Supermaxx Lightning discontinued?

The Supermaxx Lightning is not on the site anymore. Is it discontiued? Anyone know why?

Serum 01.12.2006 06:04 PM

It looks like it!

though i found a company in Germany that still sells them.

Papa 01.12.2006 06:20 PM

Robin may make more in the future. Right now he is putting his efforts " money" into the Razorback.

captain harlock 01.13.2006 07:12 AM

Probably he knew some hw that the lightning chassis wont be selling very good because the FLM chassis has arrived with a very low and affordable prices. Who knows?!:)

Papa 01.13.2006 07:16 AM

:L: You are kidding right?:L: Uh..... no... HOwever Robin is perfecly aware of the power of brushless and it is more likely that you will see a brushless version of tthe RAZORback............Woo Hoo...

captain harlock 01.13.2006 07:27 AM

Well, hope him best of luck.:)

Dafni 01.13.2006 07:32 AM

 Here it comes: A Razorback chassis (single-shaft 2-speed center diff) modified for BL/Lipo, with G2R front/rear ends! OMG what a daydream!

Papa 01.13.2006 08:37 AM

CHeck out this video of the Razor. . Thats what I am talking about!

Dafni 01.13.2006 08:51 AM

It is nice to dream isn't it.

captain harlock 01.13.2006 01:36 PM

Is this something real or just a concept?

Nick 01.13.2006 01:57 PM

That needs to be electric. End of.

captain harlock 01.13.2006 02:11 PM

Well, is it gonna come out any time soon.

Papa 01.13.2006 02:34 PM

No.

captain harlock 01.13.2006 02:40 PM

Is it something relating to the e-maxx?

Sneeck 01.13.2006 02:42 PM

Yea right, it supposed to be out for 2 year's allready.

IF it will be out, it will be a limited edition and be expensive. As well as limited part supply.

Don't hold your breath on this. I deffinatly think it rock's and if the price is right i'll get one. But it can take a while before being sold.

Papa 01.13.2006 02:45 PM

No sense in getting you hopes up there Capt. .This thing has been in the planning stages for a very long time. There have been a few proto-type generations that where released to a select few by invitation only. Many people hope that they will become available to us commoners before the arthritis sets in.:L:
Look away folks there is nothing to see here.

Sneeck 01.13.2006 02:45 PM

The only thing special about the razor is it's chassis. The rest(vbs and racer x etc) are normal maxx part's.

Papa 01.13.2006 02:46 PM

...and the center diff.

captain harlock 01.13.2006 02:47 PM

Then, just forget about it and concentrate on my project, right?

Papa 01.13.2006 02:48 PM

It has kept many up for sleepless nights. Don't get yourself on that list.

Sneeck 01.13.2006 02:50 PM

There was actually a razor sold a few day's ago. But for you to get one anytime soon, I doubt it. Also if you plan to get one when they are out, start saving your penny's. It won't be cheap.

captain harlock 01.13.2006 02:51 PM

Okay. You surley seethed up my blood.:L:

I heard the whole roller would be $2500.

captain harlock 01.14.2006 06:53 AM

2500....2500.....but its a complete roller, correct? everything is there already, but then again...2500 is a bit of a pain.

Nick 01.14.2006 08:39 AM

I think he should try getting them produced in one of the industrial intense countries, such as China, he would cut costs loads than doing them in the US.

$2500 is too much hopefully the main chassis will be alot less but you can probably work that out, as everything else is already on sale, just detuct it from 2.5k.

captain harlock 01.14.2006 09:59 AM

Home made parts are always the best. China would cut the costs, but you will not find the lovely finishing and flavour of UE anymore.

Sneeck 01.14.2006 11:38 AM

Can't you see what Robin is doing? He doesn't want a full production razor. Only a few will be made. Like an original, limited edition, high quality truggy.

captain harlock 01.14.2006 11:59 AM

Forget it...forget it...forget it........FOR..GET IIIIIIIIIIIIIT

Serum 01.14.2006 12:18 PM

@Sneeck;

Therefor he can charge rediculous prices and people will buy them. Makes sense.

$w!ft 01.24.2006 06:14 AM

can an1 explain to me what the razoback actually is? Is it a chassis for the revo? but it uses tmaxx suspension....

Or is it a new chassis for the t-maxx that is better then the dace predator?

And hes including a custom made tranny in this too right.

RC-Monster Mike 01.24.2006 10:41 AM

The razorback is a truggy. several years in the making.

$w!ft 01.24.2006 11:57 AM

for which chassis? or it is its own car with all UE parts?

coolhandcountry 01.24.2006 12:57 PM

It is a ue chassis. uses maxx style parts.

Serum 01.24.2006 01:39 PM

It's meant for nitro, and for the UE VBS system.

it's the mother of all truggies.

$w!ft 01.24.2006 03:45 PM

ah but 2000$ a set for a person that not a pure racer isnt worth it for me.

squeeforever 01.24.2006 06:20 PM

im pretty sure 2k is for the roller with ue vbs and racer x suspension from what i have heard. which isnt THAT expensive.

$w!ft 01.24.2006 07:46 PM

i dunno. Still its 1000 pounds which is quite a bit.

crazyjr 01.24.2006 07:50 PM

I saw two on ebay a couple of weeks ago and the but it now price was $2500
