Speed Pede Project...

Well my pede hasn't had much attention lately so I gave it a bit of a make over...

I think the motor (CC 1515 1Y 2200) is overkill but needed to run it in something - I can't get a MMM in there though as the motor wires aren't long enough so opted for a trusty MM.

I inverted the RPM bumper and added some lead to help keep the front end down. I think I may have to lose the wing but will see what happens... I checked and it looks like a revo 2.5 body that I have will fit pretty well if I lose the wing...

Any other suggestions?

That has got to be the coolest pede I've ever seen.

You should opt for a rustler chassis in favour of the pede one.

Have plenty of spare parts on hand! 80 MPH crashes are not pretty!

DRIFT_BUGGY 11.02.2008 12:13 AM

Sweet Pede, what motor mount is that?

MetalMan 11.02.2008 12:20 AM

That's the FLM tranny case.

Looks great! I like the wing on there.

DRIFT_BUGGY 11.02.2008 12:52 AM

Does it work with a Bandit to?

I can't see why it wouldn't work with the bandit. If the rear end of it is the same as a rustler and Stampede, it will work just fine.

Arct1k 11.02.2008 10:06 AM

The wing in from an OFNA LX - just shorten the centre posts a little.

The motor is a Castle Creations 1515 1Y

TheRandom1 11.02.2008 11:17 AM

That makes me almost wish I hadn't gotten rid of my Pede a few months ago...

trev3813 11.02.2008 12:52 PM

Nice PEDE :mdr:

lincpimp 11.02.2008 02:53 PM

Chassis looks interesting, is it the thunder tech chassis? I have a g10 chassis that looks alot like it, with the bell crank steering, from thunder tech.

Arct1k 11.02.2008 03:52 PM

I think it is an Xtreme Racing chassis... I ran on 4S and clocked an easy 55... However I broke the diff internals so need to order some more... :(

I really need to find somewhere flat and a radar gun - The GPS really needs a lot of space to get an accurate reading...

PS the shock setup is sweet though...

Takedown 11.02.2008 04:10 PM

Nice pede. Now that you posted a pic of your CC 1515, Ben can aswell...

Arct1k 11.02.2008 04:25 PM

I thought he had already which is why I posted mine...

Nice PEDE tho!!! I'd really love to see a video of that thing run!!!!

Arct1k 11.02.2008 10:56 PM

I've already done this...insane power for the platform.

http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...y/DSCN1515.jpg
24/38 fit just fine and it had more than enough power, I could go to a 34T spur and whatever the biggest pinion is and still have power left. I wasn't able to get my Rustler completely set up for speed before this thing stripped a stub axle (twisted the U-joint right off). It's very heavy, but it goes like stink!

BL_RV0 11.03.2008 12:12 AM

Whoa.

A RC Dude 11.04.2008 05:43 PM

JEEZ!!! That'll deff fly now

asheck 11.04.2008 05:54 PM

Done this , been here :) only I was running a Novak 4.5. I only managed right over 70,then it was just to uncontrollable on foams. It would start drifting and correcting would make it go haywire. I did not run lead up front,I added a little wing to the bumper. It had no trouble keeping the front down. But it was very unstable. Good luck with this,I always thought it had 80 in it.For the diff you could try this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...%3D4%26ps%3D42 then use Jato shafts and your about as strong as it gets.

The scary thing is that I can add 2 more A123 cells in the Rustler:diablo:.

A RC Dude 11.05.2008 09:16 PM

SHEW!! DANG!! I just thought about it and what if you took the tranny out and hooked an outrunner motor up directly to some really strong driveshafts and fitted bigger, more stable tires on it.

And that's what the e-maxx driveshafts, custom limo chassie and body, lead weight, and tires from the future are for! to help controle the explosion lol

it's a 1/5 scale F1 car front wing

What's_nitro? 11.08.2008 11:17 PM

That thing is huge. How are you gonna mount it?

Does your truck run on AA batteries?
