The "I'm Bored" thread

I'm Bored. I made a thread. Here you can post random crap or photoshopped pics or regular pics or games or videos or links or whatever.

I made an item search

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/S7301899.jpg

FIND:

-A brushed motor
-A RX (not on the micro T)
-A Center diff
-2 Hobby knives
-A pencil
-13 screwdrivers:oh:

Oh yeah, I made a handle/trigger for the spud gun today. It has a tazer ignition, so after I broke the switch in that (on accident) I extened the wires and got a momentary pushbutton switch.

BL_RV0 07.04.2009 01:43 AM

Found all of the items.

What's_nitro? 07.04.2009 01:44 AM

I found everything. Let's make it challenging next time. I'm still bored!

BL_RV0 07.04.2009 01:45 AM

Me too!

What's_nitro? 07.04.2009 01:48 AM

I have one- Let's play "Count the Dean's Plugs"! :yipi:

I count 8. Hmm???

BL_RV0 07.04.2009 01:51 AM

I count 8 as well.

Metallover 07.04.2009 01:58 AM

OK I'll make another one

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/S7301282.jpg

FIND:

My parent's names
2 sawhorses
Count the PB jars
A tennis ball
2 drills
A slingshot
A bike lock
A rear pneumatic scooter tire
A weedwacker missing a part
An orange nerf dart

oooohhhhh, the "2" in the connectors/electronics bag are actually 2 pairs, making 10 total.:na:

What's_nitro? 07.04.2009 02:07 AM

 I counted the pairs as 4 total. I missed the one behind the Tx, and apparently one somewhere else....

The two on the left are part of a parrallellaell adapter and the third plug of the apparatus is barely visible.

Without double posting; lets play "What the hell is this?!"

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...h_S7301809.jpg

So what is it?

_paralyzed_ 07.04.2009 02:40 AM

bat turned into a torch.

still bored.

Ahahha I have a tazer on my tater gun too. Sweet. Works a hell of a lot better then a grill igniter.

Metallover 07.04.2009 12:03 PM

Let's discuss spud guns. I'll make a small guide on how a spud gun should be made.

http://www.burntlatke.com/

Materials - Pressure rated pvc ONLY. ABS makes shrapnal and fails easier then pvc. Use pvc primer and cement ONLY. Let it sit overnight before firing. I recommend 1.5" for the barrell and 4" for the chamber, although I've used 3" and it works. I like 4" better though.

When designing, make sure to make a gun with the correct C:B ratio. (Chamber:Barrell) If the Chamber is too big then the shot will be loud and there will be wasted energy. If the barrell is too big then the shot will be quiet, but friction and suction will slow down the spud.

C:B calculator - http://www.burntlatke.com/ratcalc.html

C:B graph. This is using propane, and the optimum C:B ratio is .5:1 to .9:1. I think .8:1 is the accepted best overall ratio, and I use about a .7:1 so it's a little quieter in the city.

C:BGraph

For fuel, the best were found to be propane (metered) and the best aerosol is aerosol starter fluid. When using propane, you could take a torch and squirt some in without measuring it, but the educated way is to use a propane meter.

Ignition - The old BBQ ignitor works, but a stun gun is a wonderful investment. You will also want to look at a flint sparker for a lantern too. Check out the Sparker Reference Guide I've found another ignitor too - http://ultimatespudgun.com/product_i...roducts_id=219

I've bought two $16.19 shipped stun guns off of ebay. They work great and provide a large, helthy spark. They're called "STREETWISE STUN GUN". I looked now and found one for under $16 shipped. Just a heads up you'll have to open it up and disable the alarm because it a loud mofo.

Chamber fan - this is optional, but it vents exhaust gasses and circulates the fuel better, providing a better ignition.

So things to consider are ignition system, fuel system, chamber fan, and maybe a handle/trigger. I'm so bored, I'll post a link to the tazer review I took pictures for after I write it.

That's a sign that should be placed close to all roadkill, fresh or old alike.

Yeah that does read more true now, most GM owners have no idea how crappy their cars really are... Plus they are helping to keep a company afloat that should have been thrown to the wolves back in the 80s... Anyone remember the 86 bonneville? What a turd, and it was no worse than the rest of the gm lineup.. "But you can put a 350 in anything"

Snipin_Willy 07.04.2009 05:06 PM

Double post

Snipin_Willy 07.04.2009 05:08 PM

Metal: That guy does fail. You know if you buy the spinners that are made to spin up in the air without a propeller, you can throw them above a lake and they shoot down into it.
