Finally, progress on my FLM E-MAXX
YeeeeHaaaa!!! I got enough parts to put together so now it looks like a MT. I still got to put electronics and steering etc... in but that won't take long I hope. Tell me what yall think about my truck. Not only is this my first MT, It's my first RC of any kind. I AM SOOOO TICKLED!!! :L: :L: :L: :D :D :D

All comments are welcome. I know my pic's are not to good thats because my old lady took them LOL. Has anyone mounted the ESC on the front of the chasiss??
Who said it looks bad. The old lady is much better than you in taking fotos, it seems...haha just kidding. BTW, this truck is the most shining truck I've seen in a while and it looks aewsome, indded.:L:
your first rc! wow! thats a good first rc lol. Looks real nice when its new and shinny aye! take heaps of pics before you drive it lol, wish i did. Now mine isnt very shinny.
It looks great!!
:D |
Very Nice!!!
Are you gonna go BL or stay titans/evx for now? Those are nice shocks but dont be too dependable on them as they can bend quite easily. So far so good, looks awesome! |
I would not run the sluminum body post. They are hard on the body and if you land on the top you bend the shock towers. I like the plastic body post better. Looks good. I think you forgot the skids to. ;)
Yeah, those body posts will bend pretty soon, id switch back to plastic to prevent anything bad to happen to the body and even shock tower.
Though they look shiny and beautiful.
i would go with the plastic post with the aluminum brace tieing them together.
Thanks all, yea I am using the aluminum post just for show I will put plastic on when I am running it. Yes Sylvester I am going bl I will run the titans for a week or two. What about feigao 8XL and a BK 12020? The shocks are msr4 with 3.5 shafts,do you think they will bend?? Hey harlock thanks for noticing my skids were missing lol Mike is sending a set of FLM's should be here anytime? Can anyone remind me how to put the steering system on? It's been awhile sence I took the old one off :o
Maybe they will bend, depends how you drive, i destroyed 2 of my msr5 shocks with 3.5 shafts.
As for the steering system are you talking about somthing like this? http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...UE13601&cat=48 |
Yea it's like that one but chepper I got mine from team bluestar.
Well whats there to not know? Assemble it like its suppose to look like, than there is 2 holes on the skidplate which support it and 2 upper holes to screw it in, if your confused, take a pic and ill try to take you step-by-step.
Well my problem is that the bottom of the chasiss has two large holes where the servo saver mounts. Is that for bearings or what?
nope it is for clearence. If the chassis was flat it would no be enough room for the post to go.
Please take a picture, my chassis ships Monday and I would love to know.
Yeah, please, for me as well.
I got some pictures of my stearing system. I have been trying to figure out how this fits for houres. HELP!! :C: :o
This is the linkage I got from Team Bluestar.
Heres one with the servo in.
you got to put the screws in from the top of the chassis and into the two posts to hold it there.
Don't work, linkage hits driveshaft

It sounds like theres something wrong. Does this pic help?

The turnbuckles attach on top of the linkage and on the bottom of the knuckles. It sounds like you have them under the linkage?
http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...9/DSCN1859.JPG |
not to mention if your turnbuckles are in the wrong spot top when supposed to be on bottom or visa versa, it will change your suspension geometry and will make your toe in or out change as it goes up and down and mike bind....
i have my turnbuckles on top of the knuckle cause they hit the shock if i put them at the bottom
Do you have a pic of it on the truck basketti?
sorry i dont have a digi camera here.
I almost got it . I think all I need to do is change the servo arm.
What were you doing wrong before? yep you need a solid servo arm, not one with a spring in it. Glad you got it sorted :)
