Project “X” Build 002 “The battle EVO”

I’ve got my next project LOL..

I'm thinking this would look killer mounted on my GorillaMaxx E-Revo

So stay tuned as I transform my prize build pro into a (Grenade launching) BAD ASS.. and with a range of 30’ that just doesn’t get any better..

Dimension : 7 3/4" Tall, 20" Long, 7.5lb
Range : 30 ft
Velocity : 300 fps

Grenade Cartridges:

The M48 Thunder Grenade has 5 bores that shoot from 1 to 50 6mm paintball pellets in one shot.

The M203 Thunder Grenade can shoot up to 10 .43 caliber paintballs all at once. Oversized .43 caliber paintball can be used to cap off the bore to increase shot capacity to 25 rounds.

The M68 Thunder Grenade is the loudest, the most powerful, and the most versatile of all of our grenades. The M68 can be used with 6mm, .43 caliber, and .68 caliber paintballs, and smoke simulation powder. The M68 has a yawning, hollow cavity that can hold 100 6mm paintballs, in conjunction with smoke powder to add a realistic scent. The bore can be capped off with a .68 caliber ball to keep the 6mm balls and powder in place.
Grenade Ammunition:

Grenade Ammunition:

6mm paintball pellets are best used with M48 and M68 grenade shells.

.43 caliber paintballs are best used with M203 grenade shells. They are also available in an oversized version use to increase M203 shell loading capacity.

.68 caliber paintballs can only be used with M68 grenade shells.

Nerf Rockets can be launched over 50 feet from our grenade launchers. The Nerf Rocket can be loaded in the bore of the Phantom, M203 and RIS M203 grenade launchers. The Nerf Rocket is propelled by discharging the M68 Grenade Shell. The rockets can then take out tanks and buildings in Milsim scenario paintball!

Scented Smoke Simulation Powder works with all grenade launchers to add a true battle field scent, and dramatic puff of "smoke". you just have to love this hobby!..

P.S.S.
As always I;m looking forward to hearing and seeing your comments on how I can top my "Battle Truck" build..

t-maxxracer32 10.07.2008 02:58 AM

did you ever get a video of your 001 project?

it is going to be crazy if you find a way to mount that beast of a gun in your revo

TDC57 10.07.2008 03:14 AM

Hay Ryan...
NO.. :no:I'm waiting for my smoke to come in before I make a video.. Trust me you will know when it done..

Thanks for asking and sharing your tremendous knowledge with me.. again you've been a huge help through my first Project X and I'm hoping / expecting the same on this one too.. Sorry but I need to top my last build.. :intello:

Have a great week Sir..

Shaun.

t-maxxracer32 10.07.2008 03:33 AM

it will definetly be hard to top but if your up to it then im sure you will get it done.

considering your first thoughts on this are grenade launcher then i cant imagine everything else it will have!

this time pm me before you make any paintball related purchases:party::party:

just curious... did death race inspire you to build these trucks? seems that it came out around the same time you started your build:lol:

TDC57 10.07.2008 03:46 AM

Well since this bad boy is too big to mount in the body that leaves room for (drum roll please) a butane torch out the rear..:yipi::yipi: You know a nice flame shooting out about 4-5’

I would also like to figure out how to drop percussion / timed bombs behind me as I go (obstacles for others) nothing too big, just enough to blow off a tire and some a-Arms.. If I could find something that goes "bang" about 8 seconds after it leaves the build that would be perfect.. :intello:

Any ideas ??

OOOoo I will PM you before I head down the road to know where..:lol:

Thanks Sir..

t-maxxracer32 10.07.2008 05:00 AM

i was going to mention a flame thrower but i figured it may be a little dangerous. haha

mini c4 would be tough i would think... youd have to figure a way to light the fuse and at the same time let it go out of the truck...

some bottle rockets may do the truck. finding a way to light it would be easy. the problem would be how to get the bomb outside the truck... well bottle rockets fly off the little stick so that may work.

now i realize that it would not make a huge explosion it still may be cool.

actually now that i think about it what would happen if you somehow attached a bomb to a rocket (get a small rocket that would just shoot the bomb outside the truck)
twist the fuses together so when you light the rocket it will also light the bomb... rocket shoots out of the truck then BOOM! whatever is behind you is gone.
maybe?

im tired as hell so who knows if any of this makes sence.

time for some sleep.

TDC57 10.07.2008 05:34 AM

OMG it’s a $1,000 dollars for the complete setup :oh::oops:

http://www.rap4.com/paintball/os/m20...ge-p-1337.html

Although a 160 paint balls being released in les than six seconds is quite appealing.. :yipi:

I'll need to sell some toys to fund this one..

Or I could get this and install this in my 808 bugy..

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...4_40MM_GL2.jpg

What does the team think… do you want to see my build the EVO or a battle buggy..

Thanks for your time and have a great one

Shaun

P.S.
Wide open to any and all suggestions...

George16 10.07.2008 05:48 AM

Hey Shaun, where are you going to play with those "armed" trucks?

ffactory666 10.07.2008 07:15 AM

Man you are out of control , i love it

Tell you what it will definitely match the paint job on your body .

