bulkless question

OK, so im a little confused on this whole bulkless thing. When i get the bulkless setup for my E-Maxx, what will i need exactly to make the 7.5 8 spider diff's work? Do i just need the gear set or the SuperMaxx UltraLite 7.5 Differential Kit, 8 Spyder.
~~Thanks

Just get the UE kit, all the needed goodies are included, including the right drivecups.

You might experience some trouble with the length of the drivecup, when you use normal 1/8th diffs. (i know that the normal ofna 7.5 8spider drivecups are too short, the dogbone/CVD is too far out.)

coolhandcountry 01.23.2006 08:35 PM

I have not had this problem serum. I have the ofna diffs with the cvds. Seem to work great.

markland556 01.24.2006 03:05 AM

so wait.. if i get the bulkless hybrid, do i need just the gear set or the whole diff casing kit made by UE??

Basketti 01.24.2006 03:15 AM

you only need the gears and diff, not the diff housing. The flm hybrid bulk is the bulkhead+ the diff housing in one.

markland556 01.24.2006 03:28 AM

So all i need are:
(2) FLM Bulkless hybrids
(2) Differential Gear Set, 7.5, 8 Sypder

Basketti 01.24.2006 03:35 AM

i think the hybrids come in a set of front and rear? But yes all u need is the 8 spider gear set and the hybrid bulks

coolhandcountry 01.24.2006 10:03 AM

The flm comes as a set.

markland556 01.26.2006 04:58 PM

thanks, what CVD's will i need. Im getting the Integy Racer X suspension.

RC-Monster Mike 01.26.2006 05:01 PM

MIP or UE cvds are needed. UEs work the best, though(a little longer).

Serum 01.26.2006 05:41 PM

get a set of booties for those UE's. it prevents them from wearing. and use a good dry lubrication. (you can find it in your bicycle store)

markland556 01.26.2006 05:49 PM

are these the ones i shoud get??

coolhandcountry 01.26.2006 05:58 PM

those will work. http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...ml?id=mgqFMC2k these will work to. I run these with the integy pro 3.

Serum 01.26.2006 06:01 PM

6 and 8 same price? that's weird.

markland556 01.26.2006 10:18 PM

Where can i find the UE EXT center driveshafts?? Nobody has them in stock.

coolhandcountry 01.26.2006 10:28 PM

either will work. It is your choice.

captain harlock 01.27.2006 08:35 AM

Leroy, did the 7.5 diffs fit in the FLM hybrids without any sort of trouble or modifications? I hate to do mods on things I've to pay so much on it to get.

coolhandcountry 01.27.2006 10:51 AM

My diffs went right in with no problems. I had no mods to do and the didn't have to shim either. They fit like it was made for it.

captain harlock 01.27.2006 07:38 PM

You got the latest of the Hybrids? I think there are a few versions of them.

coolhandcountry 01.27.2006 08:24 PM

I got them a few months ago or so. Not sure on exact date.

mmdooley 01.27.2006 08:40 PM

If their not right FLM will swap them out. I had to swap mine no problems.

coolhandcountry 01.27.2006 09:06 PM

They are right dooley. They have no problems. I been running them some for a while.

mmdooley 01.27.2006 09:18 PM

I had to swap mine but when I got them together they are awesome. I am running the 6 spider set up.
