home build speaker, finished with mahony, a sub that can move the world (homemade as well, with some serious thinking behind it.., i made the cone from the woofer heavier, so it's FS would drop and the T/S parameters where better for the enclousure i made) and a sony 777ES, and a 9000ES dvd player. i've got a plasma too. Samsung.. took me 4-6 months to deside which one to take.. and a 105kg heavy tube amplifier is in the make, it can do 100 watts rms at class A, nice in the winter, bad in the summer..

mack 12.01.2005 02:25 PM

DEM!!!!! I thouhgt that I had the bomb

Very nice indeed serum

You don't got a beamer, makes the screen about 200cm?

Serum 12.01.2005 02:30 PM

No, i had a beamer, i sold it though. it was an infocus.. but with the larger plasma, i'm more than happy.. no need for bigger. It didn't fit in the idea i had for the living room either.

mack 12.01.2005 02:36 PM

I also was thinking about building my own sub but the 500 live
is a stage woofer of 500rms cost my two arms and a leg.

I got a beamer thats way I only got a 94cm plasma

Serum 12.01.2005 02:48 PM

I had two subs of 600 litres each, it had a res. freq. of 14hz, they had a efficiency of about 108db@1 watt meter. (at the lowest octaves) they sure sounded very impressive.. they made your skin shake on your body..

here are some pics. The big subs i am talking about aren't on these pictures though..

mack 12.01.2005 02:59 PM

You are some extremely talented man indeed
that looks awsome. RESPECT

Serum 12.01.2005 03:04 PM

talented.. talented.. I just call it patient.. (i am not too patient with some things though..) wait till you seen my kitchen! that's my masterpiece. Took about the most time making, and it turned out the way i wanted.. most time i invested in a project are a set of speaker filters. i have got about 4 months of work in them, they are sooo sweet, but still not finished.. ;) (they are meant for tuning/tweaking speakers with more ease and precission)

mack 12.01.2005 03:17 PM

I just finished my ikea kitchen (almost finished)
It was a pain in the ass, bud the wife would not stop asking
So i had to do it.

Bondonutz 08.13.2009 06:04 PM

I was going to start a thread but I'd thought I better check first, this one is almost 5yrs old ? Anyway

Any kind of fishing I enjoy but OffShore Fishing is a passion. We go Grouper fishing and persue palagic's such as Dolphin,King Mackerel during the cooler months and fish inshore for Snook and Tarpon in Spring. This time of year as well as March the Bonita come through. Bonita is type Tuna but is really in the mackerel family that gets about 30" and are swift, strong willed fish that fight like hell. Great fun on light tackle providing your gear is up to the blistering 100yd runs ?
We went out into the main shipping channels and straight into the gulf and looked for birds and then gun and run to the action, throwing surface and sub surface plugs and spoons will garuantee a good time. We were fishing frenzys of Bonita,Mackeral schools as large as a acre ! The fish were so ingrossed with all the bait the fish were banging into the boat, wish I had pictures or video of that, just to dam busy fishing !
Here's a couple pics of the first two I caught of dozens.

My creation is almost done. It just needs a propane (air) regulator and ball valve in the back to be officially completed, although it works as is.

Not very many people have a stun gun, or use it for that matter. I can say I get some pretty dang good usage out of my stun guns.

Bondonutz 08.13.2009 06:28 PM

ML,
Impressive creation, I certainly hope you'll be posting video when complete ?!

I've got a few crappy vids. They don't justify the power and speed of this thing at all.

Hmmm - rebuilding my house, playing with the grandkids (I have a feeling there's not many of us grandparents on here!). Off roading with the Land Rover, boating, crabbing, basketball (still play in a league), camping (In my 32 foot fifth wheel!), and modding diesel trucks.

Does it look like the Northwestern?????

Well, I didnt understand most of the metric units Dafni had on his homemade stereo stuff, but I've got a decent beginners system, with a 7 channel Def Tech system, an Rel sub in the rear, and a M&K up front (just sounded the best, even compared to subs that ran 5X as much). Powered by Pioneer Elite reciever, an Elite Plasma, and a PS3 for the blue ray player. Havent had much time lately to watch movies, but I know I can when I finally get some time.......damn.......

suicideneil 08.13.2009 09:12 PM

Fish keeping (3ft aquarium)

Used to draw alot and watercolours too, but not very much lately.

Foxracin 08.13.2009 09:35 PM

zeropointbug 08.13.2009 10:25 PM

Trail riding (biking), bodybuilding (although I am where I want to be now, 190lbs <10% BF, 6'0"), avid audiophile, paintball, occasional computer game (CODx, BF2, as well as Forza 2 on xbox), gardening, active electric vehicle conversion enthusiast, tinkering with stuff such as Tesla coils, large rare earth magnets, and like someone else said, anything with a motor on it!

Oh man, I've a few one of those magnets. It's a 130lb holding strength, 3/4" thick, 1.5" diameter. It's a beast. I also use two smaller 60lbs holding strength magnets to hold the propane tank onto the spud gun.:yipi:

I also have two small spherical magnets. It's fun rolling one up to the other on a hard surface and watching them spin. and spin. and spin.

And are you done with your EV yet? Made any progress?
