Another Great Engineering Game
Inginuity Welcome "coconut run"- http://www.ingenuitywelcome.com/game/
Been playing it for almost a year now in school. Its a pretty addicting game. My fastest time was 14 seconds with 14/15 coconuts. Fastest recorded record is 9 seconds with 15/15 coconuts. Please share your scores. |
Got my 100%!!!
|
so far Ive gotten 15/15 80% efficiency in 34 sec
awesome game, I love it |

That is a very addicting game! Lots of fun for sure. So far my best is 95% 18s 15/15.
Now 98% 17s 15/15 with a self-closing lid. |

IDK if its just me but its seems if you can manage to make a platform solidy locked to the wheels and then make a basket which has shocks mounted to the lower solid axle it tends to move alot faster.
Like this... http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...nRCU/cart1.jpg And my fastest one yet which made 14secs along time ago was something like this. I still was not able to completely copy it in order to make it perform just as well as before. I also put a wheel on the top supported by shocks and a stick attached to the wheel which closes the hatch on top to somewhat help keep the coconuts in while bouncing. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n...nRCU/cart2.jpg |
15s 14/15 93% :P
14s 15/15 100% :D |
Doesn't seem to work too well for me. The fastest I can get the cart to go regardless of the coconuts is like 35-40 seconds. I watched some youtube video and the cart goes wayy faster on those. What am I doing wrong?
|
14 sec, 15/15
|
13 sec 15/15
|
Metal- the less amount of objects, the faster. Also dont use super big or super small wheels.
|
Thanks, I'll give that a try.
|
15/15 100% Eff, in 13 Seconds!
Same method as with RC: low cg is king ;) http://xs537.xs.to/xs537/09135/johnson981.jpg |
12 sec 15/15 cool
|
I have lag. Even the coconuts fall slowly... Cant get anything to get past in under 30-40 seconds.
I did find something funny though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqBaBN07gos&NR=1 |
.15x 14/15 = 93% :intello:
|
Best time I got was 23 15/15. How the heck are you guys getting across the course so fast? Even If I dont care about the nuts, I cent even get the car to the finish faster than 23 seconds.
its starting to piss me off.:grrrrrr: Cool game though. |
Ive actually seen 0 seconds with 15/15 coconuts. You can build a mechanism that will extract the coconuts out the top of the drop chute and into your cart. Theres many crazy vids on youtube showing how to do this.

bigger wheels help get you there faster but too big and it hinders the performance
|
also internet speed plays a big part too
|
Took me 19 seconds and I was just racing a wheel to see how fast I could go :diablo:
|
14s 15/15 100%
im so proud of myself... |
This game is hilarious! I did pretty good with 15/15 in 12sec with 3 different designs, but I can't get any faster than that without wiping out.
|
Anyone ever try fantasticcontraption.com?
|
the fastest Ive been able to go is: 28s 15/15 87%
|
Got 8 seconds with just a wheel.
Highest I got was 99% 15/15 - 15% |

I played around with the wheel size, wheelbase, and suspension and managed 15/15 in 10 sec. (larger wheels work better IMO).
|
I am able to score around %75% with 15/15, and anybody can score 100 if they try hard enough, so I thought of creating something a little different... It doesnt carry any coconuts, but it was one of my fastest carts running the map...

Lolololol
|
Possible warthawg?
|
My Tank
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/untitled.jpg It takes over 3 minutes to complete the course. It gets 15/15 with 0% efficiency. It is, however, badass. |
Gah, how do you guys get the wheel sizes all the same size!?
|
I used the grid in the background.
|
grid

Well the internet speed definatley makes a huge difference in your times.. I built the same cart that would give me 15/15 in around 38 seconds at home with verizon DSL(~765kbps down), and at work (T1 connection, buku speed) and I was able to get 14 seconds, which is the slowest 100% efficiency time
