9000mAh 4s setup for E-revo?
Found these Elite lipos on Rclipos dot com, seems like a possible run time getter, though they do seem too good to be true as i've never seen 4s packs of this capacity at this size.
14.8V 4500mAh (4 cells) 30C/50C Rating: 30C (135.0A) continuous, 50C (225.0A) burst Dimension: 152mm x 44mm x 30mm Weight: 500 grams Termination: Wire leads |
they are heavy enough to be that capacity. ive questioned the size before and never got an answer back.
but yea those and the new breushless edition revo would be PERFECT. |
yeah, thats pretty much my setup so thats why i was interested, I have also heard several people say that the Elites work even better than Enerland based packs...If it would work then it looks to be about the largest capacity 4s setup for the E-revo.
|
yea theyd HAVE to be better than the MA 8000 packs.
what kind of runtime are you getting on your 5000 hardcase packs? |
ide say in the neighborhood of 20-25 min depending on what im doing, ive never really took a stopwatch to it or anything but that would be my guess, i really like the packs, tons of power, though i wouldn't mind trying a 5s setup for some ridiculous power:)

thats what i kinda figured, but then again the new batteries listed on here aren't enerland cells, yet Mike says that they outperform everything that he has tested.
|
Enerland cells get warm when pushed too. Every battery does. I think we will see more China factories surpassing or at least meeting enerland on a quality and performance level.

Ive seen several very impressive chinese cells as of late. |
yes i have to, as i use all but 1 enerland based, im just saying that elites are not of those quality

yes thats 6s, im running 4s

I have seen some impressive Elite discharge graphs lately, better than stuff enerland has right now.
|
also a 8800maH setup
two of these in parellel |
Ok first off, I think Elites are awesome.. have some.. 2nd those are HEAVY packs listed up there the MA 8k's are 365grams vs 500 each (730g vs 1000g) for an extra 1000mAH or 5minuts of run time?? Bashing ok.. good deal; but racing though the MA 8k's make the truck handle bad enough, let alone another 270 grams! I wouldn't suggest that much weight unless you don't do any jumping.. you're just asking for breakage, sorry. my2c I've actually gotton to the point where I only run 2s 5k hard packs.. if I were you I would go for the new 2s 6k hard packs at most. Lots of makers have them out now in 30c and 35c varients.

I seen the 4500s a while back and posted it up on the rcuniverse but no one seemed to care????? I thought it was great that we can fit 9000mah 4s lipo in the e-revo. I bet they will peform better than some of those 8000 packs out there
|
Truerc makes the 5000 mah 14.8V in a 160x50x27. You can get 10000mah out of this setup. I bought one and am going to buy another for when I get my ERevo. This is the most capacity you can get in an E-Revo right now.
|
Whats the C rateing of the true rc 5000s? I will have to check it out.
The elites are 30C makeing it the most powerfull battery set up. They shouldnt get hot or have a voltage drop issue even with the most demanding set up in the e-revo |
even with low c ratings the larger capacity packs (maxamps 8000's etc.) seem to handle the draw of a powerfull brushless system, so 10,000mAH should be ok i would think.

The 5000mah packs are 10C which isnt much but the 5000s hold voltage much better than their 4000s. I think they claim to peak at 113A. 2 of these in parallel will give 100A continuous which is 20C and really more than enough for most setups. I was running just one of these packs in 4S in an MT and didnt have any trouble. At 92 bucks each they are a deal though. You are going to see much better punch with the elites, I imagine, but this is the best setup for runtime I have found.

Thanks ! and thats a great price too
