New BL RTR Revo w/ CC monster system and 2.4 ghz

http://www.traxxas.com/products/promo/5608_promo.htm

Finally!

Has the CC monster, 2200 kv motor, and 2.4ghz transmitter. Nice one Traxxas, big score for sure!

skellyo 10.16.2008 10:55 AM

Doh! Now I have to save some pennies dangit.

TexasSP 10.16.2008 10:57 AM

Now we know why Patrick has been so quiet lately.

I think TRX just kicked the crap out of some people with this one.

FullMetalGrave 10.16.2008 11:05 AM

I wonder if they are going to re-release the new version E-maxx with that setup? Kinda sucks since I just bought all kinds of crap to make my E-maxx Brushless

snellemin 10.16.2008 11:07 AM

Finally!!! Swap in the remote locking diffs and I'll be a happy camper.

rootar 10.16.2008 11:09 AM

bout time....... wonder what the price will be?

TexasSP 10.16.2008 11:12 AM

I would guess 600-650?

Would be interesting in a drag race for sure!

Raze ST Truggy 10.16.2008 11:16 AM

That is one sweet RTR package. I'll have to save some cash for when that is avalible.

skellyo 10.16.2008 11:16 AM

I would hope right around $600. I think much more than that and Traxxas won't be selling many of them.

Arct1k 10.16.2008 11:27 AM

Interesting I thought CC was tied to HPI... I guess non exclusive - Only downside I see is availability of combo as I'm sure Traxxas will have first call...

Also note that it is a V2 in photo's. still...

jnev 10.16.2008 11:32 AM

Well its about time. And I am guessing the system will be available separately soon as well.

kulangflow 10.16.2008 12:06 PM

I'm really interested to see how well the 2.4G performs. I like the little mount they have for the MMM too. It looks more solid than what I'm currently using.

skellyo 10.16.2008 12:08 PM

Based on Patrick's latest comments, he expects the first shipment of motors mid-November. I'd guess around Thanksgiving would be the soonest they'd be shipping combos out.

Dagger Thrasher 10.16.2008 12:12 PM

Oh my...that looks sweet! I know a few people who've jsut bought standard E-Revo's who'll be a bit annoyed at this lol. Very, VERY nice collaboration there! I want one already lol.

Traxxas need their butts kicking, though; they're calling the the ESC the Mamba Max, not Mamba Monster as it should be (at least, on the second page of the promo bit). That's gonna cause a little confusion among the less brushless-literate...

But still...WOW. What a package.

rhylsadar 10.16.2008 12:19 PM

imo the summit is much more of interest!

my first wild guess bout the buying probability of this car is....mmmm  approximately 100%!

BrianG 10.16.2008 12:36 PM

I wonder if the receiver will be usable with a Spektrum tx?

JaySki 10.16.2008 12:40 PM

i think the price will be likely north of $600.
Figure the e-revo goes for around 425ish now...
CC 2200 Combos are MSRP of $350...
Add in the 2.4gHz Radio upgrade.. I'd guess it'll be 650-700.. IMO

portyansky 10.16.2008 12:49 PM

650-700 sounds resonable. And all I can say is that I knew it!!

ajb1205 10.16.2008 01:27 PM

I just hope that CC has all the bugs worked out on the MMM. One nice thing, you will have 2 great companys to deal with customer service wise.

BTallack 10.16.2008 02:03 PM

It figures that they'd do this the day after I installed a MMM/Neu motor in my E-Revo.

I was wondering what the heck you were talking about 'cause it intially looked like it was just sticky taped to the chassis. But now I see traxxas must have designed up that over the fan post system. I'll have to look into making myself one of those.

Have to ask Patrick if thats a Traxxas part or one of theirs.

Arct1k 10.16.2008 02:35 PM

http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...z-receiver.jpg

Interesting designed out of the box for dual steering servo's - lots of points to mount fans now Brain.

TexasSP 10.16.2008 02:46 PM

I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of those on flebay soon.

suicideneil 10.16.2008 05:25 PM

I wouldnt mind the esc mount myself- better than an ugly ziptie and velcro. $650-700 sounds about right too, though I wouldnt sell the Gmaxx to get one...

BlackedOutREVO 10.16.2008 05:32 PM

I dont think it will be 6-700 bucks

Probably more so around 500. They wouldnt sell any if its more IMO...

Ryu James 10.16.2008 05:34 PM

that revo is awesome. the Losi 8E is $879 so i bet that e-revo will be pushing that. its like new technology. when new stuff comes out it is really high priced and then as more and more companies release other forms of the new technology the price starts to go down. Losi and Traxxas will be able to ask high bids cuz they are the only ones offering 1/8 scale RTR brushless beasts out of the box. as more companies jump on board we will see more affordable stuff.

Duster_360 10.16.2008 05:44 PM

What timing! I was literally deciding on who to buy an E-Revo from and then see this! Guess I'll be waiting a bit.

Thats gotta be futaba 2.4 system too - I hope this gave them the chance to get the rx chip redesigned so it won't overheat. Way cool!!

Umm, the Erevo on its own cost about $400 depending on where you look, and the MMM combo is going to be about $300, so....:rules:

True, but that $400 also includes the cost of the Traxxas esc and motor.

im so getting that!

i could see the brushless revo being over $600. traxxas didnt have any problems selling out on platinum revos so im sure it the brushless revos cost 700 they would still sell easly

Yup. Exactly what I mean. Take away that cost. The new radio might cost more to make, but you still get rid of the old cost of stuff

So I dont think its going to be much worse....:mdr:

suicideneil 10.16.2008 06:20 PM

You hope, lol.

Given the evx2 and titans are only about $10 (pile of shite electronics) to make, I would be amased if the price came in at under $600. Are we taking bets- I say $649.99 when its actually for sale, - currently preorder prices are at $900+.... :gasp:

BlackedOutREVO 10.16.2008 06:24 PM

You can sell them on ebay for 100-120 bucks

So I know there worth more then 10 bucks. It will be under 600. Traxxas is about to make the most expensive RTR on the planet. Especially being its not something like 5th scale

I know the MMM speedo dealer cost is 140 or so depending on what dealer. All the parts going into it are alot cheaper as the rtr bundle then separate.

George16 10.16.2008 06:57 PM

I wonder how the upcoming release of the brushless E-revo affect the production of the MMM V3. If CC can hardly keep up with the problems and production of the V3's, I won't be surprised if we have to wait longer.

I just hope it doesn't mean longer waiting time for the MMM.

mambarustler 10.16.2008 07:21 PM

OMG I just got the e-revo looks like i might be upgrading to MMM/2200kv sooner than i think, So sick i dont even know what to say :surprised:

Erevocanuck 10.16.2008 07:42 PM

I`m liken the MMM mount :intello:

The guys at Traxxas is bight, because if Traxxas has been call the ESC "monster Max" their sale would be drop a good 60% because all brushless guys in the world know that MMM is dump.
But, they've name it Mamba max, like that, Traxxas is sure to easily raise their sale:lol:

Silver_Flame101 10.16.2008 08:01 PM

Traxxas nailed it on the head this time. They gave it the ESC and motor that everyone is putting in there E-revos, and they get a 2.4 system that everyone dreamed about too. If the 2.4 ghz system and the castle components check out good, then it is definitely on the list of things to buy (Or things I wish I could buy).

Me three. I've already asked my LHS to get me one as soon as they become available.
