New design 1/10 motors?

On page 35 of RC driver the add shows a new design motor in the 1/10 (middle portion) of the page, I was wondering when we can see these motors? and Is there more new than the outside?

For those of us without that magazine handy, any way you could scan that page and post a pic?

Sorry, didn't buy it. Those who have the latest one, the one with the axial RTC on the cover (not sure on the month, Pretty sure its the latest month) Sorry BrianG, I don't have a camera or a scanner anymore. The front (touches the motorplate) looks like a cap and the motor looks to be rebuildable

I wonder if it's their upcoming outrunners? There was a thread about this a while back. Sure would be nice to have something between the CMs36 motors and the CC/Neu motors; there's a pretty big gap there.

Looks like a new can design, with a removable front endbell. I wonder if the internals are still 2 pole?

Dragonfueled 07.06.2009 10:32 PM

would 4 pole motors run cooler then 2 pole motors? Man my 1/10th castle motors love the 200+ club lol

himalaya 07.09.2009 04:43 AM

Is the new CM36 still sensorless ?

ravin 07.09.2009 03:15 PM

It's going to be a cm-36 L 2200 mt motor:yipi:

If you remember a while back the CM motors were granted ROAR compliance for Mod racing - I'd be $1 that as part of that Castle agreed to change the motor design to make them rebuildable.

I'd also bet $1 that by XMAS we'll see a sensored motor range given what PDC has mentioned about "smart" sensored/less technology

PS MM Pro combo's listed on tower and cheaper than MM combos

Not sure but Castle has to be coming out with some new sensored motors after the release of the Mamba Max Pro.

crazyjr 07.09.2009 06:14 PM

^^I really doubt it, Castle says sensored is a lower technology, in many of their posts. However , they may go to a hybrid setup like tekins

On my request list, a 2800 to a 3500 kv CM36 motor for higher voltage setups

BL_RV0 07.09.2009 06:52 PM

Why? We have medusa 50mm motors.

ravin 07.09.2009 08:52 PM

The reason I posted this ....It's going to be a cm-36 L 2200 mt motor....is that it was on the box(at my LHS) that a new cm6900 was in. It was the last motor listed on the box, also on the side it gave the watts of the cm36s and cm36L...the L was 1200constant 2000 peak .

Glad to hear that, I have a stadium truck with a 5s setup and a 1200kv motor (lehner xl basic) and want something around double that kv, that will be perfect. Might also be good for 2s tall geared setups
