Ds 8711 steering servo!!!! A bit overkill for a buggy, huh?!!?! Hows about I trade you for a more suitable servo...

At least I know it will not go too far without a "care" package from the pimp...

Or 20 suitable servos!

chip cross 11.22.2008 10:42 AM

I started to put a JR 9100s but I got the 8711 for 117.00 shipped, so I went with 8711.

BL_RV0 11.22.2008 12:17 PM

Did you find it on ebay?

chip cross 11.22.2008 12:48 PM

Carolinasr/c.com, the servo is like 129.99 once you put in your shopping cart and I had 10% off code

chip cross 11.23.2008 01:54 AM

I removed all the nitro junk tonight and started the build up, just a few shots of the chassis, motor, and motor mount.

Update !!!
The front of the truck would be towards your left in this picture. The "notch" on the far side will be for the spur gear armor.

Bottom view. This shows the relief cut for the side skirt mounts and the machining to maintain strength under the battery but still providing structure.

Nice! It's start to look like a big boy truck and not one of those little wimpy mosquito sounding toys the babies play with........

They're half beadlocks, where the outer bead is locked, but the inner bead is glued. The only downfall of this truck IMO.

BL_RV0 12.16.2008 09:58 PM

That makes no sense.

MetalMan 12.17.2008 12:57 AM

Exactly.
