9l in crt .5?
anybody run one before.....I want to run just 3s or 2s in this truck...using a mm no bec?
stock spur and I want maybe 40-50 mph |
There are a few who have run that and like it. Stays relatively cool considering it's a Feigao. But, if you run 3s you should still use a BEC IMO...

I will use a bec than .......what pinion would you suggest and its mod1 correct? |
Pinion depends on speed you want really. And yes, it's mod1...
|
well I tried to use the calculater but it didnt have a choice for a crt .5 spur
and I dont know how many teeth are on a stock crt .5....I know I know go count the teeth.....to lazy right now:angel: |
crt.5 spur, is the same as 1/8 buggy standard spur, 46t.
And if you want my 1509, 2.5d/s (2700Kv), i can sell it................ |

oh yes I offered you a trade....but I just sent a pm for price the 9l is about the same kv and a heck of a lot cheaper but I know the neu is much better quality i ran the calc with 46 spur and I cant hardly get it below 65mph....lol....you would need like a 10t |
65mph? What settings did you enter?

lol....I see what I was doing wrong....i was entering 1/1 for diff's
btw there was no stock spur at 46t...you sure its not 48t? Quote:
|
The stock spur on mine is definitely 46t...
|
The stock tires diameter on the crt.5 is not 4.0, but 3.5:smile:
|
The spur is 46 yes
The 9L runs pretty nice. Has good power, runs pretty darn cool also. But if you can swing that Neu, DO IT! And 4 in is std 2.2 truck dia, so 3.5 is buggy. Depends on what he is running |

:lol:i'am crazy, i know it, but i like to have more than not enough:angel:
|
I already posted on your thread but a 1509 will keep the front wheels off the ground running 2.2 gladiators. 1512 should be a bit snappy!
|
The 9L on 3s is a great motor in a CRT.5, especially with an 18t pinion and 2.2 truck tires. My MM and motor never exceeded 150 deg. F in that truck, despite the 45mph top speed. Can you say power!
|
i ran a 9L (thanks BrianG for the suggestion) in my crt.5 with 30 series proline bowties and 14/46 , ran @ 135* and had plenty of power
3s to bad i sold it , it is a very fun truck |

those 30's look awesome.....what hex and what mount are they?...would I need adaptors?
|
If i,am right, the crt.5 stock hex is 12mm, same as Traxxas rustler, and i suppose that entjoles have use the proline nitro rustler rear wheel at four corner:wink:
No i just take a close look at the pics and entjoles use the proline traxxas adapter for nitro rustler and universal wabash 30 serie proline wheel...... THis one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMUG0&P=7 But entjoles correct me if i am wrong, but you need two set of this adaptor because you need 4 rear one and the kit comes with 2 front and 2 rear, right? And this wheel: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMUF7&P=7 |

I will put exactly this setup on my crt.5. But i don,t have the RCM extended one, but i,ve the new crt.5 pro with the extended chassis, but i think that this chassis is shorter than the RCM one. Hope that this 30 serie wheel will not look too bad on it:whistle:
|
I just put a set of these on mine they look awesome....took them off a rustler i have and never ran them
