Quark 125B monster pro ESC

Not sure if u guys have seen this but look at the spec. 125A continous and 300A surge!! Look like a nice controller

http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro...90.0.0.0.0.0.0

I just like the way it looks with the esc case. Not like BK..Not sure where is their base, but they have one in California. So warranty shouldnt be a problem.

boss 302 01.22.2006 01:47 AM

it looks cool and the stats look pretty good but it can only handle 18 cells

Superemaxx89 01.22.2006 02:45 AM

what do you mean only? 18 is a lot!

boss 302 01.22.2006 09:24 AM

18 cells is enough but some people like to see hom many cells they can fit onto there truck and then see how fast it will go.

maxxdude1234 01.22.2006 09:37 AM

Looks quite promising, although it could do with a few more cells for the pricetag.

phildogg 01.22.2006 10:09 AM

that doesn't look too bad to me!! also the 80amp version with 200amp peaks is only 204.00 not bad either..
phil

coolhandcountry 01.22.2006 10:55 AM

Yeah 18 cells only is not good. I like to find a 30 cell one. That would be awesome.

RC-Monster Mike 01.22.2006 10:59 AM

I have sent an inquiry to them. I have not heard of anyone actually using these controllers, so I have no idea how they perform. The specs look decent. If the performance is also decent, they may be worth carrying. I weill see if I can get one to test out. If anyonme has seen one in action, I would love some feedback on how they perform.

mothman 01.22.2006 11:57 AM

Try to download the manual for car esc, LOoks like this quark controller has a Lipo LVC..And we can choose from 3.0 to 2.4 V.

Here is the video how to proggram the esc. Looks pretty cool though

crazyjr 01.22.2006 01:41 PM

looks easy enough

boss 302 01.22.2006 02:32 PM

i agree with you crazy it looks very easy

MetalMan 01.23.2006 11:21 AM

I've read from the company on another forum that this controller uses a different type of software to govern the firing of the 3 phases. According to Quark, this controller works with RPMs lower than what Schulze controllers can handle!

boss 302 01.23.2006 06:08 PM

sounds like a good deal to me

crazyjr 02.23.2006 10:51 AM

An update on this esc. MR Constructor is testing these esc's and here is a thread with some good info for those interested http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/s...d.php?t=214993

maxxdude1234 02.23.2006 04:23 PM

Cheers for the link crazy. Some interesting stuff on there...

Serum 02.23.2006 05:17 PM

we can only wish
if there was one it would be in my truck right know

coolhandcountry 02.23.2006 09:56 PM

You sure 300 amps would be enough. It may not. :D 36 cells to. Seems a little low.

Hey that would be an awesome controller though. It would kick some serious buttocks.

boss 302 02.23.2006 09:58 PM

just hope that it doesnt have a real low rpm limit if it ever comes out. it would be a really sweet controller

coolhandcountry 02.23.2006 10:17 PM

Yeah I know what you saying. I have to restrict myself to a maxx of 30 cells. be nice to get 36 on it.

boss 302 02.23.2006 10:19 PM

that would be awesome and then you could test the full potential of your motor and maybe just maybe get to the 100mph mark. that would be sweet but we can only dream

coolhandcountry 02.23.2006 10:28 PM

Yeah. I have to keep dreaming. Maybe that 100mph mark will come to me. When there is a will there is a way. Just have to find it or the funds for it.

crazyjr 02.24.2006 03:24 AM

I thought the controler in question had a cell limit of 18 cells, or did you guys change controlers on me

boss 302 02.24.2006 07:59 AM

were dreaming about another one that is yet to be invented.

coolhandcountry 02.24.2006 10:52 AM

I think we got off in dream land for a little.

Serum 02.24.2006 01:55 PM

20 is enough to reach nice speed.. above 100 km/h with good cells..

I ordered the MGM 16024, capable of 8S lipo, 160A continues.. how sweet..

coolhandcountry 02.24.2006 02:43 PM

When do you plan to test this serum? I like to see the results.

Serum 02.24.2006 03:20 PM

As soon as i receive them Leroy.!

need to order some cells, still having doubts if i should run it on 20,22 or 24 cells.

maxxdude1234 02.25.2006 09:15 AM

......No brainer isn't it Serum? 24!!!!!.......

boss 302 02.25.2006 09:29 AM

what motor are you going to use?

Serum 02.25.2006 10:48 AM

2250/10 (should be here any day, i started harrasing the postman yesterday)

20 cells should be enough to get it running at 60 mph. It will be in my centerdiff converted savage.

boss 302 02.25.2006 10:51 AM

awesome
i want one

Serum 02.25.2006 10:56 AM

Order it.. It's in stock at BK..

boss 302 02.25.2006 11:00 AM

i dont have the $$$ otherwise i would

Dagger Thrasher 02.25.2006 03:15 PM

I really like the look of the 80A Quark Competition controller. It having a case is a big plus point for me...it might just be an alternative to the 9920 when I go BL.

And Serum...that 16024 sounds like a monster! Definitely post on how she performs when you get the chance. :)

coolhandcountry 02.25.2006 04:09 PM

Well it will take all of them serum if you going with that lehner. I started low and worked my way up. That away it would not have as much chance of frying before noticing a problem. The motor works will on 20. It just gets more powerful from there.

Serum 02.25.2006 04:16 PM

I will get an eagletree Country
