http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=479271
And they're actually in stock at Tower...for now. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXWEP2**&P=ML http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXWEP1**&P=ML |
Ugg. Almost $300? I think I'll stick to the larger models...
|
Don't forget the handy codes for super saver members at Tower. Mine will be coming in at $235 (Slash) and $240 (E-Revo) shipped.

I wish they would sell a battery less model. I guess I could sell the battery and charger over at the traxxas forum... |

1/10 is small enough for me.... |
I just got the confirmation for mine too...came out to be 240 shipped to my door for the E-Revo. They say my order is being packaged or whatever in the warehouse.
I plan to sell the stock battery and charger on the Traxxas forum. I figure I can get about 25 shipped for it all pretty easily. Time to order my lipo's. |
Man your late on ordering. I know a guy out here has 3 sets of lipos waiting for his mini revo... He bought these 2 months ago!

I'm trying to pick between the Revo VXL and the Hyper STe. I want something bigger than my RC18T but not quite 1/10...

Wait, you got warning points for selling a Rustler VXL and including a lipo with it? According to the Traxxas rules (unless they were changed) any aftermarket thing that is INCLUDED with the truck is fine. You just can't sell the battery separate.
|
yes i did, that forum is a joke, i got banned without even knowing what i did!
|
Guys, let's chill with the other forum/site bashing, we don't want another closed thread, now do we?

I'm in for a mini E-Revo sometime...I need to stop running hundreds of dollars worth of "non-waterproof" electronics in the snow. My Mambas, motors, and SR3000s have all been tough little troopers so far but if one fails that's an expensive screw up.

Not only have I generally been wanting a (capable) mini after selling my 18T (I loved the 18T, but it was just too finicky on anything other than pavement cause of the ground clearance), and the E-Revo seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Furthermore, I've been meaning to just buy a bashing truck (I never ran my G2R or CRT.5 in the snow out of fear that the cold and moisture would cause too much damage too easily), but all of the waterproof Traxxas models were either brushed or 2wd. But this little mini fits perfectly - 4wd and brushless! However, knowing that the stock electronics would probably not be up to my standards, I have already gone ahead and purchased a Neu 1112/2D (3250KV) and plan to run this on 4S lipo in conjunction with my spare Mamba Max (overkill ESC wise, but I already have one so it doesn't cost me anything to run it). I will be reserving the Traxxas system for wet weather running (during which I will run it on 2S2P rather than 4S). |
Exactly. It's waterproof and should be capable. I'm hoping to keep mine stock as long as possible, I've got better things to spend money on right now. I've been looking for a Mini for a while and 18T was looking like the best bet until these came around.
|
Well, bad news for other mini owners is that demand (and therefore residual value) for other mini's is going to fall significantly now that the 1/16 E-Revo and Slashes have hit the streets.
|
That is why I'm so happy that I'm trading my RC18T FT for a Revo 2.5 Conversion. It's a homebrew conversion and it needs some parts but it's still worth it IMO.
