40 series mulchers

Can any one tell me if some one makes a set of 40 series mulchers? I have a set of crime fighters. They are okay but not for what i run in. I like the 40 series over regular size emaxx tires. Can any one point me in the right dirction?

Sylvester 12.04.2005 04:07 PM

I dont think they make 40 series mulchers? Ill look around for you, ill tell you if i find anything.

squeeforever 12.04.2005 04:27 PM

sylvester is right. they dont make 40 series mulchers, only mashers. which have tread that looks similar to the stock but a little more aggressive.

Serum 12.04.2005 05:12 PM

no leroy. no 40 serie mulchers available..

coolhandcountry 12.04.2005 05:48 PM

Man that sucks. I guess I may check into a reg size then. I would much rather have the 40 series. I like the handling a little better. I check around for something. thanks guys. If you come across something let me know.

I dropped proline a email. I wanted to know if they planning on a set of 40 mulchers.

coolhandcountry 12.06.2005 02:08 PM

I emailed proline. The rep told me that there is no plans for a 40 series mulcher. The rep also said that they would keep this in mind for maybe a new product line. Maybe if more people emailed proline about this they would get it done. Does any one else think this would be a great tire to thrash around with?

Serum 12.06.2005 02:09 PM

i don't think email bombing them would help..

we tried it allready with powerstrokes for the savage.. LOL

coolhandcountry 12.06.2005 02:27 PM

It was just a thought. I guess it will be regular size rims with mulchers then. Can i modify a stock set to fit a 40 series.:D Maybe stretch it to fit.

squeeforever 12.06.2005 05:51 PM

you can cut the sidewalls and use hurricane rims.

Although referring to it as "email bombing" makes it sound bad/mean, telling a company what you want to see in their product line is still the only way they get that crucial information from their customers.
If you don't email/call them to tell them what you want, how will they ever know?
:)

rchippie 12.06.2005 10:16 PM

Cool take a look at these ther not 40's but they are a very very good tire.

Serum 12.07.2005 03:05 AM

Perhaps bombing wasn't the best choice of words in your opinion, but the point is clear imo.

lots of members from savage-central (which has got a HUGE group of members) emailed them with the powerstroke question.

Batfish 12.07.2005 09:27 AM

Serum,
I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but I'm curious as to how you would notify a company when you think they should add a product to their product line.

If what you're saying is that ProLine isn't receptive to suggestions to their customers based on your experience, I guess that would make more sense to me.

I'm always optimistic, however, and I could imagine the scenario at ProLine where some of the product folks are suggesting making 40 series mulcher tires, but their marketing department is saying that they haven't received enough response from customers asking for it. Then coolhand's email show up in their inbox and the clouds open up and the angels start singing. Two weeks later, coolhand receives a free set of tires from ProLine for his great suggestion and a parade is held in his honor.
Okay...maybe I went a little overboard there, but it would still be cool if it happened. :)

coolhandcountry 12.07.2005 09:34 AM

I like free tires. :D I wish they would at least make them. I think it would be a good market for them.
Joe has a good point. If only one person sent something in about a product verse 200 or more. What would be more likely to get a response?

Serum 12.07.2005 09:53 AM

The point is batsish, we can't.... we are too small for them to even make those tires.

Savage central has got about 18000+ members, we are not even in the smallest shadow of that.. Baed on my experiences with proline, I am talking about the powerstrokes for the savage again. I got an email from them, that a certain company was making shocktowers for their powerstrokes, that information they got me was incorrect, i sent them an email about it 2 times with 0 respons.

It takes a person who has got the ability to convince them with the need of the product. the producer needs to be interested in it as well.. I succeeded with a bulkless setup from FLM for the savage. but FLM is not even close to the size of proline. It takes SOOOOO much effort to convince a big company.. I am an optimistic person, but also realistic.

I am not saying, that it CAN't be done, it CAN be done for sure.. The best way is to ask Proline to give us/you a reason for not making the mulchers in 40 series. It would be a very nice tire for certain surfaces for sure...

Batfish 12.07.2005 10:09 AM

It looks like we're actually saying the same thing, just in two different ways.

We're both saying that companies need to know what their customers want, but it takes more work to make a larger company listen.

Yes?

:)

Either way, at some point today I'll send an email to ProLine suggesting they make 40 series mulchers :)

coolhand - have you sent emails to other tire companies asking if they make 40 series tires?

