Thanks bustitup ...It's a JCCONCEPTS X1 body that i had already for the nitro set up when it was a X1, but i was surprised how well it fit the X2...I have another new JcConcepts body that i'm gonna use without all the cutouts for the nitro stuff till i can find the new Proline Switch x2 body, they look sweet...Awesome vid by the way, thanks for posting that

thanks guys for the replies....
....Driftbuggy ...yes ,i'm not really sure where or how i'm going to mount the ESC switch

t-maxxracer32 11.26.2008 06:45 PM

do you need to have it? cut off the wires and solder them together.?

big greg 11.26.2008 07:05 PM

thats what i did on both my mm's alot easier to deal with imo as i never use the switches

CRTIM 11.26.2008 09:02 PM

well ,thats really what i'd like to do but wasn't sure if there was any reasons why i should not cut it off...
so by not having a switch ,disconnecting the battery will be all that needs to be done??...would i need the on/off switch for programming of the ESC ever??....thanks for all the help

t-maxxracer32 11.27.2008 12:06 AM

without a switch you just plug and go. no worries about the switch accidentally turning off or anything. its just simpler like that. im not sure what the on/off programming is but i know others have done it with the MMMs so im sure youll be fine.

Can anyone give a list of what parts are needed to convert an X1 to an X2, or point me in the right direction?

superek4 05.01.2009 08:32 PM

did it not cost almost as u buy a x2? I assumed u bought d gears n d chassis n big bore shocks? I was thinking of switching but not buying parts coz my LHS said it's too expensive to buy parts then d kit

CRTIM 05.03.2009 02:36 AM

Thanks again guys...I bought all the parts needed to convert to an x2 on ebay for about $180.00.....that was the chassis, small gear conversion center diff, fr/rr gearing(ring & pinions),driveshafts, chassis braces, big bore shocks...i think that was all that was needed for the conversion ,plus that price included fr/rr upper and lower a arms(which were an updated plastic compared to the x1 and rear wing(these arent needed for the x2 conversion,oh yeah, another 40 for the proline lpr wheels and tires...so all in all it was still cheaper to convert to x2 than to buy the x2 kit

superek4 05.03.2009 03:16 AM

that's a good deal:) I will keep a lookout at eBay
