Hakan_J 11.28.2008 08:32 AM

They say "Superior Customer Service" on their web page.... superior to what? :)

Dagger Thrasher 11.28.2008 08:58 AM

If they're under new management as it says on the site, then they probably need a little while to get things running smoothly...though the service you received before this is obviously shocking. Hopefully these new guys will sort you out...

q8-maxx 11.28.2008 09:30 AM

Hello you just walk to your bank they will bring your money back if he take more than 45 days without sending your parts.

I did that with 2coolrc and my bank told me if he did not send you the parts in 45 days we will bring your money back in 3 days :) do I got my money back after the 45 days.

t-maxxracer32 11.28.2008 01:10 PM

i would be suprised if it worked that well ^^

although they may have new management 3 months is too long.

BL_RV0 11.28.2008 01:18 PM

That sucks man, sorry to hear. I can't find their phone number on the site either.

I have bought from them with no problems but shit does happen..anyway theres the pnone number...Troy is the head guy I think

Duster_360 11.28.2008 01:54 PM

There's another thread about probs with BPP on RCTECH. There's been threads about the same issues on RCCA. I bought from him some time ago, but after reading all this, I wouldn't consider him as an option. Seems he's been running on excuses for way too long.

rschoi_75 11.28.2008 02:37 PM

There's also threads on RCU as well. They've been going for months now with nothing resolved. Seems like Troy is going down in a ball of flames. Sorry to hear about your problems.... I hope you get your funds back.

4u2nv 11.28.2008 06:58 PM

That's too bad... I've ordered from there numerous times in the past without a problem. I was just going to place another order soon... guess I'll wait now. Maybe it's the "new management" that's the problem. Hopefully it gets worked out because the prices were great.

Bpp

Don't mean to give you more bad news but the phone will never get answer when you try calling. Unless talking to a machine and nobody return your
call is all you're going to get. Goodluck but they are lacking a lot of customer service support. I ordered the motor Wraith for my MLST2, waited from 5 months or more then he sent me a Hyperion 6k motor, cheaper in value for what I paid for the Wraith plus the aggrevation of waiting.

Byte 11.28.2008 07:32 PM

POSTED FOR A FRIEND, HE HAS PROBLEMS WITH MAKING AN ACCOUNT HERE!

Two friends and I also have ordered there three months ago and we are still waiting for our products...
After 2-3 mails there was no answers back.
I also tried with my other mail address and this was the last mail that i got back on 16 november:
[quote]Hello Ricardo, thank you for the information. Contact me on Thursday for a full
update and shipment information. Thank you
[quote]
I mailed back and never got any answer back..

A friend found this somewhere last week:

I want to send it back now. Im done waiting.

BL_RV0 11.28.2008 09:15 PM

It looks like b-p-p is no longer a viable ordering option... sad to see good companies go down the drain like that... i can't imagine how troy feels.

He should feel like a tool for screwing people around like he did.

Hopefully the new ownership actually has some integrity and will make sure customers that pay for their products actually receive them.

Nope, the new owners just took over about a week ago according to what Byte posted.

BL_RV0 11.28.2008 10:21 PM

Ok, hope troy fixes what he's done and then gets the hell out of there.

jayjay283 11.28.2008 10:26 PM

I bought a MM off Troy in like Feburuary and got blown off, claimed he had no phone and kept my money for months, I was probably one of the guys whining on the other sites. He wouldnt acknowledge me or give me my cash back till I filed a complaint with paypal. (luckily used them) 1 or 2 days later he refunded my money and was sweet as pie, but he was not giving it back without a 3rd party intervention.

titan 12.04.2008 05:34 AM

what bad news ... i back ordered 2 MMM neu combos on July! so it is a little bit late for paypal conflict (til 45 days after buying ...) - are there no 'lawsuit' or so?
There were so many good deals with bpp until 2 back orders...

