The tare down. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z..._069/008-4.jpg It only took me 45 minutes to do the parts swap. All the parts fit like a glove. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z..._069/009-4.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z..._069/010-4.jpg I am waiting for the battery and servo to finish the build, then time for some video. |
Very nice - the RCM stuff is just silly nice. Hope they start coming out with some other chassis kits in addition to the RC8 and RC8T.

Man I love those RCM RC8 chassis'. I gotta keep myself from buying another rig though (it's tough looking at these).

I wish Mike would make that same kit for an MBX-6.

Looks great! I love all the shiny aluminum. What kind of hex drivers are those? Did they come in a package as pictured?

Any word on this Mike? |
Shoot him a PM - that's what I did when I was considering a chassis/kit for a buggy. He told me to send him the chassis to work something up. I'm sure he would love to have more kits for sale on the site.
|
baah I just bought and RC8 so I can run his kit.. I probably would have bought a losi otherwise.. just because my truggy is a losi..
|
Damn that RCM stuff is nice!

very nice. My RC8T conversion from RCM is excellent. amazing weight balance even using a 4S PQ6000XP Pack.

I got the buggy all finished up and everything laid out where it needs to be. I just wished I had more room to mount the esc on the chassis. I am still waiting for the battery to come in the mail and I need to paint the body.

I am jealous nice buggy.. I hope mine gets here soon..
|
just a quick question. what gearing are you running. and what batterys are you going to be running.
Thanks. |
Great looking buggy Chip. Mike does great work, I am always pleased with his stuff, except maybe the battery tray, it gave me some issues at first, but seems ok now, what's left of it anyway  I look forward to video of this beast in action.

I had a chance to run the buggy today and it drives great. The temps after 10 mins of driving were 110 on the motor, esc was 115, and the battery was 107. I have it gear 44/14.

Just my little test video.:yes:

Can you measure how far the end of the battery tray sits in comparison to the rear a-arm? trying to see how it compares to my current RC Product Designs conversion.
