talk to anyone about the new REEDY 5000 35c lipos???? i want to know what cells they are using since they are claiming 175 amp continous and 225 amp burst from their 5000 pack.................this would definetly be sufficent for any amp hoggin 4s setup.

With ratings like that I can only guess that they will be using maxamps cells. I am eagerly awaiting the new maxamps packs that have 100c discharge rates, 10v per cell nominal voltage and dimiensions similar to small receiver... Those will definately make 1/5 scale and larger conversions easier to do.

rootar 10.17.2008 05:24 PM

i would only hope that reedy would not be that stupid.....i use to use their brushed motors a LONG time ago when started racing.

gixxer 10.17.2008 07:53 PM

I am waiting on the new reedy pack too. I dont know what cells it has but I have there 20c one now and that one is great.

rootar 10.17.2008 08:02 PM

with that kind of discharge rate they would HAVE to be soemwhat intened for use in something like the e-revo or caster buggy, something BIG....

gixxer 10.17.2008 08:28 PM

Dont forget touring cars. They draw crazy amps on carpet with there 3.5,4.5 motors.

BlackedOutREVO 10.17.2008 10:00 PM

Yes they do! A 3.5 is around 11,000KV! LOL. and they go down to a 2.5! Scary!

Pro, need more mini revo pics! If you have more, and hi res, shoot me a pm please!

whoa!:surprised: that BL e-revo has a ton of hop-ups. are those included in the brushless edition or is it just an e-revo brushless platinum edition

Silver_Flame101 10.18.2008 01:31 AM

The brushless edition wouldn't come like that; Traxxas gave it the platinum treatment with the swaybars, red rods, wheels & hex adapters from what I can see in the picture.

jayjay283 10.18.2008 02:00 AM

When was the Pomona or long beach icx this/last year, nothing becaame of it, anything traxxas announces, (sorry Pat) Castle or anyone ever comes out for 12 months. Just a joke of what sy thought of and never produce, Beautiful waste of money and brain cells ( free chivaz), Ill challenege to see any cool stuff be produced by xmas

1. Castle V3 Monster, (non euro burn)
2. RC Monster, Slipperential
3. Traxxas, Anything with a new part
4. Losi, anything not gay
5. Kyosho, shocks for under $800 that dont need spacers

BTW THIS WAS YOUR LAST YEARS LIST

I think losi needs to take the xxx cr buggy and put a small stadium truck body on it. Then they can create the much needed 11th scale stadium truck class. Make it a ready to run with a brushless setup too. At 600 bucks they will fly off the shelf.

Plus a 2wd lst based truck would be cool, call it the "Mega Donut". Make it single speed with no reverse, good for 30mph top speed.

Also they need to put a coaxial blade cx style setup n the mlst, making it a true do-anything vehicle. They will have to re-engineer the drive system for the blades to be as weak as the mlst diffs though...

A carpet only version of the xxx-t would be cool. And a dual .05 motor xxx-nt would be a hot seller too.

jayjay283 10.18.2008 03:09 AM

#5 stick with it Ofna, Cheap fast furious and fall apart but offer F'in fun doing it.

yup. i was one of the first to see it at the off-road expo in pomona. its just the buggy with a roll cage and different body and tires. but it looks really sweet. i also saw the teamassociated SC8. i was not very impressed but i hope it handles better than the slayer. and it has the best look roll cage ever!

BlackedOutREVO 10.19.2008 04:06 PM

metal case R1 Pro's?

I want to see that!

glassdoctor 10.19.2008 04:58 PM

Yes, and I think that is my new favorite r/c thing out there... it simply looks AWESOME!!!!

But I still probably won't get one because of the cost and too many projects already for me. :whip:

This thing is impressive in person... seems TWICE as big as the buggy...
