Michael Jackson just passed away ...

Check out CNN.com.

Crazy.

JERRY2KONE 06.25.2009 06:51 PM

Weird

It is hard to believe that he was 50. Plus planning to do 20 concerts in London that were all sold out in minutes of posting sales. First Ed McMan, then Fara Fawset, and now Michael Jackson. Whos next?

Frozen72 06.25.2009 07:25 PM

I heard it and all I said was Damn!!! I can't believe it... I'm only 15 so I wasn't that old when he was huge but I still knew he was and it sucks that he had to die like that.

JERRY2KONE 06.25.2009 07:33 PM

Icon

He is definitely an icon of pop music. I grew up listening to his music and watching his videos. Thriller was a turning point for the music video entity. Even if you were not a fan of his music one must admit that he was an extremely talented performer. His life was somewhat freakish but most of the big stars in celeberity status have very weird personal issues. Qotes put his accomplishments on top of all of the music scene with record breaking accomplishments. He is still known as the artist who sold more record albums than any other music star. Something like 750million albums sold. He will be missed.

Slowkrawl 06.25.2009 07:35 PM

I am not a fan of MJ, and have my own "opinions" about him. However it is a little crazy that he is dead.

reddyteam 06.25.2009 07:54 PM

GREATEST POP STAR ever..... his music is god

rawfuls 06.25.2009 08:05 PM

Rumor has it that he died @ 12:21.
And if the doomsday is 12/21 (or was it 12/12, if it is 12, then this doesn't work..)

You know what's freaky-ish?
MJ died @ 12:21....
The world is supposed to end @ 12-21-12

Frozen72 06.25.2009 08:17 PM

Conspiracy!!!

What's_nitro? 06.25.2009 08:21 PM

What are you, some kind of philosophizer?

jayjay283 06.25.2009 08:25 PM

My wife called to tell me the news from work at th same time as I was reading this. (double whammy) sniffle.... 1st, thought he was way younger. 2. Are the beatles songs for sale back to Paul now ? 3. Hope his tiral goes well in the Neverland court of afterlife for his alleged Pedo acts or its going to be a toasty eternity. :diablo:

fkadir 06.25.2009 09:02 PM

MJ will be surely missed by millions for his genious.

aqwut 06.25.2009 10:12 PM

he's a bit crazy but no one could fill his shoes... RIP MJ

Arct1k 06.25.2009 10:17 PM

A music leader of his time but I wouldn't leave my child in a room with the guy...

BlackedOutREVO 06.25.2009 11:03 PM

He was a bit whacked. But its sad to see him die. Especially at 50

R.I.P

I thought it was supposed to be June 6th 2006? (6/6/6)?

Guess the date got bumped out a bit. :yipi:

Re: MJ.. can't say anything regarding him surprises me. Seems kinda fitting actually. Can't see him old in a nursing home, but the die-young, Elvis-like tragedy is appropriate to his legend. Prolly died from pills as well. Freaky.

Freezebyte 06.26.2009 12:29 AM

So sad, he was my music icon growing up as kid the 80's. I will always love and remember listening to Thriller for the first time back in Kindergarten when it was released.

25T will push you into redzone territory. Not only will it stress out your tranny and diffs to the max, your ESC, Lipo's and motor will be running at full crank and running very hot and you'll likely blow out your stock tires as they will balloon to the point of failure.

Uhh no, it was a heart attack.

Metallover 06.26.2009 12:33 AM

Hey! You guys remember when he dangled that baby out the window? That was just too bad... I wonder if his death was drug related??

reddyteam 06.26.2009 12:53 AM

Musical Greatness!!!

JERRY2KONE 06.26.2009 01:00 AM

Death

His death was reportedly from cardiac arrest caused by something other than natural causes, which is somewhat different from a heart attack. I believe that the media is reporting his pronounced death at something like 2:34PM. It will more than likely be reported that he died from a combination of effects such as stress, over working, and abuse of prescription medications.

Now that it has been mentioned it is kind of familiar with him dying so young just like Elvis. I guess the stresses of being such a huge star just takes it's toll on them. MJ really did do a lot of weird stuff throughout his life, but he was still on top of the musical world. He was a genious with his lyrics, his dance moves, and his business sense. Thriller was the greatest video ever produced, and he lead the way for so many others who followed. I am sure that a lot of us can mention things that he did that we did not particularly like about him, but he was still the best in the business of pop music.

fkadir 06.26.2009 02:19 AM

I remember going to his concert when I was a teen. Smooth Criminal is one of the performances that stood out during the concert. Fantastic!

e-mikey 06.26.2009 08:10 AM

Did you hear when they found him, there was a Blanket on his face?

JERRY2KONE 06.26.2009 10:57 AM

Maybe.

Or maybe it was a pillow???

nitrostarter 06.26.2009 11:12 AM

I still wish I could moon walk...

He's going to be missed tho! Its still amazing to go to clubs for 80's night and hear and see all the young people, 18-24 yrs old, go crazy when "Billy Jean" is played. He was a living legend that changed our music world as we know it.

I don't think anyone else is next for now... deaths always come in threes.

I too also want to know whats going to happen to all his beatles songs

nitrostarter 06.26.2009 12:42 PM

He had sold a couple of the beatles catalog before from what I heard. Now lets see what happens to the rest...

eovnu87435ds 06.26.2009 01:09 PM

HOLY CRAP! 23 hours since he's been dead. I just opened the iTunes Music store. The top 6 most popular albums sold on iTunes are now all Michael Jackson Albums. I guess the saying is right, you never know how many people like you 'til your dead.

ANGRY-ALIEN 06.26.2009 01:43 PM

Most artists are shown real gratitude at the point of death, especially the great ones... Michael is no exception. He is the King of Pop and will always be in my eyes.

His work has been collected by so many for the sake of owning something from this legend... Sadly many people collected his work and 'other' things pending the profits
they could earn from his passing... And you will see them all now... I don't own an LP, and I am sure it will be difficult for me to soon as the value of all things Michael will go sky high.

One song stood out yesterday during the many tributes held for him... "Gone Too Soon", It almost as if he wrote it for this day.

May he rest in peace

well, he is gone, and like elvis, will remain famous for quite a while.

Micheal Jackson has touched many......but mostly little boys  couldn't resist

_paralyzed_ 06.27.2009 05:29 PM

he was working out too hard and popping too many work out boosters for his upcoming 20 show gig and his ticker blew. In death, as in life, it was just too much.

I read once where a crazy 24yr. old fan did him when he was 10. Explains alot.

R.I.P away from me
