Majour "OH DUH!" moment today
Well I build this today, servo actuated switch to power up my MMM from my radio, worked wonderfully until it came time for it to do its job. Can anyone tell me why?
PS I already know the answer, so Ben if you figure it out you do not win. Pics: http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/S6300267.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...X/S6300268.jpg |
err you need power for the servo when the switch is off...
|
Ding ding! We have a winner! How can I supply power to the servo besides turning the switch on?
|
It took me a minute, but I figured it out before I looked for the answer.......... Just another senior moment:whistle:
|
well, you can use a Ubec so when your batteries are plugged in, your servos and Rx are already getting power......then its just a matter of flicking the switch on you Tx. ...
But I'm not sure what the mod is for. I would assume that when you plug your battery in, you could turn the ESC on by hand....so I must have missed something. Why do you need the ESC turned on by remote? |

I'm trying to work out which is worse, this or the piezo 'horn' |
remote start....nice...

If it worked it would be nice. Got any ideas guys???

Damm ian, how come i cant play?
I used one of these- AKA the thing-a-ma-jig, was a servo with a 9v battery holder and a switch Ca'ed on for my led's-worked great... ever think of a big capacitor? |
dissable the MMM BEC, add a external BEC so when you plug the batteries in, everything but the ESC will be powered up
|
thats what I said.
