RC-Monster welcomes Flextek

We recently picked up the Flextek product line. So far, the brief conversations and dealings with them have been nothing short of excellent. They supplied my initial order fast, and communicate quickly as well. It is my pleasure to offer these fine titanium products! Look for the suspensions listed in the store soon!
Maxx, Revo and Savage suspensions are currently in stock!

Serum 11.15.2005 02:42 PM

If you had asked me when you were looking at them, I would have gladly picked them up for you, John. I had another customer ask for them, so I established an account and got a couple setups in stock.
If you are looking for something that isn't on the site, by all means ask! I am always looking for cutting edge products, especially with companies like flextek that stand behind ther products and seem to have excellent communication sklills.
Besides, the titanium suspension is pretty awesome. I may put the Revo arms on my g2R.

crazyjr 11.15.2005 11:58 PM

Get the alumnium titanium plated and that would be cool

Dafni 11.16.2005 06:32 AM

Flextek has some price-suggestions on their site, rhyl. Don't know what Mike will provide, though.

Batfish 11.16.2005 10:17 AM

Flextek products, along with about 50 other products, will be in the RC-Monster.com store before this weekend.
Once the items are in there will be a new announcement on the forums regarding the additions.

Serum 11.16.2005 12:55 PM

Look at Johny!

he is using the stock spur!!!!! (and a great looking maxx as well)

@rhylsader, i have seen one broken flextec arm. it was replaced by flextek without any problems
Looking for new arms for the savage Rhyl!? :p those are rated at 300 dollar a set of 8.. (guess what crossed my mind...)

nbcaznmaster 11.16.2005 05:24 PM

I never even saw that post! No idea how I missed it, either. It must not have shown up on the "new posts" list or something. Ah, well, I have them now, so now you know. Sorry I missed the post. I would have gladly picked up flextek a while ago.

Yes, can you believe that Serum?! Stock slipper with dual BL?
And by the way, it was I that broke the FlexTec arm.

P.S.
No worys Mike, just as long as I am #1 on your list to notify for the 9920's when the come in. Need one of those and a heatsink as well.

rhylsadar 11.17.2005 03:40 AM

@serum
not sure yet but those arms look very nice and are sure very light. but the new FLM extended arms look nice too.

@ jhonnymaxxima
whats the weight of your maxx?

rhylsadar

Serum 11.17.2005 03:51 AM

Yeah, the part that concerns about the ext. FLM arms are the upperarms. i don't know if you have seen those long thin pins..?
I guess it's only a matter of time before they launch the ext. uppers as well.. :p

RC-Monster Mike 11.18.2005 12:29 AM

I actually spoke with FLM today about the ext. arms/upper arm concern. He will work it out.

rhylsadar, it weighs about 14.5 lbs. RTR. When I go LiPo it should loose around 2 lbs. though.

Serum 11.18.2005 04:24 AM

Great Mike! you foresaw the same problems?

It was question in my mind so I thought I better address the concern!

captain harlock 11.20.2005 09:21 AM

Bless you guys. I hope to see some FLM parts for my T4 soon enough. Jamie is looking for one at humble price to study it and make parts for it, so if there is someone who would like to sell his T4 to him, then please contact him. In the future- if God wills so- I'll convert my T4 into a Monster T4( though it needs lots of money). Probably it will be one of those-rear to see- 2WD M. Trucks.

bazz 11.20.2005 10:31 AM

hi guys a mate of mine ordered those flextek arms for me, they get here soon . cant wait, hey johnnymaxxima is there any chance of getting some more pics emailed of the emaxx. it looks awesome. HOW FAST DOES THAT THING GO.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 11.20.2005 01:41 PM

You got a Pm.:)

Serum 11.20.2005 01:45 PM

Don't be afraid to share them Johny!!

maximum 12.18.2005 02:17 PM

well, like homer simpson would say.....mmmm.......titanium.:C:

dda01015 07.03.2006 01:41 AM

Are there any tolerance issues with Flex-Tek arms in FLM bulkheads? Ti doesn't shave like plastic or file like aluminum.

squeeforever 07.03.2006 10:31 AM

There shouldn't be. JohnnyMaxxima runs them with his FLM Combo bulks.

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 07.08.2006 04:43 AM

Yes they fit nicely, until you hit a curb at 45mph, then the pins are a pain in the arse to get out!

Serum 07.08.2006 07:20 AM

Arh, well..

titanium arms are not meant to absorb the impacts of your 25 lbs heavy maxx Johny..

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 07.09.2006 04:42 AM

Hey, it's 23lbs. now Serum. Did you forget, I went LiPo.

Serum 07.09.2006 07:05 AM

LOL..!

What is the difference in weight? Did you weighted it?

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 07.11.2006 05:11 AM

Yes I sure did. 12lbs 14.2oz. vs. 14lbs. 10.7oz on old setup.
Drove it the other day for the first time on new setup then blew the front(?!) diff. Thought the rear would go out first. May have to make a switch to the Hybrids with the 1/8 gears.

coolhandcountry 07.11.2006 04:16 PM

So what was your impression so far?
Does it seem faster and more powerful than before?
Does it seem worth the problem of converting it?

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 07.12.2006 12:14 AM

Can't tell yet. Litteraly drove it for about 3 minutes before the diff went out. I'd say I never got it above 35mph. Fix diff then get back to you on that one.