Serum 12.07.2005 12:16 PM

Dear Proline,

We have got a discussion going on, on the forum, rc-monster.com,

It’s about the proline 40 series Mulcher tires. (which doesn’t exist for some reason?)

Neither one of us understands why you don’t have got the 40 series mulchers. It’s in our opinion a tire that would be a logical step to add to your product range. Eversince you’ve got the policy, to launch a good/new product every 15th of the month, I think it might be clear that we’ve got a suggestion about a new set of tires.. (WINKWINK)

It would be a very good tire for a loose surface, and very grippy on grass.

Would you consider making a tire like that?

Greets,
Rene

Serum 12.07.2005 12:16 PM

^I just sent them an email with this question^

Dafni 12.07.2005 01:05 PM

Good boy! :)

Let's hope they follow your link and visit our forum....it might just give them some idea (non-ballooning tires, for example LOL)

Seriously, we all here love PL products, and it's always nice to see fresh prodies pop up at the 15th!

Serum 12.07.2005 01:14 PM

Amen..

Serum 12.07.2005 02:30 PM

Rene,

Thank you for supporting Proline/Protoform products. I have visited your forum and your voice has been heard. I sent the information to our design team for review. No promises at this time however we are definitely looking into it. I thank you and all members of RC-Monster.com for the suggestions. Please feel free to email all suggestions to us, we are always willing to hear customers comments.

Thanks again and have a good day.

Batfish 12.07.2005 02:45 PM

Now reply and ask Daniel Adams where your shocks are for the Savage ;)

:L:

Serum 12.07.2005 02:57 PM

LOL, saving that for the next 15th of the month.. :p

cabking 01.03.2006 08:17 PM

Mulchers are the tire of choice at my track, bow ties just don't give enough grip on the loose stuff.
it would be great to see them in 40's

coolhandcountry 01.30.2006 02:56 PM

:027: I found a set of mulchers I like. I have put them on a couple rims to see what they look like. I may bet new rims so have some bling. I was wondering what you though. :017: I think they are cool looking.

I don't know how to post a pic no more. I post it as soon as i know.

boss 302 01.30.2006 04:46 PM

how much do the tires cost and how big are they

Serum 01.30.2006 06:03 PM

40 series Leroy?

coolhandcountry 01.30.2006 06:21 PM

How do i post them I don't know on the new stuff.
I have a pic just don't know how to get it on forum now. HElp me.

RC-Monster Mike 01.30.2006 06:30 PM

when you post, there is a menu abopve the text box that you are typing in(I use cobalt x). One the the icons is to insert an image. Try that.

coolhandcountry 01.30.2006 06:55 PM

WEll I got it on the rc pics. don't know how to get it on the forum now. :( http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=72589

squeeforever 01.30.2006 07:15 PM

are those prolines?!?!?!?!

coolhandcountry 01.30.2006 07:31 PM

They are proline. I put a little time a cut the standard down to fit the 40 series. I have not glued them yet. I was wondering what people thought before the glueing

boss 302 01.30.2006 07:59 PM

:004::004: i like those send a picture to proline and tell them we want them to make those tires
i would have thought that those were really 40 series tires if i didnt know better
nice work there coolhand :027::027:

coolhandcountry 01.30.2006 08:30 PM

I did email proline the link to the pic. I have not got a response yet. They are not glued to the rims in the pic. I not sure if they going to go on them or another type rim.

boss 302 01.30.2006 08:50 PM

i think that those rims look good with the tires but it is up to you

squeeforever 01.30.2006 09:01 PM

coolhand, i would go for teh commandos since they are bead locks and if there not glued perfect there gonna be out of balance thus slowing you down. and we all know you dont like that :005: and with the beadlocks you can adjust a spot if there out of balance.

boss 302 01.30.2006 09:03 PM

and the beadlocks look cool IMO

top job chc!! just what I need for my track.
Cut them how?

http://www.rcpics.net/media/mulchers_40_series_001.jpg I hot linked to your picture but all I get is this box with the red x ??

coolhandcountry 01.31.2006 09:59 AM

If you look at a set you cut cut a little back from the bead and it fits good. I tried without cutting but was no good. When you mount them with the reg foam it seems to stiffen the tire up a little to. I think it is going to do good. I will let you know on test run.
