hi guys,

how do you spell carbon fibre? is it fibre or fiber? i cant work it out, and they seem to both mean the same thing.

If it's for a presentation I would say "fibre". It sounds more formal.

There are lots of different spelling between English and Americanish- usually 're' vs 'er' in words (like centre, though there is also center in English, but they mean two different things), but also 'y' vs 'i' in words like tyre, or missing 'u's in words like colour and flavour (I spell color the american way due to html coding quite often, but when Im feeling slightly patriotic I break out in Queen's English mode....).

I should have been a teacher...

I think its fibre when referring to the carbon type and fiber when referring to the dietary type.
