Big 'ol write up
Well, I have a surgery tomorrow. Some of you know I complain here and there about bedrest, I've basically lived in a bed for the past 15 months due to complications with pressure sores. I can't feel when my butt gets sore so the constant sitting is a problem for me and many that are wheelchair bound.
So, tomorrow I get a little plastic surgery to close the extra hole in my butt. They will harvest tissue from my ass or thigh and fill in the whole. The fun part? 6 weeks of strict bedrest on my side in a hospital for recovery. During the recovery, I'm going to attempt to have my spine straightened. Due to not having core muscles my torso looks like it melted and fell to the side, which caused uneven pressure, and the resulting pressure sores which have plagued me for so long. So, hopefully I can schedule a spinal surgery to cure the problem rather than addressing the symptoms. Kinda crazy, I'm hoping for back surgery. I don't know how much I'll be online. I assume a lot less, but that's what I thought when my laptop died. Hopefully the hospital has wireless........ |
All the best
Here's hoping for a good outcome. I always say that surgery is like getting recued by a helicopter, it seems like a terrible idea until you need it and then it's the best thing in the world. Anyway, I wish you well.

Good luck with it Harold. I know all of us here are wishing you the best with your surgery and recovery. And if you get the laptop/wireless working in the hospital, be sure and get a webcam pointed at the hot nurses!

good luck - hope everything goes well

I've been really curious about my son's future being wheelchair bound, and I think you're giving me some insight. As it is, he's small enough that we just don't let him sit in one position for too long. He has a few different types of chairs around the house to sit in, so we move him around a lot. Let's hope he doesn't grow too much!
Good luck, Harold! I hope your nurses are great to you and that the time goes by quicker than expected. You're in our prayers. |
Good luck with all of that Harold. Hope the hospital has wireless, cause if not I will be missing your humor! Ok this is starting to sound like a Jerry2k1 post, but heres to a speedy recovery! (waving my glass of scotch wildly in the air!)
Or, as jj283 would put it " urrrh arrrgh pffft squeakzizzle, $%#@**, on top o things! (paraphrased, of course) |

If it was somebody else I'd have doubts about the origins of the "extra hole in the ass" lol
I saw some chicks on Redtube who would prolly pay good money for one of those hahaaha Here's to a successful surgury and internet access and hot nurses! Maybe you'll get one that will wanna watch the "nurse training videos" on RT on how to properly take care of their patients ;) |

Harold, you will be in my prayers. Hospital stays are no fun unless you get to have your eye candy (nurses and physical therapists seem to be better looking more and more these days, at least if the hospital in question is affiliated to a university) and a wireless connection. Hope lady luck will be on your side and God will look after you and help you keep your spirits up! As mentioned so many times before, you will be missed in your absence.

Good luck brother.

You are in my prayers Harold. I used to be in a Corvette club whose charity was children with spina bifida I have seen many wheelchair bound people and wish you the best. Mark |
Harold, my thoughts and prayers are w/you for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Look forward to hearing from you when the surgeries are over!

You guys are awesome. Maybe Shaun will have that brushless wheelchair ready by the time I'm back home? That'd be fun!

Get your Arse fixed up and get back to work on the CyberSuperMaxx truck so we can see some videos. We hope you get well and get back here quickly to take your place here next to lincpomp, since someone has to watch over him. God only knows what kind of problems he will cause with you on vacation. You know what a pain it is to keep him in his cage. I don't think I can heckle him all on my own you know. See you back here real soon. The place will be quiet without you. All the best from The Hill Family in Korea. |
Good luck,Harold.
