Best pipe for Revo

Hey there guys i was thinking of getting a revo and was mainly stuck between engine and pipe to get.

Engines: Sirio .23 or the RB TM323

Pipe: Vantage Revo Carbon fiber pipe(any good?) or Fantom Revo Works Racing Tuned Pipe, natural finish.

Thanks for input.

Best pipe is one with a magnetic rotor in it..

Lol..

I don't know anything about nitro, but i know those vantage CF parts look awesome.. (don't know about their performance either to be honest..) (great help i am..?)

The vantage CF frame is one neat hopup too..

mike told me to get the rd racing. i would get the o.s. .18 tz

nbcaznmaster 12.08.2005 09:21 PM

ya .18tz or tm. Cant use the cf pipe because u need a BIG BLOCK PIPE. if u get the rb motor, it comes with it. If u get sirio, you'll have to buy a pipe and manifold which willb e a pain, cuz they dotn make many big block pipes/manifolds for revo.

I have a friend who has a sirio .23 and a trinity pipe and its scary the power it has

nbcaznmaster 12.08.2005 09:41 PM

rb is even more powerfull, so i heard.

Are you telling my non f thses pipes will fit even though it says revo on them?

And maybe it is just easier to get the RB since it has a pipe and all? I can drop that one in immeditaly? and i can hook up EZ start to the RB?

M323 power unit comes complete with a specifically designed exhaust manifold, exhaust pipe and engine mounting set to install this engine in your REVO without modification, and uses the original electric starter.

That just answered my question, i think ill go with this unless there is a good reason i should get a LST with novarossi 528 instead.

nbcaznmaster 12.09.2005 07:37 AM

if u wnanna race, go with the .18tm, but bashing is crazy with the rb.

$w!ft 12.09.2005 02:53 PM

.23rb revo= 528 novarossi LST just about right?

squeeforever 12.09.2005 10:52 PM

the rb isnt to much for the revo tranny? and what will perform better, os .18tz or the rb?

nbcaznmaster 12.09.2005 10:58 PM

well, .18tz if u want race conditions. Rb if u bash. .18tz is a TOUCHCY Motor. many of my freinds cant tune it above 200 degrees cuz it becomes unstable then. the temps fluctuate alot. But the performance is incredible.

squeeforever 12.10.2005 02:40 PM

i've always been told there really easy to tune. not to mention if they are heat sensitive rd just came out with a head for them.

$w!ft 12.10.2005 02:42 PM

will a rb revo compare to a novarossi LST???

Gustav 12.10.2005 07:46 PM

In a drag race you mean? Probably the revo if both trucks are stock other than the engine. You can lighten the LST very easily though with the forward only conversion and a change of wheels tyres.Just over 11 pounds is good for a racey LST.No idea what the little REVO weighs but a couple of pounds less maybe.

squeeforever 12.10.2005 10:43 PM

there is a lst at my local track and it cant get out of its own way its so slow. i would say a revo is the way to go. its more nibble, lighter, fast, and far superior in terms of racing.

nbcaznmaster 12.10.2005 11:05 PM

not neccearily, dont forget, its more about skilzl then the car, but the revo does give u alil bit of edge. I know some1 with a LST that is 1st in the MT. He is a awesoem driver on ANY CAR!

Gustav 12.10.2005 11:06 PM

You guys race big block and small block together.Wierd.You can't account for every chump who buys a truck and tries to race it,the driver has a lot to do with it,(i'm gonna bite my lip).On alot of tracks, the small blocks are quicker than the unlimiteds but this is not always the case at every track.Over here the tracks are a little different,$w!ft is from the UK,he never mentioned racing either.

$w!ft 12.11.2005 07:24 AM

Thing is i race and i Bash. I bash if there isnt a racing event(and there arent that many), so primarily bashing.

Revo with RB or LSt with novarossi.

I think i might go with the revo because losi is almost non existant here.

nbcaznmaster 12.11.2005 09:29 AM

ya, same for me. Dunno why. well, go with the rb, it is still a competetive motor, just learn how to handle that extra power on tthe track. Cuz many say the power is overkill for racing.

yeah, EZ start will work fine w/ the RB - i'm looking at getting the RB323 myself for several reasons; you don't need another engine mount, it comes with everything you need in one package, and i've had some friends tell me that it's a champ so far as keeping it's tune - only wide environmental changes necessitate messing around with the mixture. according to the 3 people i've talked to, once you complete your initial setup and get everything dialed in, you're solid.

i'm less inclined to go with the os.18 because you still gotta get a pipe and engine mount (and whatever else i don't know about). i haven't added up the numbers, but it sounds like the RB will be cheaper by the time it's all said and done.

another friend of mine put a trinity pipe on the stock 2.5R on his Revo - and even though it's labeled to fit the Revo, it's not as nice of a fit as the stock pipe. it takes a bit of fiddling to get it to not interfere with the rear rockers, including bending the thick wire it mounts to... and once you're done it sits at a weird angle. it works and all, but it doesn't look stock and it's not as nice as you might want...
