Love the body & rims!
|
Thanks
|
Looks great! Definitely the best looking slash I have seen. Couple more blue accents to go with the servo and ESC and it will be perfect in my opinion.
|
Wow!! love it!. I'll try to post some pics of mines this week. How your shock setup work???
For me i've kept the stock shock, with 45 oil on the rear and 55 on the front. Traxxxas red TMaxx spring for the rear and stock rear slash spring for the front. I've install a custom sway bar (Hyper 7 one) on the front. My wheel/tires combo is Traxxas nitro rustler wheel with proline badlans tire. I've the RCM/FLM diff case with a Neu 1512 1.5d on 3s thunder power 5000mAh pack. I've put the traxxas red aloy bellcrank with all red aloy turnbuckle. Wich rod end have you put on the rear revo shock??? |
Slash is nice but the Mustang is better!
|
shocks work nice a bit stiffer than stock i might have to drill out the shock piston holes a bit other than that it works good, yea the mustang scoots also a ticket dispenser.... 90 in a 55 5 pts later :[ frownie face rod ends on shocks were turnbuckle ends with rubber inside the hone there really strong.
|
That looks great! Makes me want to get a Slash :mdr:
|
thats sweet man, my new Hardcorr body should be here anyday, i was honestly planning on ALMOST the exact same paint scheme, except blue and white instead of your black and yellow, with a little extra design over the hood aswell......as our series rules go we can only use the stock shocks with aluminum caps, we also have to use the stock tires and wheels but i really like yours and i really like that black chassis, which body is that?
again two thumbs up from me, looks awesome |
Its the desert rat almost the same as the hardcore with more detail like mirrors side scoops and more detail in the hood reign.
|
500k diff fluid? I thought the slash had the same non-sealed planetary gear diff as the rustler?
|
it does but you can open it up, 500k is so think i don't come out.

I'll try oil too in mine to the place of the grease, for a beter diff action:wink: |
thicker oil will diff less diff action.. I think thats the point of it
I like my diff how it is, good to know that if I ever start racing my rustler on road for some reason. |
the tyre and rim combo look great
the paint job look nice maybe a bit of black on the the front end any how you'll always know which car yours is  |
Two very nice looking toys.
What run time do you get on the Slash? |
I love the tire rims, by any chance anyone know a 14mm or 17mm version of this?
Hope to see some vids.... |
hello.
do you have any issue connecting the jr radio on the vxl? on mine the motor is running backwards.... is braking from reverse to foward.... regards |
LOL - Just swap any two of the three motor wires... Hey presto it will go forwards...

Cool GTR shock are really smooth, much better than default shock if your run on a bumpy track
|
very nice makes me want one
|
run times are like an hr in most cases i never hit the lvc yet, as for 17mm or 14mm wheels in this design i don't believe so, however they do make some in different designs, No Problems With Jr Radio, unfortunately it has less range than the stock one which pisses me off and it glitches when i punch it when its pretty far away, i was gonna try the novak glitch buster but i don't think it will do anything, maybe some one will chime in on this one.

Hi can you point on the right direction where to find those 14/17mm design. I plan to put it on my slayer. EDITED: I was suppose to send you a PM but submitted the thread by mistake...sorry to hijack |

Secondly pull off those revo rear shocks and get some 8ight-t rear shocks (stock setup) they blow away the revo shocks for the rear and basically drop on as well no mods other than a slight spacer at the top to keep it from rubbing (takes .001 seconds). http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...h/IMG_4303.jpg |

I've always think that a front set of truggy shock are need to put on the rear of a slash:neutral: But i think you have a bandit, right?? And the bandit rear stock shocks are shorter than slash one. |
You can use either of the 8ight shocks on the rear actually, but the front will slightly limit your range of motion on the slash's arms (any of the traxxas for that metter). The rear 8ight-t shocks will allow full range, which you want. Those revo shocks SEVERLY limit the range even when modded when on the rear.. but again are perfect on the front.
PS mine is a Rustler w/ the wide conversion on the front as well. |
OK thank you! The probleme is to find a set of rear 8eight-T shock for cheap:whistle:
