EZ Run ESC for Revo Conversion

http://www.swanghobby.com/product.ph...&cat=41&page=1

Would that handle a 8XL on 12 Ni-Mh cells and later on a 4S Li-Po? I saw a video on YouTube and that's what gave me the idea. I want to spend as little $$$ as possible to get a Revo that can do at least 40mph, 35mph minimum.

No its very small ESC for 12cell or 4s lipo. and its rated for 60A. this motors need more amp like 80-120A

Takedown 01.01.2009 10:15 PM

I wouldnt suggest it but it has been done. I would atleast reccomend a MM if your on a budget.

hailmick 01.02.2009 08:41 AM

+1 for mamba max

I think this would be the EZRUN for you http://cgi.ebay.com/EZRUN-Brushless-...1%7C240%3A1318 It's pretty new, untested, but cheaper and doesn't need bec or fan. Here it is with a xl motor http://cgi.ebay.com/EZRUN-19T-3674SL...1%7C240%3A1318 I don't think you can get cheaper then 175 shipped for a system. But you'll have a cheap system :(

RC-Monster Mike 01.02.2009 07:29 PM

Thanks for good news.

(need to beat them up first)did you means test them if they are good or not before starting selling them?

RC-Monster Mike 01.04.2009 11:10 AM

Yes - I need to get some time to learn their strengths and weaknesses(beat them up). If they hold up well on 4s, then I will stock and sell them(at an attractive price). At 80 amps, I suspect the 4s model will be mid range buggy territory. The 150 amp unit should in theory handle whatever it needs to in a buggy or truggy. I won't know until I get some time on them.
I am not sure on the 1/10 escs. If the 1/8 stuff works out well, then there is no reason not to offer the 1/10 stuff as well I suppose. :)

pedeboi364 01.04.2009 11:56 AM

^^^thats awesome to hear. I have a T-maxx, pede, and DST all screaming for some good BL, but whenever I check out the prices my wallet starts to cry. Do u know when u'll be offering these ESCs, and at what prices?? thnx!!!

q8-maxx 01.04.2009 12:17 PM

Thats why we said You are the best :)
Thank you alot for your supports

Frozen72 01.04.2009 12:21 PM

Also can you see if they are waterproof. I've seen some sites advertising them as "Waterproof" but I'm not going to try myself.

Nicholas

pedeboi364 01.04.2009 12:26 PM

ive only seen dustproof and have yet to see a real waterproof bl esc

Frozen72 01.04.2009 12:31 PM

There can always be a first. Plus LRP has a waterproof ESC but it is sensored and HUGE.

suicideneil 01.04.2009 02:20 PM

The old MTronics esc were water proof (epoxy filled), but you still have exposed connections on the pcbs, and the plugs arent waterproof, nor are most batts for that mater. I wouldnt drive them through anything more than wet grass or snow- definately no puddles or mud bogging with BL equipment.

Any update to how this EZRUN controller is doing with the bash tests?

Raze ST Truggy 02.18.2009 04:06 PM

I'm going to guess that it passed the testing since he is now offering them in his store:

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...rod=HW80ampesc

Mine should be on the way. I'll report back once I've gotten a few packs through it. I'll be running a Raze Buggy with a 60mm 2000kv medusa.

jzemaxx 02.18.2009 04:16 PM

I thought their was a 120A version now available with 6S capability?

BrianG 02.18.2009 05:49 PM

There is, but Mike isn't carrying those yet. So far, he just has the 4s/80A version.

djkurious 02.19.2009 10:30 AM

I was hoping he was testing the 150A version:

Yeah I had no idea either....just typed it into youtube and was very suprised. That 80A controller looks like no joke, and that motor looks pretty quick as well.

jzemaxx 02.19.2009 02:42 PM

I getting the purchase finger....
I really hate to spend 300 for the MMM!

jzemaxx 02.19.2009 03:15 PM

Yeah.....and have it fail on you as well. I've gone through a few MMM's already.

jzemaxx 02.19.2009 03:40 PM

Just bought the 150A/ SL3674 motor ESC combo...200 shipped to the door!!!!!. Looking at the specs, the motor is the same diameter as a 1515, but the length is between a 1515 and 1521. So will be VERY interesting to see. I will post pics and details. I'm building a 3905 emaxx to race in the production monster truck class....so we will see how it does under alot of abuse.
