The new Bishop Power Products thread

Bishop Power Products was known for a long time as a place to buy r/c at a good price with great customer service. You could find recomendations about Troy on all the r/c forums. This summer that took a downward turn, and unfortunately some people have outstanding orders. It is my understanding that Troy fell on hard times, and as the sole proprietor of BPP there was no one who had the knowledge to help him. Things happen. I'm paralyzed chest down, and I'm writing this from a bed, I'm one month into 4 months of bedrest. Life isn't always easy.

I've made contact with Troy once about e-mikes outstanding order, and he asked for the order details and I believe he will make things right.

Do not bash Troy or BPP here, it will be deleted. I've got 24hrs a day to be online, so I'm going to try and help Troy clear his name, as I believe he is a good guy, and hopefully get some people what they deserve.

When I saw the title, I thought to myself "Uh-oh, here's another one of those threads...". Hopefully everything works out for everyone.

TexasSP 12.08.2008 11:15 AM

Very nice, I hope to see all of this go in a positive direction.

_paralyzed_, it's great to have you on here and the positive way you go about life. You remind me much of my Uncle, who was once a high powered executive for billion dollar corporation. He has little money left. He is diabetic and has had both legs removed at the knee, is mostly blind, has a transplanted kidney, among multiple other health issues. His spirit and attitude always remains positive. He never complains as of which I have never seen you do either.

Your whit and humor is much appreciated on my part!

bdebde 12.08.2008 04:30 PM

I agree, Troy is a top notch guy, I have dealt with him many times and always had great service. I hope it all gets worked out for the guys with outstanding orders.

e-mike 12.08.2008 05:15 PM

:whistle:thanks paralyzed for this thread:yes:....so im really sorry about a lot off bad comment that ive made on the other thread...its just the accumulation off fustration...well now i will wait for some news.....im still hope...and i will continue to send a e-mail each day to bpp...one day i will got an answer...

_paralyzed_ 12.08.2008 05:24 PM

It's a bad situation for everyone involved. Don't worry about the bad comments, you have every right to be angry. I hope I can help some people out...

MTBikerTim 12.08.2008 08:40 PM

I have to say that I have made numerous orders with Troy. The last few were interesting. They took a very long time but they always ended up getting here. He even upgraded my sidewinder order to a MM for nothing.

_paralyzed_ 12.08.2008 09:36 PM

slow going but I am determined to make something happen.................

Tempted 12.08.2008 10:47 PM

I would have to say that if I had a bad experience(never ordered from the guy) I would post on here. Because he used to be a good guy doesn't mean he still gets things done right. Multiple outstanding orders is something that should be noted for future customers so there are no suprises. While I hope everything works out for him and his customers, I would also hope that the mods on this forum see how important feedback is for us potential customers. We praise some companies for their outstanding service and products, we should be able to post negatively if we have negative experiences. Just my .02c. Like I said, I hope it all works out and he gets his customers straightened out. Just don't delete what could be valuable information about a company because they used to be good.

I absolutely agree, but I am on a mission and that is not what this thread is for. Post in a different thread, or start your own. Mods please delete this and the above post.

Rnemhrd 12.09.2008 10:42 AM

Good job paralyzed! Is there any feedback from the new owners?

_paralyzed_ 12.09.2008 02:35 PM

Troy just e-mailed me and is trying to fund the outstanding orders, but that takes time. I will update as I can.

_paralyzed_ 12.09.2008 03:34 PM

I've devised one genius of a plan guys! It'll take me a couple months probably, but one way or another there will be resolution to this.

Tempted 12.09.2008 05:04 PM

I believe, since the other thread has been closed, this should be posted here. Remember, this is NOT a public forum so much as a way answer questions abut MIKES products and show off our own pojects. By trying to save a dud company you are directly taking business away from Mike. Here is Mike's quote from the other thread

