My new toys!

I went today to my LHS to pick a Savage Flux I had them order in for me. While I was there, I ended up getting a good deal on a Summit, so I picked up one of those too.

Be sure to let us know how the savage is when you run it tommorow .

Can I have one? :D

I want a Summit! Or a Flux >_>

More over a flux though :D

JERRY2KONE 02.21.2009 01:53 AM

Nice.

Nice little collection of toys there Skellyo. Good diversity as well. That Summit really looks like a nice truck. Have you played with it yet? That looks like a pretty veristile vehicle. What was your cost?

What's_nitro? 02.21.2009 01:58 AM

The Summit is frakin' huge.... I still want one.

Hardstyle 02.21.2009 06:41 AM

Thanks. Haven't run the Summit yet, but drove one at the LHS a couple of times. I ended up getting both trucks for a good price since I bought them together. My LHS treated me very well. :mdr:

I sold a lot of other RC stuff over the past couple of weeks, so I was sorta prepared for this rather than it being an impulse purchase.

magman 02.21.2009 09:22 AM

Nice collection you have there!

Gee 02.21.2009 01:09 PM

I had more respect for you when I thought I was a $1400 impulse buy! LOL I saw the Summit was at the LHS I went to but after fondling the 4pk for 10minutes. I didn't ask to look at the summit closely. I walked out with shock oil. I felt I had to buy something. Nice collection of fun you have.

rschoi_75 02.21.2009 01:32 PM

We definitely need some vids of the flux. If they are as tough as the nitro savages I always see around, it will be a fun truck for sure.

lucias 02.21.2009 01:37 PM

I am interested in the Savage Flux, keep is posted.. They look like a pretty cool for a RTR truck..

RCShocker 02.21.2009 03:37 PM

Sweet........

So one-third of your collection is brand new AND another is "new to you", life is good huh Sean?

skellyo 02.21.2009 04:06 PM

Actually 1/4 is brand new, 1/8 are new to me. 2 other vehicles aren't pictured...they're in pieces.

Yes, life is pretty good.

skellyo 02.21.2009 08:29 PM

Took the Savage Flux out for a little bit today to check it out. It's quite fun on just 4S with the standard gearing out of the box. Overall, it was a very good first impression. I'm planning to take it with me tomorrow to a track and see how it does.

TexasSP 02.21.2009 11:59 PM

Dang, the summit makes the flux look like a stampede.

Nice collection you have there!

+1 The Summit takes up A LOT of room on the shelf.

skellyo 02.22.2009 08:46 PM

I took the Flux with me today to a track. The track was decent, but the jumps were really a bit much as almost all of them would really launch you skyward. Here's a synopsis of the track time with the Flux:

Lots of folks asked what the truck was and oohed and aahed at the speed of it
Handled very well for a big MT on a track
Stock tires suck in loose dirt/sand
Jumps very well and is easy to control in the air
Batt tray popped open and a pack popped out causing some insulation damage on a batt pack power lead
Overall, I was extremely happy with the truck's performance

FWIW, there were only two vehicles on the track that could consistently come out of a corner with a very short run-up and clear the triple...my Flux and my CRT.
