Don't Laugh and punch me in the face

I thought this would be a good forum for me since I put a Mamba Monster V3 in my wheely king crawler it fits perfect and with my brushed motor it is super smooth. Yes I know its overkill Yes I know sidewinder's work good Yes I know I should have gotten a Tekin FX-R pro But I am really happy and I like the programing ability of this esc. Merry Christmas

this is RC-Monster. We like that kind of overkill! Welcome, you'll fit in fine:yes:

"Don't laugh and punch me in the face" ?? I don't think I've EVER seen anyone use that kind of statement as their first post. I was expecting to read something utterly ridiculous. Like was said, we eat, sleep, and breathe overkill around here, so welcome!

Except for that guy lincpimp, everything over here is overkill in overdrive.

lincpimp is the epitome of conservative setups with many underpowered and slow little rigs.........:diablo:

Funny you should say that... I used to spend quite a bit when I first got in to rc, but I guess my driving skill has improved and I stopped hiting stuff. I have never really had ultra-heavy trucks so they generally hold up fine with stock parts. My bash area is usually free of cars and trees, and I make sure my tires are glued and everything is bolted together right, which is often the cause of breakage. I did stick a tire or a truck really good yesterday while testing the lst2, but it is a solid truck and I hit the tire pretty square. Had to dodge a moving car, and the tires were sliding in some gravel. Plus that truck is only doing about 37mph, waiting on some larger pinions.!

Yes, welcome to RC-Monster! Don't take anything we say here seriously unless the post is completely devoid of smileys!

I take it you had the MMM just laying around, so you thought: "What the hell, I'll put this 200A ESC in my 1/12 scale crawling rig."
At least you wont need to worry about smoking it.

Funny how when you stop hitting immovable objects things stop breaking.....

I hardly mess up anything anymore either. I just try to avoid cluttered areas to run in. I am managing a construction project building an Airplane Hangar/Office right now and got to run inside the hangar portion which is 9500 square feet. That was a blast drifting around on the smooth cement.......
No worries about hitting anything in that space!

BrianG 12.23.2008 01:20 PM

I try to avoid things too, but those stupid curbs/trees/mailboxes/vehicles/children/animals/houses/myself just seem to jump in the way.

Well I think this is the best greeting I have had for a rc forum. I needed a esc and was going to get a Mamba Max. I started shopping around and found Holmes hobbies was having a deal on all esc's. Sooo Mamba max 117.00 shipped Mamba monster 143.00 shipped so I just got this instead I like it alot. I have caught some flak over on those other "girl" forums:lol: But deep down I knew you crazy f&*!s would accept me:yipi: Oh yeah the braddah from Maui I have lived here for 3 1/2yrs but I am not from here but I live in Kihei across from Kam 3.