"I will throw in my 5 cents, though:
It is unfortunate that some folks have apparently been shafted by this situation, and I too have been "shafted" when BPP sold below MAP. No doubt many of these "problem" sales replaced my own sales. That is business, unfortunately. It is unfortunate that this situation has come to be, but I admittedly have only limited remorse for the folks that come here for the information and discussion, and then go elsewhere to buy - and sometimes even post here that they bought elsewhere. Yep, the situation sucks, but I have lost plenty of money indirectly over the years by these very happenings. So you thought you saved a couple dollars and eventually it comes back to bite you. I guess it sucks for all of us - sucks for the guys that chose to buy elsewhere to save a buck and got screwed, and it sucks that I was not able to capture those very sales and deliver as promised, and as I always try to do. Glad I got that off my chest - it has been bothering me for a while. I will get off my horse now.
"

I've recieved another e-mail from Troy, and he says he is trying to start filling orders within a couple of weeks. We will see with e-mikes and titans order if he is legit

Bishop Power 12.10.2008 03:51 PM

Bishop Speaks!

To all:

Hello. My name is Dave and I am the new owner of Bishop Power Products. I would like to take this opportunity to explain some things that all previous customers need to understand. Please read the ENTIRE post before passing judgement or before making assumptions.

I bought Bishop Power Products for a large debt owed by Troy to Me and in that agreement, we have an indemnification clause which basically states that Troy is responsible for all previous orders and all previous debts. This was necessary because of his poor record keeping and inability to give me, in a timely manner, an exact number of orders that were outstanding. He is still working on it today (almost three weeks after the business sale took place).

One major issue in resolving this is that many people have initiated chargebacks with their credit card company or with Paypal and have received their money back but for some reason still feel they should get the product they ordered as well (I have no less than ten emails stating such). If there is a chargeback, the money is instantly withdrawn from Troys account. If he has no money in that account then Paypal protects buyers up to a certain amount and gives that money to the customer and in the case of a credit card transaction, they are protected 100% and the customer gets their money back regardless of Troy's account status. I am not asking anyone to withdraw their chargeback but if you have initiated a chargeback, your order will not be shipped because you should be getting your money back from your credit card company or Paypal whichever the case may be.

Please keep in mind that I, the new owner of Bishop, have absolutely NO access whatsoever to Troy's Paypal account or his old credit card merchant account so it is literally impossible for me to tell who has had their order shipped and who hasn't as it is also impossible for me to tell who has initiated a chargeback and who hasn't. I also have no access to old order information (beyond June 12th as that is when Troy changed to his new web cart). I can't just send orders to anyone who claims to not have received one. If you have not received your money back through the chargeback process, you should email Troy at info@formerbppowner.com and copy me in on the email as well at orders@b-p-p.com.

Now, with all that being said, I don't intend on standing by and doing nothing either. I am in fact working with Troy to try and get some of the old orders that he can CONFIRM still need to be shipped (that have no chargeback pending). But, you are all going to have to be patient. At this point, what choice do you and I have but to be patient anyway.

Please understand that you ordered from Troy, he received the money and not me. So any orders that I do send out, are a complete loss for me, other than the obvious good will.

We have opened our own Paypal and Merchant (credit card) accounts and we are currently shipping all orders placed on a daily basis by 2 pm (Monday through Friday). I am sure there are people reading this who have ordered from the new Bishop Power Products who are happy customers. We run a tight ship here and now have almost real time inventory on the website (updated daily at 4 pm).

This of course is only the beginning and it will be a long road back to earning your trust, but I need to tell you all publicly that Bishop Power Products is an entireley different company as of November 21st. Regardless of the speculation online, Troy is NOT still the owner and has nothing to do with the company anymore except to help me figure out who the old orders are that he still needs to take care of.

I will look back on this thread as often as I can but don't intend on hashing out problems in the public forum. Please email your questions to me at orders@b-p-p.com and please don't use the PM feature as I don't have time to add every forum PM to my daily routine. If you email me, please include your Full Name, Shipping Adress, order number and payment method and I will do what I can to help you.

Sincerely,

Dave

dave mike told me you had registered yesterday i was wondering when youd chime in, it good to get your word in, i have order previously from BPP and never had a problem. good to here its all straigtened out for the most part.

bdebde 12.10.2008 04:12 PM

I wish it was almost ALL straightened out. Troy's record keeping (if you can even call it that) makes it very difficult for him to even look these things up and get back to me. I am trying and don't want anyone to lose out but you wouldn't believe how many people who have done chargebacks with him and still expect me to ship them their stuff. I think that is unfair (and ludicrous) and that of course it is not going to happen.

