Dream Monster!!!

Hi Everybody!!!
What would be your Dream Monster Truck?
Chassis,BL Combo,Drivetrain,Etc?
What expectations from it?:devil

Rcbros 01.23.2006 12:45 AM

My dream truck would right now be stock forum of something lol

Seems like the more $$ I put into trucks the more often they break.

Anyone else experience this?

psycho 01.23.2006 01:07 AM

Sure, me too!! I buy a RTR, got a lot of fun, then I began to modify it and drive it the less.
But it seems that I never learn!!!:devil

camel_rc 01.23.2006 01:11 AM

My dream monster would be a monster GT with a Warrior/Feigao 8xl combo and 14 IB4200 cells. :drools:

crazyjr 01.23.2006 02:53 AM

Mine is half done. I have a Revo with a gorilla G2R chassis. the future will have a bk or mgm controler, a lehner 1940/8 motor, a 6s lipo setup and controled by a Nomadio sensor radio

dabid 01.23.2006 03:59 AM

My problem is that the stuff that I make or bolt onto my vehicles that wasn't original always lets me down, usually the stock stuff is fine.

Anyway, I've almost got my dream monster, I just have to assemble it. Savage SS with Feigao 9L and 9920, FLM's extended LCG chassis plates, servo plate, and center skid. I can't wait to get it running, the last time I ran this truck the tranny was kinda garbaged up and restricting power, can't wait to see what it'll do on 14 cells!

Nick 01.23.2006 04:34 AM

Papas is my dream truck, lol. :D

Thats EXACTLY like me! i just spent loads on my aluminum maxx and my stock savage held up heaps better! I just went out with my maxx and reversed into the curb real slow and broke a turnbuckle end, i know its nothin expensive but its annoying! cause i didnt have any spares! now i want a savage 4.6 with some mean radio gear but noone wants to trade one for my maxx!!

so my dream truck would be

-savage 4.6 kit
-nice radio gear with good servos!
-some 23mm hexs
-40 series big joes or something similar
-6volt hump pack

So if anyone has something similar to that they can swap it for my maxx if they want, its a good deal!

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 01.23.2006 05:34 AM

My dual BL g-maxx, but instead of the 28 nimhs I would have two 5s LiPo packs.

MetalMan 01.23.2006 11:23 AM

Mine would be a G2R with a BK XL motor, Warrior 9920, and Lipo.

Sneeck 01.23.2006 11:42 AM

My flamemaxx w/ a few more mod's i've got in my mind atm. Hope it will be done before the get together.

psycho 01.23.2006 12:32 PM

I had my Savage running bone stock for a couple of months, huge fun. Then I began to "upgrade" it and still not return from the bench. Same fate with the Mamba 18T!!!
Still not learn, as I am planning to upgrade the EZilla, or Should I say sideline it???

captain harlock 01.23.2006 12:33 PM

First of all, NIIIIIIICE decorations you've added to the forum and site.

My dream truck would be:

An e-maxx built out of platinum and all steel gears and diffs with two 2280/8 motors and two micro 36150 and 16-18 lipo cells. I would really like to go 100-120 mph with a big truck.

Serum 01.23.2006 01:20 PM

I am living my own dream.. :p

got a few trucks that scare me to drive (too pretty imo) (don't know what got into me either..)

I am building a bashmonster (savage K4,6, diff mods, 11XL 20 IB3800's 9920 controller and 23 mm hexes with dirtbonz tires on offset dish rimms)

It might be pretty, but i don't want to feel bad about driving it, when i beat the s of the poor thing..

my dream truck would be truck any truck that i could drive without having to worry about breaking it. and then to top it all of put a 3080 in it      :D :D :D

coolhandcountry 01.23.2006 09:29 PM

If i get my truck to run right. I should have my dream truck. I had your dream truck camel. Monster gt with a 9xl and 14 cells. It was a nice truck. I traded it off for a gmaxx. I also have a 4.6 savage with the nice radio and servos. I don't want to trade though. Sorry buddy. I used to have some problem with breaking stuff up on my maxx until I went to the good stuff. I haven't broken much of anything.