:/

The new owners have to have some information on troy. A very calm and inquisitive phone call to them (or e-mail) may get you more contact information. You might consider talking to the police in his town and informing them of this, credit card fraud is a felony. It might take several tries to get a cop willing to help you, or maybe go as far as calling the district attorney in his county. I would definately send a link of this thread to his current e-mail addy info@formerbppowner.com Good Luck!

Arct1k 12.04.2008 08:57 AM

Eeek that is a shame - I has a few dealings with him last year and early this as was treated really well - Upgraded my eos 5i AC/DC to 6i AC/DC for $10 and got some great deals.

It seemed to go south at some point during the summer... Looks like I dodged a bullet on this one. One lesson is always use a CC even with PP on a major purchase - If PP won't help you out normally your CC will still help.

_paralyzed_ 12.07.2008 06:20 AM

I wrote a lengthy e-mail to the new bpp on your behalf, they forwarded it to troy and he has e-mailed me asking for your name and order number. He has been making it right for people that make some noise, so give me your name and order number, I think I may have resolved this for you!

jhautz 12.07.2008 01:57 PM

I dont quite get how the new owners arent responsible for orders placed prior to them purchasing the business from Troy? You placed the order with the business.... Not Troy personally. They now own that business and all of its commitments and responsisbilities. Unless the old BPP just went under and closed its doors, the new "owners" sould be following thru with any orders that were taken by the business. Just as they should be following thru on collecting any outstanding debts owed to the business.

The fact that they are passing the buck back and forth and saying the "old owner" is responsible is BS in my opinion. You prurchased it from the business and the business should follow thru with it commitments. If the new owners screwed up and didnt do their research and find out how much was owed in back orders to customers that already paid for products is not the customers fault. Its the new owners mistake for not doing it.

If BPP continues to "pass the buck" I would start filing complaints with the Better Business Buerau. That should light a fire under the new owers but to get this junk figured out.

e-mike 12.07.2008 04:18 PM

so let see what happen...someone here seem to be helpful...so i saw on traxxas forum....b.y.t forum and r/c tech forum some post or thread about guy's who have problem with bpp....and i think isn't really good for the buisness...i don't want to make problem or a bad reputation to bpp but i just want justice and especially all my stuff....

He operated the business as a sole proprietorship, so all that was sold was the name, all prior business, including ordering information, past due orders and outstanding debts are solely Troy's.

That is insane! If it is under new management, so what? It is still their problem! They chose to take over BPP, and they must also take over any problems that company in having - whether with Troy, or some hobo off the street!
Its just rediculous how they are trying to get out of it. Not a good start.

_paralyzed_ 12.07.2008 04:31 PM

All the info was sent. It sounds like he will make good on this. Let's all remember how great BPP was before Troy fell on hard times. They were known as a place with good prices and excellent customer service, all managed by one man. When that one man was down there was nobody there to pick up the pieces of his business. Let's all hope for the best.

That's too bad... it really sucks to see a good business go down the tubes. In the past I always has good luck with B-P-P. I feel bad for the guys who are getting the run around now. The new owners should make things right just for the sake of their business... who is going to want to chance ordering from there now with all of this going on.

no me for sure:whistle:...so dont know why me too bpp had some issue..could it be a bankruptcy ...

skellyo 12.08.2008 10:18 AM

It sounds like the new owners actually do care enough to try and help out previous customers that got screwed. While they may not give you a refund or send you the product, it's a pretty good gesture of them to give discounts to past customers that got screwed.

TexasSP 12.08.2008 11:40 AM

Business purchases and changeovers can go many different ways. It is not abnormal for a new owner to have it where the previous owner takes care of previous issues all the way up to and including pending/potential law suits.

The last company I worked for had dealt with asbestos under previous ownership. The ownership I worked under purchased the trademark name, facilities, customer base, etc but left the asbestos litigation and liability with the former owners. That did not stop people from trying to sue us but it never got off the ground.

So basically it is possible, legal, and common for business purchases to not include liabilities and such.