DickyT 12.10.2008 04:53 PM

To file a charge back, receive your money back and then still demand the item is beyond ludicrous. The greed of the human race never ceases to amaze me.

This really make me appreciate this forum and the giving people we have here, therer are a few bad apples, but they are just that, the few.

Glad to see things might have a resolution! Dave, is it true that you also own AllERC? If so you area very stand up guy to deal with. That site is my second place to check if I need something lipo or brushless related and Mike does not have it.

ReV:-O 12.10.2008 05:37 PM

Is there any way to prove that you have not made a Paypal dispute or chargeback?

Bishop Power 12.10.2008 05:43 PM

Not really. All I can do is ask Troy to look it up in his paypal account and have him provide me the information.

titan 12.11.2008 06:19 AM

I started a Paypal dispute on 6th Dec 2008, but it was closed by paypal "automaticly". There are more than 45 days sincs July. Dave, I send you my Email and offers too. (about my 2 orders, the same facts i sent to troy and _paralyzed_)
I hope it helps all.

Titan

BL_RV0 12.11.2008 10:12 AM

So it's safe to assume you are handling any orders placed, say, today?

_paralyzed_ 12.11.2008 02:04 PM

Troy and Dave have both told me in the next few weeks that people will get their orders straightened out, yet Troy refuses to call me. He could run to Tijuana and live like a king for the rest of his life, or he could be on the up and up, so why won't he make a 10 second traceable call, yet he responds with untraceable e-mails. Can any computer guys tell me the location of his e-mail address. Since they've given me a timeline I must wait, if that time comes and people aren't set straight then it's on to phase 2................

ClodMaxx 12.11.2008 04:07 PM

i think this is a bunch of hogwash. troy is AWOL, and the only real thing dave has come on here to say is 'look, my hands are clean. sorry you got screwed. talk to the old owner.'

lesson: buy from The Monster and these things won't happen.

_paralyzed_ 12.11.2008 04:31 PM

^^^^+1 buy from the monster and know you're taken care of

bigboi146 12.11.2008 08:31 PM

I agree. I've never had a problem ordering from Mike!

_paralyzed_ 12.12.2008 04:33 PM

I just receieved another e-mail from Troy. He's doing what he can and as stated before quoted a time of "several weeks". Anyone else have outstanding orders? The squeaky wheel gets the grease:yes::yes:

FG101C 12.12.2008 05:25 PM

One thing I've learned is always pay with a credit card. Already got my chargeback money. Now as soon as RCM gets the combo's I may be able to get my buggy running.

Bishop Power 12.13.2008 02:37 PM

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I am expecting the final list from Troy with any and all outstanding orders by Sunday evening. After that, it will take me some time to sort out the order in which I will begin sending orders. If you have an open order and haven't spoken up, now is the time. HOWEVER, email me the information, don't post it here as I have very little time to check these forums and don't get emails every time they are updated. Orders@b-p-p.com is where you can reach me. info@formerbppowner.com is where you can reach Troy.

I am working on getting a phone number added to our current business line so we can take calls for Bishop but be aware, the only way to get an old order taken care of is through me and Troy. Anyone who has initiated a chargeback or Paypal dispute will not receive their product as well as their money back through the chargeback process.

Only thing I ask, is that you be respectful in your communications with me and please be patient as I try to work this out with Troy and get everyone who has been waiting their orders.

lutach 12.13.2008 04:55 PM

I'll let the folks from Brasil know this.

_paralyzed_ 12.13.2008 05:01 PM

thanks lutach. Dave has stated he will ship the orders and Troy will either secure a loan to pay Dave or owe him. Don't give up guys, and if you know of other forums where there has been BPP issues please post a link there to this thread, or tell me what forum it is and I will post a link. Can you imagine how many people just gave up? Let's make this right.

I give my hat out to you sir. I still don't have any sympathy for Troy though and everything I said before will stand.

New Bishop Power Products (All e RC), great job. Only good things will come out of this for sure. Please have a look at Mike's (The owner of RC-Monster) product's and carry it as well. Great guy and great products and I'm sure we all here will put our names on the line.
