DAM!

Is there even room in the trucks to put that thing? And i thought the MMM was big

George16 01.06.2009 07:36 PM

I like the mounting tab on the side of the ESC. It would have been great if Castle put some like that when they molded the cases.

But yeah, it's huge and so is your picture :).

wallot 01.06.2009 07:42 PM

how lovely fan. thats what offroad cars really need :)

George16: get a bigger screen

e-mike : forum pictures should not really be larger than 800x600. they load up slow and not everyone has 24" screen :diablo:

Takedown 01.06.2009 07:55 PM

Holy hell! I thought the MMM was big...

BL_RV0 01.06.2009 07:59 PM

Wow. Big.

notnodak 01.06.2009 08:07 PM

It looks stout. How does it compare all around to the MMM?

Takedown 01.06.2009 08:50 PM

Were did you buy the esc from? I am interested in it but cant find out were to buy it.

suicideneil 01.06.2009 08:57 PM

I look forward to some objective side by side testing with the MMM- an eagle tree would be a good thing to have, as would a temp gun and a stop watch.

**in the red corner, weighing in at 150amps continuous is the new boy from china, and in the blue corner, weighing in at 120amps, or 200 if you blow on it a bit, the 3 times re-born saviour of large scale rc from America...**

Janezki 01.06.2009 09:49 PM

Hobbywing doesn't sell them directly to end customers.
eBay seems to have few... I'm tempted...
ESC only
Combo with 2350kv motor (36mm x74mm) & program card

jhautz 01.06.2009 09:50 PM

:oh: Just slap some wheels right on the ESC. Who needs a chassis with an ESC that big. lol

_paralyzed_ 01.06.2009 10:00 PM

Not to take anything away from lutach's esc, but comparitively the hobbywing aint so big:lol:

also shrink this darn pic!

e-mike 01.06.2009 10:02 PM

That is curious because we had similar issues trying to run an outrunner off that same esc. We actually fried the outrunner. It was working fine on another esc and then on that one smoke.

i just hope that we are the only guy's who have this issue....so i shipped the bad unit today for a replacement.....but my friend had one(150amp)and it un flawlessly:yes:so i put it back a mmm in my truck:whistle:

himalaya 01.07.2009 11:44 PM

e-mike, I found your MMM has motor wires soldered directly to the board, does it come that way or you mod it?
Mine has battery wires soldered and femail bullets for motor.

normal its a mmmv1:yes:

florianz 01.08.2009 08:28 AM

what pwm-setting did you try? i experienced that w. a higher pwm coggin disappears, just like timing. first put the pwm higher, then try different timings, I use eg. 7deg. for a two pole, as long temp. is ok. The cables/wires aren't too long?
what I've read about the small ezruns it seems that at least these esc's are quite ok.
I dunno if that helps, just a try.

I like the three big 1000er caps, that looks solid. size DOES matter...

have you tried a 2 pole motor yet ill assume you used a 4 pole when you had the problem

i try a lot of thing,,3 or 4 cell lipo, other motor(feigao and a 1515 2,5d),,ive played with the timing, change the receiver and the transmetter,so nothing to do the esc cog at mid trottle and mu motor come hot really fast:whistle:

timaneli 01.09.2009 12:25 PM

did you take off the green ring of the esc that come around the receiver plug of the esc??
donīt do it...
this ring is like a magnet to prevent magnetic interferences on the car...
brushless motors produces alot of magnetic field and mine 150a hobbywing was doing that until i put that green ring with the wire around it again..

regards

cheesecake 01.12.2009 01:56 AM

did you buy the program card with it

molak 01.12.2009 04:39 AM

are you serious about spending 245 in that combo instead of buying a MMM combo for 260??

tntpower 01.18.2009 05:14 PM

I have tried mine today on my EIGHT-T, not bad but not as smooth as the MMM.

Has anything come of this yet? Have you recieved a new ESC, are they giving you the run-around? I'm looking at the 80A version to run in a buggy on 4S Lipo with a Medusa 60mm 2000kv motor.