Re~Mix 01.23.2006 09:41 PM

I would have to say my dream truck is Mike's lightweight racing truck. I haven't seen many pictures of it, but I know that it's SICK.

Otherwise. G2R Revo, lightweight modifications, 6s lipo, 1930 Lehner Motor, BK Micro controller. ohh and a spektrum w/ a JR 8550 I believe. that should do it.

nbcaznmaster 01.23.2006 09:52 PM

does teh parts have to be acutally PURCHASEBE parts? How about an all titanium e-revo. With dual lehner 30series and like 2 10000mah lipos. like 18.8vl with some way ot make everythign 100% watter proof, so i cna drive it underwater. And the most advnace coolign system. lol...this is too much of a dream, and less of a possible reality.

sorry to say it but it would have to have like 20s lipo to get one of those motors to turn....

boss 302 01.24.2006 08:04 AM

and your truck would have to be huge to handle all of the batteries and electronics

coolhandcountry 01.24.2006 09:19 AM

most people want the 30 series motor. It is one huge motor. Most trucks can't take the power of the 22series. My dream is to have more power than you need and havea long run time to. The truck must be pretty fast as well. It does not have to look pretty. Just look nice. Once you drive it around some in gravel and stuff if won't look pretty but so long. I have just about got that truck.

The driving under water part would be cool. How would you see it though?

i agree a truck doesnt have to be pretty just look nice because if u drive it, it will just get scracthed up and what is the point of having a truck if you dont drive it

nbcaznmaster 01.24.2006 05:29 PM

u dont have to worry about scratches with titanium parts! Maybe not even use titanium! maybe i can use them super light/super strong spaceship alloys! mauhahaah. I'll have a minautre nuclear reactor in my rc car to power it! that would bee cool!

althogh that would be cool to have a nuclear reactor in your truck it would be a big health and safety hazard   so you wouldnt be able to bash it or run it for that matter but it would still be cool to hav the first nuclear powered rc vehicle :p :p :p

coolhandcountry 01.24.2006 08:25 PM

I could see the crash with a mushroom cloud now. :p Whip out the whole neighborhood. I don't know if the titanium nicks or not by a flying rock at 60mph. It damages most any kind of metal.

nbcaznmaster 01.24.2006 08:27 PM

i sassume ti wouldnt;. I'll upgrade to the super strong alloy anyway. Lol, i'll needd heavy duty lipso ot withsand any impacts. My car would survie, but how much use woudl ti be on fire?

lipomax 01.25.2006 01:31 AM

I'm in the process of building it right now...

Emaxx
G Maxx carbon fiber extended chassis
G maxx suspension
7.5 6 spyder diff setup
Hybrid bulks
T Bonz
6s 3200 Kokam, 8s 3500 polyquest, or 10s 4400 polyquest (depending on how fast I wanna go)
RPM steering blocks with large bearings
Lunsford 4mm ti-rods
Robinson racing slipper clutch
Fastlane shock towers
ProLine shock absorbers
Spektrum radio
Some airtronics 200 oz .10 60 servo
HD servo saver
Schulze 24.89 with 6.0 volt UBEC (good only to 8s lipo)
Genesis Truck (only good to 4s lipo)
Motor? Only the Basic XL 1200, 1600, 2400 so far...

Sneeck 01.25.2006 01:55 AM

Scratch those rpm bearing knuckle's. They will wear after time causing the bearing's to wobble.

coolhandcountry 01.25.2006 09:12 AM

I would buy the integy knuckles over the rpm. I have had both and the integy is much better.

lipomax 01.25.2006 10:05 AM

modification to my maxx:

UE CVDs - no T Bonz
Thanks for the info on the RPM knuckles. When they get sloppy, I'll change them.

Dafni 01.25.2006 02:59 PM

I have never been afraid to drive my trucks. If something breakes, it gets fixed, and scratches just add flavour! :)

Dream truck is pretty much what I'm building now, I call it the G3R :) because it has 3 diffs.
But in my dreams it has 1/8 diffs front and rear too, a telemetry radio, and instead of Lipos it would have a fuel cell!! Watch out boys!
The Lehner could stay, though.

:D Cheers

DAF
