Servo intersecting with 8 cell pack

I noticed that my steering servo saver is rubbing hard against the batteries in my gmaxx CF chassis. Over the time period of about a month my batteries has been worn down to the metal. Anyway i can stop this?
thanks

can you show us some pics of the problem?

Put some spacers under the steering servo to raise it up away from the batteries.

k, thanks

RC-Monster Mike 02.27.2005 08:55 PM

No problem. I had the same issue in the past!

Sylvester 02.27.2005 10:07 PM

well i wont worry cause i use 7 cells :)

A spacer is the easiest way to address this.
Most aftermarket servos come with grommet spacers.

Another option, you might consider - upgrading to a better servo saver (like the proline kit) this would take care of it also.

Unfortunately, pro-line has discontinued their maxx servo saver. I am trying to discover another in the same price range!

gorillamaxx 02.27.2005 10:42 PM

Any idea why?

RC-Monster Mike 02.27.2005 10:52 PM

No idea! It was a great product. I assume they are focusing on the Revo, like everyone else. I picked up a MGT servo saver (Golden Horizons) from another distributor a couple days ago to see if I can make it work. I have quite a few of the Proline savers (on my trucks), but I want to find a nice product for my customers.

Superemaxx89 02.27.2005 10:52 PM

UE makes a killer servo saver.

I think why proline discontinued their products is because they come out with a new product every month or so and they don't want to get their inventory too large. They select the products that they discontinue by seeing their sales, and since the proline steering kit didn't fit well in maxxes, it got discontinued. Just a guess.

RC-Monster Mike 02.27.2005 11:21 PM

I agree the UE servo saver is killer, but it costs almost twice what the proline costs.

Superemaxx89 02.27.2005 11:27 PM

everything UE makes cost 2x as much as proline! (except shocks):D

RC-Monster Mike 02.27.2005 11:38 PM

So true! Their stuff is top notch, but it isn't cheap.

Sylvester 02.28.2005 08:53 AM

yup, and they dont ship worldwide :( but who cares :)?

Superemaxx89 02.28.2005 07:44 PM

they don't ship world wide because of international fraud. If i owned a company like that i would do the same.

Now that i think of it, UE can be compared to buying a soda at a baseball game...

Since your trapped, and there are no other places to go, you are forced to buy a $8 Coke. There is no compition since you can't leave the stadium and all the other stores within the stadium sell at the same price.

Kinda' like UE. Though their parts are expensive, they can increase the prices as much as they want because you are trapped. No one makes parts as strong or as 'performancy' than UE, they are basically a monopoly. No one else in the rc market makes a VBS type thing, no one else makes a Racer X type thing (that has good strength), no one this, no one that, bla bla bla.

Sylvester 02.28.2005 08:08 PM

well it doesnt matter to me too much because if i need somthing from UE than i can just ask mike to get it for me :)