BL_RV0 10.07.2008 09:58 AM

I think battle GEVO is better. You're insane to be doin' this man! I love it!

TDC57 10.09.2008 12:38 PM

Can I get this moved to our new Project "X" forum.. :yipi::party:

t-maxxracer32 10.09.2008 12:42 PM

your too proud:party::party:

what type of servo you think will be able to pull the trigger of the grenade launchers?

i know that it will be a hell of alot stiffer than the other gun you got.

TDC57 10.09.2008 12:49 PM

Well my JR servo has 400 oz of torque so I figured that would do just fine..

rite??

What I'm really concerned about is when the guns fires,:oh: what kind of kick (how strong) it will be ??? will is be soo strong it will flip the build . I’ve gone to several paintball stores to try to test fire one, but no one has them… got any thoughts Ryan??.

t-maxxracer32 10.09.2008 12:59 PM

400oz of torque should be ok...

from the video i sent you it looks like it does not have enough kick to harm anything on your truck nor make it flip.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdnPExToCIo

also the guy way the gun sounds makes it seem like the trigger pull will not be too stiff..

then again... knowing its a grenade launcher im sure they make it somewhat tough.

bruce750i 10.09.2008 03:27 PM

You can disassemble and file the trigger sear down and or alter the springs if paint ball guns use these things. Then it might accidentally fire going over bumps and jumps.

is it a mechanical switch? or electrical?

Im pretty sure you can get PWM switched that plug directly into the RX, elimiating the servo and saving weight

ya paintball guns do have these but i am not sure how the grenade launcher is designed. it could be some type of pully system, but if it does have springs or anything like that you can change the trigger pull dramatically!

guess you will just have to wait on that one...

TDC57 10.10.2008 11:59 AM

I was also looking at tasers yesterday.. do think 20,000 volts is enough to immobilize another build LOL.LOL

http://www.taser.com/PRODUCTS/Pages/default.aspx

I'm looking for something I can fire out the rear of the truck as well and i was thinking it would be cool ???

Also I'm not having much luck finding a revolving grenade launcher. I looked at over 3200 ebay adds yesterday and not one G-Launcher..

TDC57 10.10.2008 12:05 PM

Does anyone have any site or build information for a flame thrower ?? I saw one truck shoot flames out but that was well over a year ago.. any thoughts on how i can make this work ??

Thanks Guys..

jayjay283 10.10.2008 12:06 PM

lol 20,000 volt shock on a 7.4v lipo. Friggin video man

TDC57 10.15.2008 01:03 PM

Forward progress is being made..

I got some “goodies” ordered up….. (mad scientist laugh here):yipi:

Rumor has it there might be a second battle build by this weekend. Or at least a dam good start of one.. I would post pictures but they wont show up anyway..

Hoping this no posting picture issue gets fixed / resolved soon..

Thanks for your time everyone

P.S.
Here is link of what it shoots, :oh: :intello:

http://www.rap4.com/paintball/os/m20...de-p-1296.html

Yes that 25 balls per blast and accurate for up to 25’ :gasp: can you imagine the damage this will inflect shooting frozen paint at the others builds. (mad scientist laugh here) LOL.

TDC57 10.24.2008 09:44 PM

So I got home from work today and found the following goodies waiting for me / #002 build.

This is should be a blast. This is what this build will consist of: (at this point)..
(1) SB8 multi mode .68 cal paint gun (17) shoot per second
(1) SB8 (small) grenade launcher that will shoot out 25 .45 paint balls per load.
(1) 19’ sniper “suppression” barrel and stock
(2) Swat force deluxe flashlights
(3) Tactical mount rails
(1) Laser sight (TBD / Still shopping for this one)

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3846.jpg

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3847.jpg

I’ll of course run:
A smoke system
Broad tip blades in the wheel hubs
And some type of ramming spear up front.

I don’t know when, but soon I’ll brake down the gun to it’s simplest form and begin the mounting process. I'm just a little “pre-occupied” with the completing the Battle truck movie.

Thanks for your time guys / team and I’ll post pics of me disabling and mounting the gun & launcher when I get them completed.. But at least all of my major purchases are complete.. (thank GOD!)..

BL_RV0 10.24.2008 09:53 PM

Nice. When will the movie be complete??

magman 10.24.2008 10:04 PM

Sweet!

jordan... 10.24.2008 10:09 PM

That is SO cool, wish you could get stuff like that in the post here

TDC57 10.26.2008 03:20 AM

Thanks Guys..

Jordan, I can always send you a care package if you want.. ???

Here is a short Video of the “BOY” trying out the gun :intello: before I butcher it for the “ GREATER GOOD OF THE BUILD”:lol::lol:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKfiA-cVNLE

FYI: :gasp:
That was 300 round of paint balls he just went through in under a minute @ 30 yards!!!..:na: (good lord!)

George16 10.26.2008 03:33 AM

Shaun, the vid asks for a username and password .

Looking forward to the completion of your project.

TDC57 10.26.2008 04:25 AM

Sorry about that!!!! It’s fixed now.. My BAD…

Thanks George

Have a great one..

Shaun.
