AM

I'M DOWN! Like mentioned B4, I wanted these the first time I saw them. How much for a set and where do I sign up????? :)

Click the link I posted in post #25 above. You will have to sign up at the UE forum first.

Kahlis 07.23.2009 03:01 PM

I tried logging onto the UE forum, but my password keeps coming back as invalid. I requested an email w/ my user name and password, copy and pasted, and it still tells me it’s wrong.

An email to Robin Oury(owner) to activate is just about always required.

Kahlis 07.23.2009 03:41 PM

Do you have an email address for Robin?

sweetride4me 07.23.2009 07:20 PM

For all those with any interest this project is not completly dead... my machinist and I are talking about a SMALL run again.... what will work for him and I price wise... i'm not making much, if anything, off these fellas... only doing it because I like the hobby and like to make something people want and like...

Kahlis 07.24.2009 09:25 AM

Well I am very much interested. Once I get my UE account activated, I'll definitely put my order in.

Sorry Mark, sometimes I just jump without thinking . . . especially if I bring stress from work home with me.
I didn't mean to be a jerk, I just come across that way too often.

Actually, no I've never been on this forum before . . . I've been around the RC community for some 12 years, just out of it for a few here lately.

No problem. Thanks for the apology and welcome to the form.

sweetride4me 01.13.2010 07:59 AM

OK not completly dead this time we have priced out the aluminum again and are 90% sure a run of 30 sets will happen. PM me or email me at sweetride4me@yahoo.com if interested so I can keep a tally, please only PM or email if you are 100% sure ...
