I'd get two 16mm x 2.5mm O-rings and insert one on either side.

Or get some 16mm x 15mm x 0.5mm shims...

Or turn some 16mm x 15mm x 2.5mm spacers on a lathe...

won't d shim damage the diff bearing holder or bearings?Where can I get these shims? Is moving d center mount easiler? Just drill 2 holes nearer to d diff?

brushlessboy16 05.07.2009 07:39 AM

no shimms are the same outside diameter as the bearing and dont hurt anything.

If you go with shims your going to need a good bit of them.

Do I did to shim both sides or just 1 side will do?

brushlessboy16 05.07.2009 09:37 AM

Sure I will try today thx guys:)

RC-Monster Mike 05.07.2009 10:50 AM

I would shim both side an equal amount.

superek4 05.07.2009 12:06 PM

It needed 8 shim each side I wonder if d bearing sits enough in d mount?

RC-Monster Mike 05.07.2009 12:08 PM

It will be fine - now go drive it already! :)

superek4 05.07.2009 12:22 PM

yes sir! One last question d diff is still moving sideway slightly like 1mm izzit ok?

RC-Monster Mike 05.07.2009 01:00 PM

1mm play is OK. .5mm is better. A little play is better than too tight. Have you run it yet!?

superek4 05.07.2009 01:07 PM

thx, I will run it in d morning now it's 1am in Singapore :) zzzzz. I will post here for the review I m sure I will happy:)

I tried the diff today very nice no more wheelie even on 6s. I was running on slightly damp ground abt med traction. I allow abit more slip, more slip means more sound right?

Do I need to threadlock d screw after I set d slip I want?

I m not sure izzit my gear ratio or I m using a 11T pinion, the speed is abit slower. I will test it again on 13t.

I also notice d motor gets hotter faster.

I was told to use 8x16 bearings sand off the outer sleeves n use it as a spacer as the shims will eat into d housing izzit true?

So far very happy a new tuning tool:)

brushlessboy16 05.07.2009 10:34 PM

Sounds like your slipper is too loose.
The shims will be fine in the housing.

Try tightening the slipper a bit until you get your acceleration and speed back

superek4 05.07.2009 11:26 PM

Ok I try tom again thx alot. I can't wait n my wife is complaining:(

brushlessboy16 05.08.2009 09:31 AM

superek4 05.08.2009 09:53 AM

Thx for the picture, I will tune according to that. A pix speaks a thousand words:)

superek4 05.09.2009 09:55 AM

I hv tried the slip diff today, tighten to the pix. No wheelie but still fast. The diff has to be tighten twice dunno y, the first time the diff can't b tighten, after running I managed to tighten again n screw it on.

Do I need to put lock tight?
