newb question
just about BL... 1. do you need to break them in or adjust them at all or is it something where you just go.. 2.well just any pointers would be nice
Pretty much just run it. No maintenence (occasionally good to add a drop of oil to the bearings) to worry about.
thats it.. wow.. how fast roughly does the fegaio i think it is that you suggested go?
This will depend on a few things, such as batteries, gearing, tires, terrain, etc. It can run 30mph all day or be geared into the 50mph range pretty easily as well.
awesome... what controller do you recommend
9918 warrior is the best for the money.
alrighty.. that is probably going to be in a while though maybe any where from 4-6 months i am soooooo pooor
what would i pick for the shaft size when i order?
1/8" is easier to work with, but you need to be careful and install the pinion as close to the motor as you can (don't mount the pinion out on the very end of the shaft). These will allow any maxx sized pinion to fit. The 5mm shaft is much stronger, but pinions are not as cheap or as easy to come by.
so the difference is convenient and not as convenient but stronger?
you got it.
once i buy a new motor and stuff could you help me via net set it up some how?
Of course.
thanks mike.. you are one of the nicest guys i have met online on a forum
My pleasure, Toby. That is why I put the forum here. In the course of helping you, many others may have learned something they didn't think to ask.
3 cheers for Mike.
You cant go wrong with Mike. I have learned quite a bit on these forums. After many years in this hobby I am still a BL noobie |

well i was goiong to get the 9l but i mught want some more power? how is the 10l or the 7xl? could someone let me know about them both and which is good cause i am going to get the 199.99 controller cause that seems okay can i get 16 cells on that? or is the 9l good enoguh for bashing? does someone have a video of it?
On 14 cells, the 9L will be plenty powerful for your needs. The 10L would need 16 cells to have similar performance, as will the 7xl.
what is so good about those ones then?
Different strokes for different folks. Some prefer the longer runtime and greater efficiency of the higher cell count systems (10L, 7xl), while others prefer to run light weight trucks on 12 cells and go with 8L or 9L power. Personal preference basically. The 7xl will also more easily power a heavy weight truck than the others, although the "L" motors have plenty of grunt.
so they are no faster? i am thinking the pletenburg maxximum or something:eek:
The Pletts are nice, but they cost as much as the Feigao motor and warrior controller combined. The Feigao motors have plenty of grunt.
are the plet ones owrth it? i know they are stupid speed for sure but what controller would i need? i want STUPID SPEED
come on someone. let me know.
Stupid speed can be had with any of these systems.
with the 9l???
