What's it worth?

Note: Mods, this is not a FS thread. I just want to make sure I'm not completely out of touch with what I think it's worth.

What would you guys say it's worth, shipping included?

Jammin X1-CR FTE
RCM Motor Mount
RC Product Designs Ultimate Batt tray
Ofna Pillow Ball Conversion
Pro-Line Bowties

Based of of my last few weeks at the track (my friends jammin is jammin while my kyosho keeps breaking) I would pay you your asking price... to bad I am about to be laid off....

AKA, I think it is worth what you want for it... try ebay?

jnev 06.17.2009 03:20 PM

The price you had up on RC-Tech was very reasonable in my opinion. I honestly don't know why know one bought it... I expected it to be sold pretty quickly.

nitrostarter 06.17.2009 03:31 PM

Man, I don't know why its not selling, I just let one go for $150 shipped this week.

magman 06.17.2009 06:19 PM

I agree, your asking price on RC Tech is more than fair. I actually showed a couple of friends your add, but like everyone these days, money is tight

hootie7159 06.17.2009 07:54 PM

eBay it...and raise the price to cover eBay/paypal fees...nothing wrong with your price but you'll have a larger buyers market through eBay than on forums....did you list on rcgroups.com as well??

whitrzac 06.17.2009 08:04 PM

Pm sent!!!!

Snipin_Willy 06.17.2009 08:12 PM

I can't believe I just spend more than that on parts for my truggy. If it had been an RC8 I would have been sold on it.

gtxracer 06.17.2009 08:54 PM

Your asking prices are more than fair. In fact, they're awesome for a converted buggy. Things are just way too bad right now. I'm trying to sell an RC8 I just picked up but decided to race a truggy instead. I just sold my MGT for less than half what I bought it for, and I'm not including the extra stuff I put in it. :( Things suck all around right now.

E-Revonut 06.17.2009 09:00 PM

Prices are incredible! I would def buy one if I had a Jammin truggy. I'm looking to pick up a RC8 though since a lot of parts are compatible w/ my truggy, then I don't need spares for 2 completely different vehicles. I know it sucks but be patient, they will sell at those price, or as mentioned, tack on about an extra $20-30 and put them on ebay.

lincpimp 06.17.2009 09:26 PM

Dibs...

Snipin_Willy 06.17.2009 10:07 PM

Or it could be that you posted them for sale on a forum before asking RCM'ers if they wanted dibs.

whitrzac 06.17.2009 10:14 PM

Good snag whitrzac, should make a great race buggy for ya...!

nitrostarter 06.18.2009 01:56 AM

Yep, the Jammin is a great basher and darn good racer! I've had some success on the track with mine. And it flies great! Especially on a cardboard ramp, it flies clean over streets and into fences.... lol well at least mine did at linc's shop!

You might want to look into the 2.0 upgrades, makes it even better...

I think the problem comes in when we can't bump it up. I realize its not a For sale section. But most people don't look far back so they may miss a FS thread.
I think the problem on RCtech is that people are looking for other makes like Losi....

I'll verify that. He offered it to me to help my B'in Law with his ever troublesome E-maxx. I thought it was a fair price - but at the time it was still more than my B'in Law had to spend. I didnt see how much you officially put it for sale for, but I'm sure it wasn't much different that the price you told me.

Just a random thought here. I've always been frustrated with the pricing we typically see on used RC stuff. On one hand I think the typical age group that we have in the hobby doesnt have enough real life experience to understand depreciation, and that same age group jumps on used equipment just because they can save 10-20% over new. This keeps the used values somewhat higher than they really should be.

I have to agree with that as well. Some items just about sell for what it costs new with a good coupon code from Tower. I just don't understand why people pay that much for some used items.

On the other hand, as a seller, it's frustrating knowing that you're sitting on a vehicle that was in the $4-500 range new, has over $100 in upgrade parts on it and an electric conversion kit and it's getting offers on rctech of less than $100 shipped. I have to believe that some of the things going on in the used market right now are based on the economic situation.

nitrostarter 06.18.2009 10:57 AM

I think the economic situation is hurting a bunch of people right now. Its just not a good time to be selling big items like rollers and RTR's. I still see people buying up used servo, used lipo's, used parts... all under $100 items. But when it comes to big ticket items, unless they are a deal, they sit a couple days before the price gets cut or someone actually has money.

whitrzac 06.18.2009 10:46 PM

$$ sent:yes::yipi:

whats the diffrence between this buggy and the X2???
