Daytona675 11.19.2008 05:50 PM

I think a lot of us could do that if money was no object and that's all you had to do. Must be nice.

DRIFT_BUGGY 11.19.2008 06:51 PM

Sweet find

I highly doubt that. Rally racing is one of the hardest forms of racing. Remember, that was just practice/showing off, that wasn't him trying his hardest to beat the clock. In a real rally race, he's just as good, which is more amazing.

BL_RV0 11.19.2008 07:56 PM

That was intense, to say the least.

You guys should've met me in Brasil when I used to race my Turbo Charged 125CC kart. Fun times for sure.

Doubt away, but its true. And rally racing is pretty forgiving in the world of racing. That and there is no real rallies in north America. They are starting but far behind in the competitive rallies. If every part or car I crashed got replaced and I did it for 8+ years I would hope to be able to do this.

It takes some skill to drift 50+ mph on the edge of a cliff in gravel and dirt. Ken Block is naturally talented. However, I don't doubt you could have skill racing, but I don't think it could match his with "Full time practice" is all.

^+1 He is a very good driver and I wish I was able to have access to he training facilities. DC did him right. He has worked hard to get where he is.

His display has left me speechless...... It is truly a form of art to be able to swing the car around as if it were child's play.

This reminds me of my favorite car video of all time. This is a race between a Toyota Supra and Cosworth Ford Escort rally car. They incounter cops a few times and run over 200mph at the end of the vid.

48 cameras, 24 days, 317 takes and a race prepped car, I could do that too. It definately is skill, but I started drifting my bike/gokart/lawnmower since I was like 11. Now I drift wheelchairs(gotta love minnesota winters) and r/c cars. Cool vid, but you can see the tracks from previous takes, he still did it though, and from where I'm sitting I can't do that, so it was cool to watch, thanks for sharing. i be quiet now:neutral::neutral:

jayjay283 11.21.2008 10:38 PM

both sick vids ! I agree he surely drove that several times and several cuts for the run, had to when he went around the back of that 1 shed nose inches away knowing there was no dumpster behind it. Sick stuff though
